ppl in the church seem to have this belief that if you have a mental illness or anything like that , that you have some kind of demon. i read this story abt this woman who was bipolar and went to the church counselor for help. long story short they tried to rebuke the demon that was "making her bipolar" and when it didnt work they told her that she was obviously evil in some way and cld not come back to that church. the woman ended up going to an actual psychiatrist and getting help.

Well, if you look back on what we learned in church about heaven and hell, if you accepted Christ regardless you'd be going to heaven, even if you rejected the church later on. That being said, I am not sure that anything I learned on the subject is true, and so no, I am not too worried about it, and you shouldn't be either. You have to do what you feel is right for you!

I am a christian and have not had issues but I have a close friend who has seperated from the church and I agree with his and your issues. Perhaps because my mom, after being baptized, doughted if there was a god and was punished by people of faith for it so I have never been one to judge. I agree that religion = politics, but not all religions have god in common. Some religions believe in multiple gods, some dont even believe in a diety at all (buddism for example). Religion is a gathering of like beliefs, which organize against those whom share a different world view.

I hate those fucking christians, they are so full of shit. Religious people pretend to be about love and pretend to live for god but they really are just living for themselves. When something bad happens they say it's either satan's doing or it is god's will because you will learn something important out of all the misery you are experiencing.

The worst thing is when something shitty happens, and a christian will say "god never gives us anything more than we can handle!!!" it's like, if there was a "god" why in the hell would he throw shit in our faces? it's rediculous. they can never just accept responsibility for anything, it's either god or satan. Did they ever think that things could be their OWN fucking fault? it's crazy.

Most likely your youth leaders abandoned you because your situation not being explained in the bible. The answer could not be found in the text, so it is either made up or not of god. Therefore you are sinning on your own account, with no attempt to redeme your actions. It's ok though. Religion is man made, and man is anything but perfect (in our conception of perfection).

well, at that time i WAS 13 years old, so yes... hanson. But I still do like them, although I don't really feel like getting into a debate about it, because chances are you don't have a clue what they have been up to these days, and probably don't care :) haha. but i never considered hanson and cutting a "bad mix", probably the opposite, actually. idk.

I agree that religion = politics, but not all religions have god in common. Some religions believe in multiple gods, some dont even believe in a diety at all (buddism for example). Religion is a gathering of like beliefs, which organize against those whom share a different world view.

christy that is so sad. people who do things like that, you question yourself asking what you did you did wrong when in fact you did nothing wrong. you have to understand that people make mistakes and aren't perfect - it could be that none of them knew how to deal with that situation.

i think that i am the kind of person who always questions themself, even if they did nothing wrong. i have just learned to shoulder the blame in my life. but, im sure they didnt know how to deal, it just hurt because i trusted them so much. xox

SO MEAN! they probley thought you were a bad example on the other kids, alot of shitty stuff has happened to me in life, and I NEVER go to church, I think ive been like a couple times in my life, I actually find it really boring, lol but i still believe in god. ive realized that even when bad stuff happens its not gods fault, and he cant control everything that happens, good things happen, and bad things, that's just the way it works...
