Enoch Powell remembered as a great man, a great politician and a true patriot! He spoke for us when we needed him most and he spoke the truth. I saw him on the train one day years ago and if I had just thought and been bolder I would have gone up to him and shook his hand! He was a good man.
He would have made a very good prime minister - such a shame he was sacked by Heath just for expressing a valid concern.
