  • Oh the hypocrisy. Just more poo slinging in the poo slinging arena. Just another preacher preaching to the preaching of preaching. LMAO

I guess my greatest regret is that people so eagerly lap up this bile spewing.

  • I love the opening. DawahFilms claims he respects the truth. Yet when I asked and challenged him on a point I was blocked.

    The rest is refuted elsewhere.

  • well i will tell you the truth religion and science can never mix, and if any one wants to follow a religion how about taking a look at the ancient sumerians witch were able to depict the universe correctly before the word science was even thought of this is what ppl that follow religion hate. when you bring facts that their scriptures cannot fight.. i will put the belief of ancient sumerians against any religion and assure that it will prevail against any scripture..

  • @viego215 The video didn't say that religion and science should "mix" but that science can assist in bringing about an understanding of religion. For example, it can demonstrate where religions are outright wrong, and can also indicate where they may be correct.

  • @KevinSolway i just feel as tho instead of tryn to marry the 2 idealogies they should use science to do what it can very clearly do with relative ease show that the idea of religion is corrupt and just plain wrong i do get your point i just dislike the fact that religion will try to evolve itself around critical thinking instead of facing it.. i dont maybe im just an ass hole like my family tells me cuz i dont believe what they believe.. but thanx for pointing it out..

  • @viego215 The idea of religion isn't necessarily corrupt. It depends what the idea of religion is. Buddhism is a religion, yet the idea of it isn't necessarily corrupt. Religion is only corrupt when it makes false claims.

Science cannot be the counter to all of the deceptions of human mind. We have to use philosophy and rational thought where science leaves off.

  • @KevinSolway and you sir are right! :-) i stand corrected, i answered without giving my reply any thought. i can not try to defy your comment becuz i would be lien to my self. you sir are a truly knowlegeble being thnk you for pointing out the descrepensies in my statement...

  • Overall though, it's a good video. Thunderf00t has been hypocritical before (Example: Ad Hominum stares a lot and similar). However most popular Youtubers even the ones I like (Coughlan666 / 616, and Thunderf00t, Inmendham, and very very very long list) have been hypocritical at times.

  • or maybe Thunderf00t was just nervous in person, as was Ray Comfort. In the case of Dawah vs Thunderf00t, can you not see that they were both simply playing the "my side is stronger than your side" game?

  • @TruthBeyond With regard to TF vs DF, I don't particularly care that people take sides, the only thing that matter to me is that a person is actually *right*, and speaks the truth. If a person is going to attack others then they had better make sure that they are right.

  • @KevinSolway Interesting. I meant it in a “my daddy in bigger than your daddy” kinda of thing. My army of (America "fuck yeah") is stronger than you and you're terrorist helpers or ever he had. Neither was right. Thunderf00ts use of armchair psychobabble was indeed fail, and he has indeed used ad homiums on other occasions as it says in my other post.

  • I'm on his side of the argument, and I agree with most of that. I really can't agree with all of it though. It seems like he conflates anti-theism with Thunderf00t and his fanboys. Ironically it's similar (although much less hyperbolic) to what Thunderf00t does with Muslims. It's a little too "atheist but" for me. I totally agree with the main point though.

  • @sonnygll I don't think he's conflating anti-theism with TF. For example, Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens are anti theists, but I don't think Hallcyon would conflate them with the TF crowd. It's possible to be anti theist without having to abandon morality and rationality.

  • @KevinSolway

That's actually the way I took it, that Dawkins, Hitchens, etc were being lumped in with TF. Some of it sounds like those speeches you see sometimes that are along the lines of "I'm an atheist but we shouldn't criticize religion".

But maybe that's not what he means, and most people aren't taking it like that. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

  • @sonnygll Hallcyon is certainly not lumping Dawkins and HItchens in with Thunderfoot. And he's not against criticizing religion. I just saw Hallcyon on blogtv and he confirmed that the only thing he's against are *false* and unfair criticisms of people generally, such as ad hominem attacks and the usage of strawman tactics. If you're going to attack someone then you'd better make sure that you're right, and TF and co. fail to do this, in my view.

  • Good job.
