  • America do yourself a favour and vote for Ron Paul.

Good luck from across the pond ;)

  • and by the way its not the present governments fault if they shut them all down then they loose a big portion of there income

  • ALSO BY THE WAY THE PUBLIC WORKERS GET PAID ON THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THEY SAVE IF THEY DONT SAVE ANYONE THEY DONT GET PAID SO ITS THE OTHER WAY ROUND

  • yay......

  • It was about your freedom to make what ever deal with who ever you wanted. Now unless obamanation care is repealed we will all take orders from the government. They will seize our health care premiums, filter the money through their own wallets in Washington and maybe we will get a fraction of our labor back. Yea thats right, it's theft.

  • Zionist illumanti (international bankers) should go ahead and die.

  • Yawn. Worse than "evil" insurance companies is a government who tries to grasp control. Give me "evil" capitalists over evil government leaders (Obama, Pelosi, Reed, etc) ANYDAY.

  • Pointlessly naive and one-sided. Just wait till the retards in government, with no experience in running a successful anything, get ahold of your healthcare.

  • i love people who are against the "corporations" after all our standard of living in the US isnt the result of "corporations" thats just crazy. And oh man these evil "corporations" don't sell anything i use or need... no way. Lets just get rid of the evil corporations and have some fat bureaucratic dickheads run the economy like they did in the ussr or still do in north korea.

    Viva la che

  • @person22244

I'm fine with corporations running the economy, but they need to stop running the government.

  • 4lifejackhammer, we've heard it all before. Private sector? Government? Refprms of the bad practices on all sides? The operating words are "bad practices". It doesn't matter who does what, money will flow where those who have the money want it to. Into their pockets. I defy anybody to prove me wrong in any meaningful way!

  • LoL

  • my Dad has paranoid schizophrenia. he's on social security. he's been in and out of state hospitals for years. who's speaking up for people with mental illnesses?

  • @healthcare well my mum has been mentally ill for 5 years and the NHS has paid for everything

  • The Obama plan will make sure these same health insurance companies will get 40 million more paying customers. In return, we'll get some promises.

Doesn't sound like a good deal to me.

  • Actually, as of this writing, what you're talking about is the Baucus plan. And yeah, we agree - the individual mandate is a dream come true for private insurers. They would like nothing more than to force everyone to buy their product, while having no credible limit on how much they can charge, or how little they will actually cover.

  • Well, I heard Obama say as much in his speech to congress. Public option? If there is one, something that Obama seriously played down in his speech, it will be so weak I guarantee you it will be negligible.

  • advertisement of public option;

"you can choose any option, so long as its this one!"

  • Excellent.

  • wOw

and this was made in 2006!?

  • Kindda Sums up what non americans think of american Health system !

  • Kinda sums up the truth of the American health care system.

  • @MilkmanConspiracy what? the public healtcare people likely don't core about you, sure, but you should remember that insurance companies only make about 3% profit. I'm not defending the current system, because government makes up 40% of it and the private sector insurers are heavily regulated. But don't get carried away bashing the corporations, at least make sure its true.

  • @kubaniski Public health care?

  • @MilkmanConspiracy ohh. i'm sorry private healthcare, although the public healthcare people care even less .

  • @kubaniski I don't actually think that's possible.

  • @MilkmanConspiracy what do you mean? the private companies have an incentive to provide good care or else people will switch to their competitors, while public workers don't care about quality because they get paid no matter what.

  • @kubaniski Because a private company can't get more money by dropping you when you get sick than if they hung onto you? And people don't switch because EVERY company does it. And what if even with bad service, that company is all they can afford?

  • @MilkmanConspiracy If an insurance company drops people then i don't by my insurance from them, the company that provided my insurance had a policy which guaranteed that they will not turn me down which is why i chose to buy their plan (it only cost me $30 a month). And as to your last sentence this is where i think we should have reform the government needs to stop making barrier to entry laws so more companies could compete for our business.

  • Very well done!

  • could they made the pandemic outbreaks to extorsion the ensurrance owners?

  • I love this video presentation and it would be wonderful if someone could make a similar one in French since we might be able to use it to mobilize francophones from Canada.

Congratulations and best regards to everyone who participated in the realization of this DVD.

Healthmusic... I also love your comment.

  • Fucking awesome and unfortunately true

  • this is fucking awesome

  • And Congress sheep still don't get it. People are sick of special interests. Taking single payer - even public option off the table was stupid.

  • A very good video of an extremely important subject; the dire need for affordable healthcare in the USA.

I am a folk musician/singer/songwriter, wrote much in concern over healthcare crisis and an activist for affordable healthcare. I seriously want to do something about the Pirates of the Health Care-ibbean.

My Old Friend Martin said, "of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane."

  • Thank you, this was very well done. We are in need of a system that puts preventative health care within reach of EVERYONE. A higher emphasis on preventative care would dramatically decrease the demand for "miracle cures" that cause more harm than good. Control over a society is accomplished by instilling fear into the people; what better way than promote disease and debt among the populace? Corporate greed is rooted in personal greed. Please everyone, beware the seeds you sow!!

  • Sicko! I am sailing to Canada!!!

  • Healthcare is the single most important issue in the 2008 election. United States is the only Western industrialized nation with out universal healthcare. The private sector is not stable enough for healthcare. Our own health is at stake here. Kucinich is the only canidate who coauthored the HR 676 bill, a bill that was supposed to lead to a more healthier and prosperous America through single-payer, universal healthcare.

  • suprise, suprise...

you were lied to during an election. maybe you'll stop supporting people who support corporations?

  • private sector not stable enough for healthcare? hmm, lets explore why

    1. state limitations require coverage you may not want. in wisconsin, a girl must be covered for testicular cancer and a male must be covered for cervical cancer.

    2. doctors must charge high rates to pay for malpractice, since the missing of the smallest of details could lead to a million lost.

    3. said doctors do several unneccessary tests to protect themselves against malpractice, further increasing costs.

  • 4. insurance companies use politicians, on both sides, to help kill the new rising stars of the company through restricting legislation, hence 1.

    5. all these problems are in fact caused by the government's meddling hand. a doctor irresponsible enough to not get malpractice will surely lose. not requiring it, though, makes some not take it, and thus malpractice lowers cost to stay in buisness. reduction of state limitations causes an influx of competition. not requiring coverage of bs also lower

  • We Americans are sheep!:-(

  • evidence that our health care system does not work

    youtube com/watch?v=DxJtyIjjmEA

  • People should start suing health insurance companies, not doctors, when they're denied care. i work in healthcare and it makes me ill to see what we have to do because of insurance control. They practice outside research and hold us all captive.

  • I like our system the way it is. You pay for it and you get it.

  • What if you have a pre existing condition and the companies wont insure you? Is this fair?

  • what if you're really old or really young, and the government doesn't see you potentially paying into the system or paying into the system any more? government are pirates too! so do you want simply a lot of freelance pirates out in the water, or a legally protected monopoly of pirateers!

  • What we really need are names and addresses of corporate CEOs.

  • I just wonder, how long it will take before we realize and do something about this. The government is not doing much about it. take Enron, Chiquita, and now the health care system.

  • When civilians start realising their shortcomings all you have to do is invade a country to distract them from their problems and buy yourself time. It seems incredible that the American people are so well... slow in reacting, no offense to any of you.

  • agree

  • I can't get how people (in the U.S.) simply wave their flag and follow the leader to go to war when there are so many shortcomings in own country they must attend to. Yet when the government goes out to kill people on the other side of the globe, all happily tag along supporting them. it is indeed true that war is meant not to win but to keep society together.

  • 100% agree

  • my wife is dying from zometa. i hate all doctors-hospitals and expecially the bastard health insurance companies.

  • I am sorry to hear that. Believe me, it makes my blood boil to hear about corporate greed, exploitation, etc...

  • Excellent! Oh and to those who thought it to be a bit much, honestly ask anyone in the corporate health insurance industry if they personally care for the life or death of a client not lobbying, voting, paying excessively for, or giving favor to them (not incuniating what kind of favors, who knows what else this bastards do).

  • Excellent! It's always a bit easier to take the ugly truth with a dash of satire. Well done. BTW; You may want to keep a weather eye for the Lackeys of the Pirates of the Care-Ibbean. Seems a few are lurking in these waters. And yes, they do tell people to go ahead and die. We grieve the loss in my sweet niece.

  • what a cliche and poorly thought out message, 'the man' is evil....yawn, next please

  • Yeah. Real creative. Like company ceo's really hope people "go ahead and die". The real problem is an out of control legal system (yes, I mean you attorneys). Your message does no good except to perpetuate people's fear. And pass the buck without accepting even a smidgen of the blame for escalating costs.
