  • Rick Scarborough and his kind are so brainwashed that they have to go out and brainwash others to there cause. They will destroy America and the world if we let them.

  • "...was by god's intervention."

    Prove it.

But of course they never bother; after all, who needs objective, empirical evidence when we have bronze-age mythology to rely on. No, they only ever merely assert their religious ideologies and expect the rest of us to brainlessly nod in agreement.

What is upsetting is that so many people do just that.

  • Imagine if this is the only kind of person still wandering Earth when the end comes. (Whatever causes it). That'd be fucking funny.

  • @soapflake79 He would screw any animal he could and thank god that there are still animals to mate with.

  • Yet another effin idiot. Rick Scarborough - proof that the mentally unstable mated with donkeys.

  • America belongs to God! America was founded by God! Jesus died over 2000 years ago so we could have america!

  • Shit. I've been to this church once. In fact it was shortly after the earthquake in Haiti. The pastor said God caused the earthquake to happen because of the sin Haitians have committed.... And people wonder why I'm an atheist.

  • Did we change the name of "France" to "god?"

  • Comment removed

  • I agree! It must have been intervention from god!

...Or from France and Spain; that might have done the trick...

  • Or maybe they were better?

Lets see... magical wizard, or they were just better, hmm...

    AVADA KADAVRA

  • So God's intervention must be what enabled tiny North Vietnam to defeat the gigantic United States. At last! An explanation!

  • Actually, it wasn't God, it was the French. But close enough?

  • I thought it was because of Washington's gay military adviser.

  • The fundie model: If you can't explain something with logic, history, etc., say, "It was God's doing!"

  • Billions of galaxies in the known universe and God picks out one little planet and then gives us one small section of land on that planet. Thanks God.

  • It hurts - It hurts - it hurts

  • God: "England, I really don't like your high taxes and monarchy style of government. I'm just gonna hand the colonies over to my pal Washington here"

King George: "Wtf god? fuck you we're taking em back!"

God: "We'll see about that. Here President Washington take my power!"

And so George Washington conquered the evil brits with his pal Jesus and Jefferson, and that's how 'Merica was born.

  • @Mestilf22 I really did laugh out loud

  • So at which specific points did God intervene? Show us some objective evidence, Rick.

  • @unforgivn81 give him some time to make shit up

  • If his God then approved of the open genocide of Native Americans, I want nothing to do with him. When one looks at how this land was stolen, it is clear who the heartless savages were. Too bad the "Manifest Destiny" wasn't half as righteous as some imagine it to be; it was filled with biological warfare, broken treaties, split families, blood and the suffering of innocent people from coast to coast.

  • The only way the US could've won the Revolutionary War was the Christian god interfering? That's hilarious. I guess the French helping and Britain having to send ships to the colonies weren't a factor. So the Founding Fathers did nothing 'cause it was all thanks to Jeebus. This nutjob is ridiculous.

  • religion is stupid

  • It's okay to believe that God gave us this country! It's okay! I doubt that RWW would object if a Muslim said that this country was given to us by Allah himself. I'm a liberal and a fine believer in the separation of church and state but when we attack Christians for believing the way they believe, it's not fair and it's intolerant.

  • @TripperTrail Even when it is logically and factually unfounded?

  • @edgwaterprog The Constitution doesn't give us the right to have an opinion or belief that is ONLY supported by facts or logic. It gives us the right to an opinion and to have any religious conclusion regardless if it is supported by facts or logic. Let the man preach what he wants. It doesn't affect my day-to-day life.

  • @TripperTrail It is fine with me if he believes and preaches lies. However, it is not an "attack" or "intolerant" to publically expose his lies.

  • @edgwaterprog Oh, I think it's an attack. And I believe that RWW is intolerant of Christians. If someone uploaded a video of two women kissing, getting married, and then have "Left Wing Watch" at the end of the video, people would be screaming "Intolerant! You're attacking LGBT!" But when we expose a preacher talking about his personal beliefs, it's totally okay and we laugh about it. I don't believe everything he said was true, but I am not going to treat him unfairly.

  • @TripperTrail I am really not sure what point you are trying to make. If your imagined "Left-Wing-Watch" showed two women marrying and kissing and then stated that lesbian couples can sexually reproduce, LWW would be doing something comparable to RWW. Rick Scarborough has not simply stated a theological position about God's hand in history; he is claiming that the Colonies signal handedly defeated Great Britain because of divine providence.

  • @edgwaterprog Never mind about my analogy. lol And if he believes that the Colonies signal handedly defeated Great Britain because of divine providence, as I said before, that's his right to believe that. A lot of people believe that God created Earth and the Universe; and others believe that there was a big bang and that we evolved from a single-celled organism. Let him believe what he wants. And if you're so outraged that he believes this, go talk to him. I cannot do anything about it.

  • @TripperTrail Facts are facts, if a person chooses to speak in public where camera's are filming then they should be prepared to have the speech analyzed.

  • @edgwaterprog And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with LGBT. Lol I am gay myself. I am just the kind of person who is tolerant of all belief systems. I like People For the American Way and I enjoy a lot of RWW blogs. I am just saying that I don't see any harm in what preachers are preaching. The only harm there is is when they try to impose their beliefs on the entire country. I believe in the separation of church and state and in freedom of speech.

  • @TripperTrail The issue here, which PFAW does not make clear, is that Rick Scarborough is using Dominionist language so technically is trying to impose his views on the entire country. The Dominionists, do not believe in the separation of church and state, either. It is important to call these people out at every opportunity. I am gay, too by-th-way.

  • @edgwaterprog Lol. Well, that's true! Good argument!

  • Good thing God seems to be helping those fighting the US in Iraq and Afghanistan.

  • Is there no end to the stream of narrow minded idiots who pretend to know what they're talking about?
