  • it looks like robocop's first guitar D:

  • we've got the same tuner :D

  • Just tune it manually. There's more annoying things about playing guitar like changing strings. Make a robot that'll do that and trim the excess string off and then I'll happily tune the damn thing in.

  • redneck gibson robot guitar

  • @LukeQuietus Thats true, but auto tuners are commonly used in loud situations (gigs for example)

     or maybe for a beginner.

  • @LukeQuietus Amen, but this is still impressive.

  • @BeastOfPreyAgain they sell a robotic tuner

  • you just must take gibson robot

  • just get the String Master Tunermatic Robotic

  • ...io non sono mai morto di fatica accordando la mia chitarra...

  • "the green light got on, that's a good sign..." lol

  • Nobody tunes perfect by ear.

You can get close but an oscilloscope is the only this that can count that many wavelengths.

Problem I have is that even at perfect opening tuning no guitar has perfect setup so it will sound out of tune higher up the neck -OR- when doing chords at the top of the neck.

You can't have it both ways.

I have figured out it is possible to angle of file the frets to compensate for difference in string radius sizes.

  • guys i have played 6 different instruments for years and years. GIve this kid a break. This is frigging cool and creative. Lets all stop being so negitive. Self Tunning is an important skill. This is just cool

  • I tune by ear and harmonics..and its dead on every time. so kisssss my b b butt

  • cool.

    but we have the Robot.

    less cords :D

  • Maybe you'll have a nicer, longer lasting tuning sound with the natural harmonic, let it ring longer and use a PID algorithm to tune it fast while ringing. Just a thought.

    Nice Idea btw!!

  • Ibanez FTW

  • I have that tuner (I think).

    Korg GA-30 FTW!

  • Where can I buy?

  • Or at least really detailed how-to, so I can make one of my own.

  • i'll stick to manualy tuning my strings actualy showing some musical skill. The machine is awsome but i see it only making up and comeing musicians dependent on this machine instead of haveing the knoledge to be able to tume by ear.

  • If you already have the knowledge whats the point? A big musician paid around $3k for a guitar that auto tunes itself. Much more convenient than this but he has been playing for 30 years. So it makes you less of a musician because you let the guitar tune itself? Doesn't make sense.

  • its a little to fancy for me

  • why not just a gibson robot

  • coz not everyone cn afford it..

  • ultimate lazy-ass person's guitar

  • Its 50 times bigger than the Trans Performance and only does one string at once...

must really take some talent to build something like that yourself though. I looked into it doing it myself and gave up. XD

  • ...I'll just stick to my standard tuner.

  • lol how long does that take to make

  • I have an ibanez RG321

  • Ibanez FTW!

  • no my friend does and it sucks

  • maybe sell it to fender?

  • a) Its home made. Means that they probably find joy in making things as that.

    b) The robot guitars cost silly amounts of money.

  • i guess they made this coz there's pride in doing something, i think it's a great proyect, and it seems like nobody here knows shit about electronics, because what those kids did, it's actually pretty complicated stuff

  • gibson, jackson, and musicman are good too.

  • Esp,Dean and Fender are superior.

  • no dean accually sux

  • i agree, but the suckiest guitar is a squire stratocastor. they r like 50 usd and everyone has one and they suck!! haha

  • haha yeah true

  • no, actually 4 my first guitar i got it at target and it wuz called a fender STARCASTER(no typo) the neck was incredibly thick, it never stayed in tune, the frets were dangerously sharp, the standard strings rusted in a week and the sound wuz terrible.

  • i got that same guitar from Sam's Club like two years ago. It was horrible. But it came with a strap, picks, cables, amp, and all sorts of other great stuff :D

  • 1. Who would buy a guitar at Sams Club?

    2. You got an Ibanez at Sams Club??

    Lol

  • No. That comment was so long ago dude! Hahahaha!

Nah, but it was in reply to "

    Creepermatt "'s comment.

  • Lol. Retarded ass youtube comments. It looked like you were replying to the video with this lol. I was like wtf Sams Club do you shop at rofl.

  • What? Okay.

  • YEAH IBANEZ!

  • thats not imposibble.... you get a small engine like that... make a great program, and that "whats that sound" thing :P

  • ibanez is ftw gibson is ok but not ftw :P

  • gibon is shit compared to ibanez you fuckin idiot.

  • What kind of angry reply is that? Are you serious? how ignorant of you...

  • Totally different guitars, and you should go suck a donkey cock for being that ignorant

  • wow ok there bud. thats y gibson's are 1,000-5,000 and ibanez's are 500-1500 i had an ibanez g-10 and it sucked

  • its called overpriced, and secondly your ibanez sucked because you bought the LOWEST END model. An Ibanez Prestige S series > fender strat anyday. If you havent played a real Ibanez , then your probably dont appreciate them.

  • yep im 14 an i got an rg 7321 an its fkkin mint for the price i payed (£310)

  • computers are spoiling us. :-P

  • now all you need is to rig it up to a stand so you can tune your guitar every time you put it down! that would be amazing!
