  • 0:54 i tried that on my guitar. I was dissapointed.

  • i hate prs guitars

  • @BayouBluesMan why? I love the things but I am not good enough to justify one hehe.

  • @BayouBluesMan It's possible ?

  • Comment removed

  • these are my dream guitars i wish i had one them just the best of the world

    love PRS lives forever

  • why are they so expensive...

  • I think he just get the point of the guitar player needs.... PRS is better than the best strat and les paul together..... I would love to hear the sound of today made PRS after 30 years.... The stradivari legends reborn on 6 strings... Paul: thank u .thank u ,thank u!!!!

  • he reminds me of steve jobs

  • awesome

  • Any chance of some classical guitars Paul?

  • The one dislike to this video is from someone who want's one so bad but can't afford it

  • @Ethanshredguitar like a lot of people i would imagine

  • Just bought a 99' custom 22 10 top hope its good as i remember them being

  • <3

  • Heyy IMet Him Last Thursday =DD

  • Perfection now has a name, it is PRS.

  • ALL RESPECT FOR PAUL REED SMITH!!! EVERYTHING SHOULD BE MADE THIS WAY !!! EVERYBODY SHOULD WORK AND THINK THE WAY PAUL IS !!!! MASSIVE RESPECT TO YOU PAUL !!!

  • I get inspired every time I listen to Paul. I bet he really is the first one there in the morning and the last to leave. I wish I had a job I enjoyed so much.

  • The best electric guitars I've ever played or owned.. And I've been buying and collecting gutars for the better part of 50 years.

  • He is a Steve Jobs for guitars

  • @dzohusafetw VERY astute comment...really made me think and smile; well done! I wondered why I enjoy both the Apple an PRS products so much, now I see the connection :)

  • The best guitars on the planet, no doubt. But, sadly, I can't even afford the SE models :(

Time to save up $600, go to GuitarCenter, and buy a Tremonti SE

  • Thats it! I got $2,000.00 right now. I am going to Birds, and Moons to buy a Nice PRS!!!! Thanks for the vid!! Love it!!

  • OMG Paul looked a little like 'Howard Stern' from those 80s pics.

  • i've got a 2003 Singlecut... and it's just awesome...

  • HE'S COMIN TO MY SCHOOL TOMMOROW

  • love the les-paul shaped (maroon) PRS... however i'm not a big fan of the headstock shape... it's too sharp-looking.

  • i love you, man! And I love my '97 custom 22 in root beer.

  • I'm getting that Yellow Tiger he's got...

  • I LOVE PRS GUITARS!!!

  • 7:50 - 8:00...at least someone still gives a shit these days

  • damn he looks like a legit down to earth guy..makes me trust PRS guitars even more and look at em with respect ^_^

  • That blue PRS is really sexy..

  • after watching this, i will definately buy a prs...thought about buying a gibson lpj but now i got a new view.

  • Your right gibson is windows fender is Sony and prs are apple;D if you want it in a computer tech point of view lol

  • @21stCENTURYBOY12 In a computer point of view PRS would be Google haha! Apple is probable the most evil company ever.

  • @IllusionaryMind8 why? for creating the FIRST personal computer EVER? Bill gates stole 3/4 of his ideas and devices from apple. Apple revolutionized the music industry, and continues to keep the virus-less title it has had since the beginning of computers. Have fun with them anti-virus updates i heard take like a half hour! I'll be listening to music on iTunes and downloading songs to my iPod while going on whatever site I want not having to worry about all that shit that can't touch my macbook

  • @21stCENTURYBOY12 if gibson is windows that means its shit and i have to buy a new one every 2 years? i've had my sg since '07 and its still sexxy as hell!! I'll have to agree that prs is a badass company and they absolutely resemble apple, but at least say gibson is like bugatti or something hahahahha. fender is more like windows. you gotta dump some seriosu cash into it to make it sound good cuz that guitar has less output than justin bieber in a supprano fest lmao!!!!

  • He's like the Steve Jobs of the guitar industry. Except he gets laid way more because he plays guitar.

  • i just bought the prs se torero guitar... it`s awesome! xD

  • PRS

  • I love those guitars but those guitars dont love my wallet

  • what song is in the background at the beginning?

  • to me, he really looks like a dreamer.... in a good sense....

  • I've owned a ce24 for about 10yrs. now and I plan on being buried with it!!!!!!!!

  • @RussianCivilian I got a se custom 22 and im frankly not too cray about it however i love PRS im thinking of maybe getting a used american prs custom of some sort.

  • @RussianCivilian they really are a work of art. what kind of amp do you use?

  • @adidas331 I have quite a few amps, a Marshall Lead 12, a

peavy. My main amp is either a Randall RX412 or a Carvin V3L

  • @RussianCivilian carvin huh...very interesting. i have an orange crush 30r...i like it, but i'm always curious as to other types.

  • I have a custom 24 and a SE singlecut and You can tell that this man just absolutely loves his job. And as for me, I love his products.

  • huh i kind of had him pictured as this big long haired rocker dude... i guess i was wrong

  • I saw Opeth play at Luna Park in Sydney a couple of years ago and for the first time, heard a PRS Custom 24 in the hands of Michael Åkerfeldt. The sonic clarity, purity of sound and amazing tonality was stunning - a simply gorgeous instrument.

  • He tells it beautifully. After decades of not even trying PRS guitars (a money thing) I finally tried a solid mahogany to black sunburst 1991 Standard 24. And I will never let it go - what a pleasure to play. My thought was: in this financial crisis everything is too expensive, so what the hell...

  • @RussianCivilian

You have no idea how jealus I am

  • What's the song in the beginning?

  • @pandemichalo92 I believe it's Jenna's Eyes by Paul Reed Smith.

  • Those guitars are seriously gorgeous. If I ever buy another guitar... It's going to be one of these. :D

  • I know who owns that guitar at 1:46

  • @RussianCivilian is it good for metal?

  • @wowspare Yes

  • @wowspare i think with the proper pickups its good for literally anything.

  • I want one!

  • if its true then why the fuck do his guitars cost so much

  • @tylereturnity

because you get a great instrument. there is still a lot of handwork, fender for example is very automated. besides this the quality of the woods is better. the dryingprocess.

all these things cost money and you have to pay for it but its worth it. why else would santana play prs for over 20 years

  • PRS defintely make the best finishes. I've always admired that, as well as the stunning sound.

  • Nothing but love for the PRS family!

  • The red guitar to his right, I have it

  • Just bought a Special Edition Tararo PRS...EMG pickups and locking tuning heads, including a floyd rose whammy. I literally am in heaven when I play it. You can tell so much passion is put into crafting every part of it. I respect Paul Reed Smith, and I will be playing his guitars for a long time.

  • @BenSmith912 Ehm... it's spelled torero xD BTW, great guitar!!

  • Sure PRS guitars are the best! Opeth uses them! :)

  • @BmArthas and Between the Buried and Me :)

  • If Paul Reed Smith was God, and his guitars were humans. we would be a beautiful super-human race, with women that only made noise when you picked them up and gave them a good old fingering. pardon the pun.

  • @Dan2112prs I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • i love this guy... i must get a paul reed smith soon!!!

  • Once you bring a CNC machine into the picture and knock these things out like cans of spam, it's no longer an art form.

  • @kamaboko1

go to their site and watch the videos on production. cnc is just a small part and roughcut. the rest is handcrafted

  • I love this guy, the way he thinks. I look at life the same way he compared writing a song

  • @funkin182 Yeah - why buy a Ferrari when you can drive a Ford Taurus - they both go down the road and will get your from Point A to Point B. Only an idiot would by a Ferrari....

  • i agree with most of what he says except the block. i like my block with shallow string recess's. so the string goes through the entire block. the guitar resonates much better. Also its gotta be a pre CBS trem block. 100% cold rolled steel weighing 10oz at least. compare the block of this guitar to the block of 57 strat and you know what i mean. although i don't like his guitars, paul reed smith is the new leo fender of the new generation.

  • fair play this guy and the company have sutch passion for what thay do and u got to respect that . just brilliant

  • I do not think that you will find a more hands on president the PRS. It has made him what he is. This is the reason I am a proud owner of two a ce and a se. I stumbled onto the ce22 I have in 1997 and saught out the see semi-hollow that I have. This si the reason that I will probably buy nothing but PRS in the future.

  • @KoolKluxKlan666 lol it ran me about $1200 off ebay and as i said i built my own cab to save money. its from a guy called bill fitzmaurice online he sells amazing schematics. id say its the greatest sounding piece of shit ever too bad you cant hear it.

  • Passionate man!

  • @RussianCivilian It's too bad that they had to discontinue their SE Custom 22 and 24's

  • i like this video, and now i know i got and bought a great guitar

  • im noob at guitar and im tight on a budget (below 750usd)...need help

  • @swisscheesepotatochi The PRS SE series is awfully nice for that price range.

  • i used to like gibsons. i went and tried a gibson, but was dissapointed with it...and the store owner passed me a custom 24.. played it in the store for an hour and bought it.

  • I hear ya. Gibson's quality has taken a nosedive since... hmm... 60's? lol PRS is more bang for the buck. I would own one, but the necks aren't wide enough for me.

  • @ejlister

is the wide fat cut not wide enough?? otherwise go for a private stock! you can come to the factory and layout how you want the neck to be cut

  • What's the color on that guitar yellow tiger I want it cus I went on the web site an couldn't find it

  • @LthTV

    its a private stock color.

  • never had the pleasure of playing a PRS.. maybe one day..

  • Just go to a guitar store or Guitar center and they will let you play one......but i would bring money with you becasue after you play it , youre gonna want to buy it

  • Having tested a PRS Custom 24, I said to myself:

"Damn!!! I want a PRS!!!, To hell with my Gibson and all Gibson guitars!!!"

Paul Reed Smith is undoubtedly a genius and a visionary.

    :::h|Left:::

  • nothing plays like a PRS!

  • wow...made me want a PRS!

  • Comment removed

  • WOW! I've always wanted a PRS guitar ever since I laid eyes on one.

  • for some reason, after seeing this interview, I really trust Paul Reed Smith. he seems like a genuine, hands-on guy. NOT some corporate clown.

  • @pillarsofserpents Not only that.

Name another major Guitar company where the guy who's name is on the guitar still talks, helps make designs, promotes and co-own's the company and basically CARE's about the guitars and not the money

  • @pillarsofserpents totally agree. met him last week at GC in SF. Genuine guy; committed to the synergy of respect for the past and innovation. Yesterday I traded in my Les Paul Studio (which I really liked) for a used PRS USA bolt-on and couldn't be happier. The imported SE's are amazing in general, not just for their pricepoint, either.

  • @pillarsofserpents True, clearly not like the Gibson dude.

  • @pillarsofserpents Its simple really. When you lay your hands on a PRS guitar, you know its true. Body and Soul on them!

    :)

  • @pillarsofserpents oh yah. Paul Reed Smith is a master of his craft.

  • @pillarsofserpents I agree, he's just a guy who loves guitars and strives to make the best ones possible, and guess what, he succeeds!

  • @pillarsofserpents

He IS a corporate dude but hasnt lost track of where he came from. I like Paul.

  • @pillarsofserpents Paul Reed Smith comes round to one of the local highschools in my area to talk about business and stuff. my buddy met him and said he's a pretty big tool an arrogant.

with that said I dont think anyone builds a better guitar. now Im not talking tone because thats subjective. some guys love the quack of teles and strats, other guys love the warmth of a les paul. but if you look just at the design and not the tone, PRS is light years ahead of the competition

  • @AlexanderBlueAvenue he really is a very honest, genuine guy. he can be a bit blunt, and tell it like it is - but one of the nicest, most generous guys around.

  • Gotta PRS and his company!... the PRS design of the C22 and the 513 and single cuts are so superior to other major guitar makers. They cost more for a reason. If you're a musician and you're passionate, you'll play guitar your whole life - so why not invest in something that will last a long time and never let you down.

  • that man has a vision and its just great. i love his instruments both the old ones and the brand new ones i order

  • WOW!!!

  • WOW?

  • WOW!!

  • Wow, that was inspiring....

  • WOW!!

  • WOW!!

  • WOW!!
