Kebea, yes and no to your question. Yes,the squares are about 2" but they were not cut out individually. 2" strips were cut, sewn together and then cut into 2" squares which makes for putting this quilt together really fast. Check out some books on Amazon or in your bookstore on strip piecing. Happy Quilting!
Hi, Marlu - looks like I didnt' reply to your question. I apologize. This is a very easy pattern when you put it together using "strip piecing" I hand quilted it and like you I prefer to do hand quilt because I also agree it's like good therapy and the payoff is great too!

I really like this pattern. Is that a hard pattern? Do you hand quilt or machine quilt? I do both but prefer hand quilting. Good therapy for me.LOL!
