I live just down the road and it is something else to walk the Mumma Cornfield, where 7000 Union men fell in 5 hours or in the Sunken Road/Bloody Lane/Roulette Farm where 5000 Union and Confederates fell. Few places I have ever been are quite so powerful.
You have to ask Why was war for the rich to gain just for the MONEy to be made at the cost of ones life. Look at the war in Afganistan WHy? Too many good young men go for naught.
