The genius of Charles Schultz. I remember hearing his grade school art teacher say she gave her students an assignment to draw any objects they wanted in groups of three. Most students drew 3-4 groups. Charles Schulz used a 11x14 sheet of paper and totally filled it. He just dwarfed every other kid in the room. Watching this I see that imagination at work. I've always loved this sequence. Thanks for posting. RIP Charles Schulz.
When I see this and see a tv-show for kids nowadays, it often shows that the intelligence rate has dropped below zero. This is art, pure and beautiful art in a tv-show meant for kids. What happened that things like this all but dissapeard?
@d007ization ... seriously?... just... really? any child that can understand it doesnt need it... what do you define as necessity? This kicks the shit out of teletubbies any day, and life is not all sunshine and rainbows, Realism will teach kids more than Blatant lies about the future, have you ever wondered why depression is on the rise?
We lie to our kids about how great the world is, when really that isnt reality, and we find that out as we grow up.
@Negatefaith I'm sorry but what child could make sense of this? If you want your child to know about the world tell them to watch the news or something.
@smithrs this was aired on holidays as a cartoon special for my country. It suddenly gave meaning and context to the piano pieces I hated and had to practice!!!
I remember seeing this as a kid on a tv special; it came out of left field and blew me away; it especially blew my sister away, who was a piano student at the time.
There should have been many more of these moments from the Peanuts gang, instead of slowly becoming more vanilla and commercial as time went on.
Wow... I have seen this last time years ago on recorded VHS as a child and its surely now more than 10 years ago, I still remember parts of this video. I kind of liked from all of this though not with such understanding as today. One of my favorite Peanuts moments!

Schroeder is not a bad pianist at all! I finally got to hear him play a Beethoven sonata.

I was 6 or 7 when this came out. This did more to open my mind to classical music, and art in general, then anything I was ever exposed to in school.
I completely love this.
