  • Fucking terrorists ruined what could have been an epic scene with the bank robbery and the huge web. Reminded me of TDK's opening robbery

  • they shouldn't have deleted this scene

  • So the terrorists were DC fans?

  • If only Spiderman was there on 9-11. He would've fucked those terrorists up.

  • @TheFantasticals Marvel actually did a comic about 9/11. Though I doubt Spider man could stop a 727 going at full speed.

  • you can still see the WTC sometimes in the original movie.

the shot at 1:27 hasn't been altered either in the movie.

  • thats the perfect trailer for a movie. its innovative and it gives you a great WTF moment and then you realize its spiderman and you didnt SEE ANYTHING from the movie. trailers today tell me 99% of all story elements in a movie. this is how trailers are supposed to be made, hit u in the face, tell you what movie it is and THATS IT. i saw this the first time when it aired on TV, i didnt even know there was going to be a spiderman movie. blew my mind. thats how its supposed to be.

  • This may sound disrespectful, but I wish they would put this back in the movie. This would have been a great reveal for Spider-Man. The Nostalgia Critic was right though, they really overdid the 'American Pride' in this movie.

  • That's insane. =( The ultimate impact of seeing the WTC in movies is in Coyote Ugly.

  • who farted?

  • Thumbs up if you are watching this the 9/11, 2011

  • Then they got blown up hahahaha

  • @BoboCarsi That's not funny. I lost my Grandfather because of that.

  • @AGrace211 Ignore the trolls man...its all they want, is to piss you off.

  • @AGrace211 Man, I Feel Bad for you. Blame That Damn Bib Laden! Ps, WHERE WAS spidey when 9/11 happened?

  • How did they edit this part out of the movie in 2002?

  • @undisputed4life they didnt they re did it.

  • @LavaLoom How?

  • @undisputed4life lol they redid it a new story line and everything

  • @undisputed4life they just changed the script this trailer was like a year before the movie came out

  • Helicopter is an Aérospatiale AS355 Twin Squirrel. Kickass chopper.

  • I was working in a theater when this happened and I remember getting a call the next day tell us to take off this Trailer for all the movies that had it. I still kept myself a copy of one. To LavaLoom, if 9/11 didn't happen, movie's would've been alot different now, like the Ending to Men in Black 2, the ending was suppose to have the twin towers turn into spaceships and fly away in two different directions, That would've been cool to see.

  • @TheRoger1980 ya im sorry about that I meant to say different it just seems that spiderman 1 before 9.11 looked kind of corny.

  • On the outset...this is a pretty terrible trailer.

  • DAMN YOU GREEN GOBLIN!!!

  • This was a pretty bad trailer.

  • No offense but if 9/11 didn't happen Spider-man would be probably be a suckish movie come on look at it. That trailer had no action look at the Spider-Man 1 movie its really awesome I can already tell that this movie would SUCK. Spider-Man 1 with the green goblin = awesome and was the best movie actually.

  • @LavaLoom You are a brilliant writer.

  • @SgtTheFink Finally. The day I can sense sarcasm over text :)

  • Spider-Man 4: Spider-Man's Revenge on Osama

  • 1:25 Did anybody else notice that they used the theme of Scorpion V.S. Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation?

  • 23 people didn't go for the ultimate spin.

  • After 10 years, this STILL stands as one of the best trailers ever created. Those of us lucky enough to see it in the theatres remember the crowd going NUTS when we saw it. I don't even remember the movie I saw at the time (Pearl Harbor, maybe?), but I remember thsi was a stand-out moment from that evening! It was a HUGE mistake to ban it, and I'd be willing to buy a Blu-ray edition of SpidermanJUST for this trailer!

  • after 10 years now i think is time to get the spiderman director's cut version with World Trade Center in it

  • I saw this back on MTV special in June 2001...SO hype back then.... Ten Years WOW! and they already rebooting it like really.

  • couldnt the terrorists have waited until 2002?

  • I saw this trailer for the first time when I went to see Jurassic Park III :P

  • @MoonLightHowl1 Same here, everybody ape shit when they saw this. lol

  • DAMN¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

dis must be one of the best trailers in history of intelligent life¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • thumbs up if you got excited as hell when you first saw this trailer

  • did you know they're thinking of rebuilding it but having more than one

  • @Calgure when might that happen?

  • @roboguy75 Look this this video called: "Unveiling the future World Trade Center"

  • lol this is cooler than the actual movie itself xD The bankrobbery had a sort of Nolanesque feel to it. though bank robbers with copters and cellphones and huge guns fits great in a spidey movie... if they just have this sort of badassery, and include Spidey's wisecracking.... it'll be perfect. Ah well this is not the place to talk about that I guess xd

  • @leather666face well, both spider-man 1 and 2 were good, but I can understand with 3

  • Wow, awesome music. It's so 90's..

But I can see how this would be controversial, with the terrorists and all.

  • @MrCinemix well, it was awesome and it was a good trailer, til the terrorists came and they had to remove the trailer and the poster

  • It would be nice if some future release of the movie had this scene included in it.

  • This video sucks they don't even have the same people

  • the same guys that had this scene/trailer removed, are the same guys responsible for the 9/11 false flag attack. no, not bin laden.

come to my channel/favorites to learn more.

  • i think da movie would of been better wit wtc cuz who knew how da movie would of been. it would of been different and awesome

  • damn i loved this trailer

  • who new the world trade center could suspended bad guys.

  • i remember seein this at the movie i was like oh damn spiderman...then they took it off...why...they should have kept it n show the world we never goin to forget...

  • Rebuild the WTC as it was, but one inch taller. Who needs a "Freedom Tower" anyway?

  • @ElmoKajaky I don't think they should call it "Freedom Tower" Because people might Jump off the building and say FREEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!! SPLAT! Wha wha whaaaaaaa.

  • americunts should've called spider man, i bet he could have stopped those planes.

  • i was SOOOO LUCKY !! i got to see the twin towers nyc was beautiful perfect then...but when i was in 3rd grade i remember it crashing down...i was like i went there and my mom used to work near there...so so sad and + now a days it just makes it even more sadder=(

  • this is soo much more bad ass then the newer trailer.

  • Damn terrorist now i will never get the chance to see World Trade Center

  • @D77X Instead,you might see a brand new mosque in it's place.

  • @manzi71 why can´t terrorist fly into mosque

  • it was a tradjec event and i think plp would still be tramatized by it even now 10 years l8ter

  • That's some fucking terrible cgi

  • I saw this in the theater before it got pulled and it was the only trailer I've seen where everyone cheered in the theater when they showed spiderman.

  • @ PuppyPetite

Of course they shouldn't have pulled the trailer. They should have just kept it up to honor the WTC right? Basicly saying we could have stopped it from happening if there was a giant web up there. Lmao. Yeah right..

  • yo queria ver esa pelicula.....fuck

  • That is some shitastic editing/cgi.

  • this shit was so cool when i was 9 years old this shit was the dopest shit i ever see but 9 years later i realize this shit is lame as fuck

  • @YoungDeezy1080 i miss the WTC :( im mexican but the WTC was like the icon of new york it was like an amazing building .

  • Hey Spider Man, at September 2001. You should make spider webs to stick the airplanes....

  • @RomJonno15 oh i wish there really was a spiderman in real life that saved us from 9/11

  • A cena que eu mais queria ver no filme!!!

  • lol haha mortal combat song? nice...

  • i think in the uk they deleted it cause of 9 11 plane crash

  • thats two that they had to redo this

  • they had to photoshop the twin towers out of the scenes wouldn't it be better if those two buildings were still standing

  • wow I can't believe this trailer made the movie the most successful first weekend of all time

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that starts playing at 1:27?

  • The song is "Leave You Far Behind" by Lunatic Calm, you may remember it from 'The Matrix' soundtrack.

  • @loaveve: or Mortal Kombat Annihilation (if you ever watched it/heard the soundtrack)...tho THAT version was just the instrumental.

  • holy shit i remember when i first saw that

  • I think spiderman was involved in 911

  • Shame on YOU, anti-Semite.

How is it that Simpsons clips, along with anything else Fox doesn't like (even if they don't really own it), gets deleted in a matter of seconds, but garbage like 182port's comment seems impossible to get rid of? Do you have to sue YouTube/Google to get their attention?

  • easy answer, but you will call me a antisemite too.

  • Where was spider-man when WTC needed him? =/

  • I know this sounds cheesy, but sometimes I wish Spider-Man was real. He would of been able to save the WTC; at least, the second tower.

  • what about to all the people who died in helicopter crashes or during a bank robbery?? HUH!?!? HUHH!!?!?

  • They pulled the trailer, Out of respect for those who died on 911, The families etc. It was a brand new movie

and the producers felt it was in bad taste and didnt want the movie making

contoversy over a trailer, I felt they should have left it just the same, as a a way to honer the wtc, But I guess I was overruled on that one

  • I agree with you, d00d.

  • This trailer is godly. We need more trailers with original footage, and awesome original footage at that.

  • Man I've been looking for this for a while now. The footage was never used in the film, it was done merely for advertising purpose. The idea was nifty.

  • What movies was this shown in?

  • yeah thats realy cool

  • wow that was really lame. i wonder how it changed so much. it even seems like a completely different director did that.

  • Trailers ARE commercials you dumb f*ck

  • lol, I just like the song by Lunatic Calm. Good for montages.

  • damn that was tight

  • SPIDER-MAN DID WTC

  • @TehSamurai

Um so you're saying spider-man built the wtc. I'm confused.

  • Comment removed

  • @TehSamurai He did world trade center?

  • I can see why this trailer was pulled, and not because of the WTC. I don't think I've ever seen such a fake CG helicopter in my life. ¬_¬

  • It was created specifically for the trailer, you putz.

  • Right, so trailers are designed to be of sub-standard quality. Nice reasoning, dumbass.

  • What.

  • @Glitcher2000 The helicopter (an AS355 Twin Squirrel) is real, it's just that except for when it touches down on the roof, it isn't actually flying, it, and the robbers, are filmed against a green screen, which makes it look fakey.

  • i wish that they could rebuid the twin towers but unfortunetly they can't because it would remind he survivors and the families of the victims, and plus people wont want to work in the towers

  • o thought they were building the freedom tower

  • they are making a freedome tower, i dont know what teeborello is thinking.

  • "get your facts straight soccergirl3195" - damn, easy now. That was uncalled for.

  • guys we can't worry about rebuildin the wtc. what we have to worry about is prevent terrorists doin this again.

  • do you honestly believe the shit coming from your fingers?

  • your retarted

  • It's horribly ironic that the 9/11 attacks occured in the same year that this commercial came out.

  • Mybe they thought that having the World Trade center in Spiderman was a bad match

  • man, why did spiderman 3 have to suck so bad. I was so dissapointed. I remember seeing this when it came out and was super psyked and the first 2 movies ruled.

  • I remember seeing this in the theater! Ah, good times, back in the day.

  • Want to see something weird? You can see the WTC towers reflecting in Spidey's eyes on this trailer and in the actual movie, but in the Chad Kroger music video, the towers are deleted.

  • This is the best trailer of all times. The guy who made this is a genius... Best Sound FX, Best Cut, Best Sequence, I would like to see it all.

  • This trailer is brilliant...In fact - its a big shame the actual movie wasn't as stylistically thought out as this trailer promises the movie would be.. Its always a shame when a good director like Raimi is forced to compromise his art with the studio system... a situation that ruined the other 2 films as well.. never mind hey

  • amazing

  • 2001

  • I believe you are mistaken friend

  • whait how it happend on sept. 11 2001

  • Dude...fucking GTFO of America you fucking ignorant ass. People like you are why other countries hate America.

  • You morocan chinese douche

  • NOOB! I'm live in New York. I not see the event because I'm moving to New York in 2003. You retard! It's September 11, 2001. I see in the newspaper about remembering 9/11 event. And it's said "...September 11, 2001...". Stop talking shit, you retard! Reply for "WISDOMPRODUCTI0NS" is NOOB!

  • Best trailer for any movie of all time!!!

  • Wow is that queen latifah at :41? LOL that would have been FREAKIN HILARIOUS!

  • I hope one day they will bring the movie back on a DVD special edition with this trailer as extra material and this scene in the movie.

  • I agree. The World Trade Centre must not be erased from history. It was a stunning building and should not be just remembered for having planes crashing into it or collapsing.

  • @RebelVoDKa

    I completely agree!

  • i love this trailer!!!!

  • EVERYBODY STOP BITCHING!

  • I remember seeing this trailer when it first came out...

  • i'ts rediculus enough to edit this scene out of the movie. but it's even more rediculous not to have it as a bonus feature on the dvd. additionally it was not even mentioned in any featurette, commentary or otherwise referenced anywhere on the dvd nor on the spiderman 2 dvd. i thought that's where these "deleted scenes" belonged. this is rediculous. if the movie had opened just six months earlier they wouldn't have even considered removing it.

  • its a movie about a fkn spider, who cares! grow up.

  • it's a movie that could have been better if this scene was still in it. it's a dvd that would have been better if this extra was in it. that's all i'm saying!

  • its a movie for children about a man who can snag a helicopter with his web, they may ask where was spider on sept 11th to stop evil? See in real life, evil wins everytime, it would ruin the credibility of spider to have that scene, because wtf was he! thats right.

  • you talk about real life. well spiderman does not exist in real life. real life has made up the idea of spiderman for entertainment purposes. if a child asks where spiderman was we know what to say. spiderman is a made up character in a real city.

  • as for "credibility" their are plenty of other shows and movies that still show the world trade center towers in them. when one sees them they know that this was obviously shot before september 11, 2001. i don't know how hard this is to grasp that a person would know that.

  • I Agree. The should release the original movie of the the webslinging freak with the Towers. Am I right or am I right?

  • not to mention that you say "evil wins everytime." this is bogus. if it is true, than a movie scene is the least of our worries, because then we know that the terrorists will win and we need the idea of spiderman even more (including this scene). but since it is not true we still need this scene because it is a symbol-like spiderman- that evil will not win (whether that evil be back robbers or terrorists).

  • Quit fuckin moanin, you seen it now didnt ya?! so shut the fuck up about it!

  • i may have seen the TRAILER now but i may never see the scene in its entirety. everyone knows that trailers skip lines, actions, and sometimes even entire characters to keep the flow fast to fit in its 30 second to 2 minute time slot. anyway, these youtube comments are where one is supposed to vent these kinds of frustrations so back off and let me express my 1st ammendment rights!

  • yeah, shut your pretty lil hole already..its not like i really care, hell show him beating up bin laden for all i care, why must you be soooooooooooooo boring? pls dont answer.

  • tht looked gud!!! to bad they had 2 change it...

  • I actually saw this trailer before Jurasic Park 3.Less than 10 people in the audience.

  • I heard about this trailer.

  • That's eerie!

I remember hearing about that about a week or so after 9/11

Cool to actuality see the full clip.

  • Damn...thats a SWEET scene to have to edit out.

  • "Do you really think 9/11 widows and other various victims' families want to be reminded of the twin towers on screen (with a helicopter in between them, no less)? Come on, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out."

Yes... let's all just bury our heads in the sand, and pretend it never happened. No memorials, nothing. Good idea...

  • Yeah ok... So lets just edit the world trade center from every other movie made in history as well while were at it, oh brother.

  • I agree, the idea of editing the towers out is rediculous! And I expect families would notice it even more if they were edited out than if they were left in.

  • This sequence was only shot as a teaser, it was never intended to be in the final film apparently. I think its a great clip. The did cut the Towers from the film, but not all scenes, they do appear in the background a few times.

  • What is the name of the song playing?

  • It's from the Matrix soundtrack, "I Wanna Take you on a Rollercoaster". I believe...
