I can hear my guitar through the iphone, but the regular amp that comes with the free app has no effect on the sound of my guitar - adjusting knobs such as volume, gain, reverb, etc does NOTHING. Anybody else have this problem?
Is it possible for use with a midi guitar such as the rock band fender pro guitar (Wii version) and how do I set it up? if not possible, how do I set up the midi guitar to use on a laptop? I have been looking online for 3 days for an answer! If anyone has the answer, I'd be so freaking happy it's not funny ;-)
This is excellent, but not just compared to similar music-related how-tos. It's one of the best instructional videos on YouTube: clear, precise, concise.
Excellent vid. Any chance you could do one on how to lay down a couple of tracks in the recorder? I'm a noob and can't seem to find a tutorial on the basics. I imagine there are many of us out here. Thx
Thanks a lot guys, this is the first of about ten amplitude for iPad bids I've watched that actually concentrated a few features of the program and explored what it can do, rather than just setting it on full distortion and playing a Hendrix riff very, very badly.
@jameswood106 it can be used for whatever you want to plug into it, guitars, basses, keyboards. Any signal you want to process using Amplitube's effects.
@ThayerLazarou you can plug the output of the irig into an amp but the point about this is that it can emulate the amp using the technology, instead of using a real amp.
@minglemonkey the video is not about plugging it into an amp, it's about using the iRig and an iDevice to emulate and replace an amp. The iRig and iPad are acting as the amp in this case. If you want to plug this into an amp you would plug the output of your guitar into the iRig and the output of the iRig into the amplifier.
@Slam54102 you can run whatever audio input you like through it, it's an audio processor. It's designed for guitar but you could bass, synths, vocals, whatever you want through it.

@RafoRamone never heard of fake or chinese ipods but if they run iOS apps properly then yes, it should work.

@DubSpot where does the sound come from, the ipads speakers or can you put it through your amp?
camosnake31 9 months ago
@camosnake31 speakers, and i guess amp, but that might ruin the reason for the app, buy big musical headphones, maybe 50 or so for good ones

@SkateShoeReviewer yes, it works directly with your ipod.
DubSpot 1 year ago
@DubSpot crap sorry i meant can u plug your guitar plug into your ipod?
SkateShoeReviewer 1 year ago
@SkateShoeReviewer No, you need to use the iRig which is a third party interface that connects an audio input to your ipod/iphone/ipad.

@farhan3k you'll need to check the manufacturer's site, although I haven't heard anything about needing a new generation device.

Does the volume go through iPad or amp
Legend1885 1 year ago
@Legend1885 it goes through the irig, there is no amp in this case or the ipad (and iRig) are serving as the virtual 'amp'
DubSpot 1 year ago
@Legend1885 if you connect your amp to it yes the volume is through the amp
