I've noticed that the cheaper models have steel handles rather than nylon ones. The last thing you would want is for thoes fuckers to snap while doing a contraction. lol....

Sorry, Weider stuff is not designed to hold up for the long term. I have a Total Gym and can tell you after thousands of usages, this thing still rocks and it's 5 years old! And the WII Fit? What a joke. Stick with what works!!! Tone down? Can't do it with aerobics - gotta do the resistance.

Try the Total Trainer range of these exercise machines.

Even the cheapest one looks better made and better value for money than the over priced budget Total Gyms.

I'd say the wii fit is a fun way of getting moderately fit and toned.

The total trainer is a more serious piece of workout kit.

PS. Don't let unattended kids use total trainer (could be dangerous).

I think that probably the Total Gym would be better than the WiiFit. You have to compare the total costs versus the total benefits. While the WiiFit is more for those under 330 pounds, the TotalGym will probably be better. Does the WiiFit offer a nutritional guide like the TotalGym, and does it specifically target the problem areas?

i just bought the pilates power gym.....in your opion, is the chuck noris gym a bit or a lot better?

the chuck norris gym is a little bit better. you can do multiple things on it like weight lifting and pilates. the pilates power gym doesnt really include muscle building activities.

how many reps should you do pers excercise? if lets say the resistence was 70% at its hardest?

I got my total gym for $100 brand new in australia! total gym builds muscles and tones and makes oyu look beast! the wii is just a silly game for idiots!

I have both.

In wii fit can easily exercise my 4 year old daughter, me or even my grandma with a lot of fan.

In TG you can do more serious practice.

Both are nice and with their strong points.

I you haven't try don't judge.

Well with the price of things now adays people would rather pay 100 than 1600 for the total gym. I still use it but not as much as the wii.

or you could get Weider Total Body Works 5000 for like $100-150 which is equal too or even better than the total gym. its the same thing too...

weider makes some good stuff. since the total gym is only metal and pulleys I would say weider could make it better and in my past using weider I found they really have some good remakes out there.

Nowhere near as well made or as good quality as the Norris total gym. After 1 year the Total Body Works 5000 will break, the Norris gym will last a lifetime. your only going to be working out for a short time? Total Body Works 5000 no question but fore extended use and longer lifetime, the Norris gym wins out no question.

total gym all the way, maybe its just me, but id rather not pay 100$ and buy a wii to go jogging, good luck on the toning....and GO CHUCK NORRIS
