Yeah, I, along with many Mav fans, are hoping and expecting a very busy summer for the mavs, trade-wise and free-agent wise. I think where the Mavs lost this was the uselessness of Terry (all he did was get a good cardio workout) and the ankles of JHo. I have never really thought of Melo as that good of a player, but this series definitely changed my mind. I thought what won it for the Nuggs was the explosiveness of Melo offensively. I don't normally complain about refs. I believe that almost all the time that things even out over the game (or the series).
My only gripes with refs are for fairness and consistancy.
I want my officials to be fair and call things equally for both sides. And I also want them to be consistant on how they call the game. If you're gonna call a tight game then do it for the entire game. If they say no blood, no foul then do it for the entire game.
The refs have totally ruined the NBA for me. No other sport gives the officials so much control. There REALLY needs to be an entire revamping of the rules.
I wanna know why David Stern felt the NBA needed to be improved over it's mid 80's-mid 90's heyday. Back then you had to damn near break someone's arm to get a foul called while the scoring was in the 100s instead of the high 80s...and the 3 point line was further out back then too.

Yeah, this looks to be a great rivalry. I think the Mavs are like the Suns, loaded with talent but they won't surprise anyone vs. a superior team.
dirk needs some support. they can't just expect him to score 40 every night. it also seemed that during the series, at least one star player fell off each night for the Mavs, while the Nuggets were clicking on all cylinders.
I think the teams are actually pretty even, but the leadership of Billups put the nuggets over the top.

Yeah, I, along with many Mav fans, are hoping and expecting a very busy summer for the mavs, trade-wise and free-agent wise. I think where the Mavs lost this was the uselessness of Terry (all he did was get a good cardio workout) and the ankles of JHo. I have never really thought of Melo as that good of a player, but this series definitely changed my mind. I thought what won it for the Nuggs was the explosiveness of Melo offensively. You're a smart dude, a respectable Nuggs fan lol

I dont think overrated, but he is inconsistent. I'm not yet sold on Smith, just cuz I think (and Nugg fans i know) think he takes a lot of dumb shots. Kidd, most likely, will come back, so that covers starting pg. We're mainly shopping for a new Center (a lot of us Mav fans can't stand Damp), as well as new SG. Some names for Center include Shaq and Kaman. For Sg it's a lot, some are Artest, Stephen Jackson, Richard Jefferson. Busy Summer or Bust!

I don't normally complain about refs. I believe that almost all the time that things even out over the game (or the series).
My only gripes with refs are for fairness and consistancy.
I want my officials to be fair and call things equally for both sides. And I also want them to be consistant on how they call the game. If you're gonna call a tight game then do it for the entire game. If they say no blood, no foul then do it for the entire game.
That's why I didn't like that non-foul.

The refs have totally ruined the NBA for me. No other sport gives the officials so much control. There REALLY needs to be an entire revamping of the rules.
I wanna know why David Stern felt the NBA needed to be improved over it's mid 80's-mid 90's heyday. Back then you had to damn near break someone's arm to get a foul called while the scoring was in the 100s instead of the high 80s...and the 3 point line was further out back then too.

I'm not saying the league is rigged, but there's no doubt in my mind the league sends particular refs with particular tendencies to particular games to try and have a hand in the outcome.
I'm just kinda frustrated that Stern didn't crack down on the officiating in this league bigtime after the Donaghy scandal.
