Just discovering the black crowes for the 1st time and cannot stop watching this performance! Rock n roll with a bit of soul! What a voice, loving it! Looking forward to hearing more of their tracks! If anyone could recommend that would b great! Thank u!
man this whole cd shake your money maker got me thru hard times growin up the cd was 10 years old by then but i found it in my fathers cd and it's been mine ever since i've seen them about 13 times since i was 12 it blows my mins people my age don't even know who they are not even hard to handle and i live in ri and that song is on the radio alot
Where Jeff Cease He was you best guitares for Black Crowes ever had. Now. The Black crowes just suck ass like Fags. Jeff help you sound and look good. Bring Jeff Cease back! I have talk to most people and they all say youu were better with Jeff Ceace...
best line up of"Crowes there was.I aint queer but i sure love them Robinson boys!! "I got a head full of sermons and a mouth full of spiders" Chris, that says it all!
@blackcrowe4 Where Jeff Cease He was you best guitares for Black Crowes ever had. Now. The Black crowes just suck ass like Fags. Jeff help you sound and look good. Bring Jeff Cease back!
@suzukidas2 Jeff surely wasn't the best guitarist the Crowes Had. Sorry, but the Band played on, and very well without Jeff. Marc blew him away and Rich alone is better than Jeff. Not to mention Audley and Luther. Sorry.
i never saw this before...20 yrs. already? I remember seeing them in late Aug. '90 at a small club in Minneapolis called the Mirage....they blew me away. I was 19....I can still remember they opened with thick n thin and Chris came out with a tophat and did the roll it down your arm trick and pop on top of the head......johnny C. had blue cowboy boots...been a fan since.....seen them many times....

the black crowes sound has expanded. they had huge hits with their first 2 albums but their music has evolved to a wider sound. that's one of the best things about them and they completly dismissed MTV so they didn't get much play. their not a band that cares about their hits, their worried about making good albums and that's why their great.
Not sure who's dismissing who. They weren't too angry with the massive MTV play of Sometimes Salvation, Remedy, Talks to Angels, Hard to Handle, Blackberry..and so on. I think their mind set changed after the "hits" stopped coming. Probably a combination of MTV and Crowes mutually not interested in doing business. Great band.
if you watch old interviews they always talked down on mtv. sometimes salvation and blackberry never got much air play. when the crowes started to do their own thing mtv let them go.
Whatever happpend to these guys? This was really kick ass. The shit that came after was good but not as good and Chris R. just got totally weird. Why is it if you're good you think acting like a complete dipshit and getting married to an actress will make people like you more. Hey bro we liked you better when you were poor and unknown.

They wrote a heap of shit songs and everyone forgot about them, i went to see them recently and every song was boring, nothing like the early stuff, which is what everyone loved, they sang like 3 of their old songs, i felt like id been ripped off. I was one of their biggest fans too.
thats weird because I am a big fan of theirs and the "shake your money maker" album is probably my least favorite. but i am more about the music. i can tell you aren't by the way you said "they sang like 3 of their old songs". you can say that about a brittany spears show but you can't say that about a southern rock/ jamband.
I love the BC's, but like i said they let me down with their last tour, infact i waited about 15 years for them to come back...they sang Hard to Handle, Angles, and Remedy....cool songs but i can tell you they would have got a better reaction from the crowd if they mixed the set up with more of their old stuff. I know the tour was a promo for the new album, but we are the punters spending our hard earned money...they should accommodate us a little better.
Pra eles.
don't you think I want to don't you think I could don't you think I'd tell you baby if I only could am I actin' crazy am I just too proud am I just plain lazy. I've asked myself that question a million times about a girl I like
Awesome performance by the Crowes, hands down. I saw them at the Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, OK on 7/23/08, 18 YEARS LATER, and they were still mind blowing, Rich is absolutely amazing, one of my favorite guitarists to ever walk the planet. By the way, does anyone know if he uses brass or copper slides?
Yeah, i don't get the stones, i think the heroin from their breath somehow has leaked into their listeners veins forcing them to somehow think a "pop" band rocks, pop rocks are delicious, however.....i digress
I REMEMBER watching this on MTV!!!!! This was when MTV started doing more and more acoustic "Unplugged" stuff. Chris & The Crowes were so great before Kate "Yoko Ono" Hudson got to them. Still the best band, hands down, since the Stones. Yeah, I said it....what?
wow... johnny colt on bass. i forgot about him, he was a real cool guy and fit in really well with this early image of the crowes. i saw them on this tour (i know, im an old git), and they were amazing. then i saw them on the last tour, and they were still just simply 1 of the best live bands i have ever seen; full of energy and raw power onstage and chris has so much cool he blisters
anytime they do an acoustic version i always think it sounds so much better don't get me wrong ANYTHING the black crowes touch turns to gold just something special about they're acoustic versions

Only a few bands, Crowes at the top, can crack the term "Revivalist" because they truly embodied the works of their predecessors
