  • the man who suggested the cruxifiction of atheists is the single most ironic person in the world.

Jesus: I belive in Yaweh and am his son and messanger.

Rome: we do not and we view this as heresy. We will torture and kill you for this because our religion was offended.

Atheists: We think placing a cross at a government sponsered event violates the serperation of church and state.

Christian man: you offenned my religion. Crucify him.

  • what i heard is the wanted to replace the cross, with a symbol for everyone including christians

  • Well, that's typical inbred Americans for ya. For a religion (Christianity) who advocates love for all, even for their enemies, they're not living according to their religion. If this theoretical "skydaddy" DOES exist and Atheists ARE damned, wouldn't these "bible-thumpers" BE in hell with us? :)

As I keep saying, Christianity ("heathens" go to hell) is no better than Islam (kill "infidels") and Judaism (enslave the "goyims"). They need to go back to the separation of church and state.

  • Chrisitans are the biggest hypocrites EVER!

  • @falleinloveshoes7 *christians

  • I find it offensive to place a religious symbol at the memorial of people who would not need a memorial if it were not for religion.

  • The hatred is absolutely blinding. Simply saying the word "atheist" is enough to get some religious folks into a death and hellfire tirade. I mean, they just see red. How are any of those comments appropriate responses to that man's objections? And yet Christians still insist upon holding onto the idea that they're the persecuted ones.

  • All buildings of steel girder construction have crosses all over the place. The girders have intersections therefore crosses. It would really be significant if the found the girders twisted into the star of David but a cross? c'mon. Use a bit of common sense.

  • Atheists are Wrong and Evil? Atheism is a Demonic Disease? All non-Believers will burn in the Eternal Flames of Hell for all Eternity? I understand peoples rights to their beliefs, but being a non-christian, even I can see that there is something wrong with those statements. Some people have distorted the sacred teachings to suit their needs and justify it as being the Word of God. What happened to "Do unto others what you would have done unto yourself? Love thy Neighbour?" Its a sad world.

  • If Christians worship an all-loving God of mercy who instructed them to love their neighbors and to turn the other cheek when attacked, then the people who left these hate-filled, murderous messages, who spew hate in God's name, cannot be good Christians. Which means they'll probably end up going to HELL.

  • Taking away your rights? What rights are we taking away? You Christians try to take away my right to abort,my right to marry who I love,my right to freely express my religion. And you're the oppressed ones? You rule our government, make up half our population and more than half of our prisons. You pitch a fit when a teacher tries to teach the historical side of other religions but when we try to stop you from forcing a religion down our child's throat you cry that we're oppressing you.

  • Both of these people are wrong the atheist is just being an asshole trying to take down the cross and the Christians that posted those comments have no business calling themselves christian.

  • Why do you athiests even give a shit about a piece of metal? If it has helped alot of people and given them some hope and inspiration, why do you want to take it away?

  • @DP3mo24hofosho what about the victims who were not Christian?

  • @theUKatheist It was a piece of rubble from the WTC. Victoms who were not Christian don't see a cross, they see a piece of metal.

  • @DP3mo24hofosho so there would be no problem removing it then. if it was a symbol of any other religion there would not be this fuss, it would just be removed. also you do understand that it violates the law. separation of church and state, if Christians say its a cross then that's what it represents to them and it is in violation of the law.

  • @theUKatheist No, you got it wrong. First of all, the constitution never says "seperation of church and state," something you guys seem to forget. Second of all, The first amendment says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." That means there can not be taxpayer dollars used to uphold a religion and you can't make laws prohibiting people from expressing thier beliefs. This cross was not funded by congress, or endorsed.

  • @DP3mo24hofosho it states that no religion will be seen as better than any other or better than no religion, meaning equality, how is a big cross representing Christianity for the victims of people who may not be Christian being equal?

  • @theUKatheist Christianity loves everyone, even non-believers. That cross brought some peace of heart to people who were hurting, and that cross accepts and loves everyone. Besides, don't we have bigger problems as a nation instead of taking something away that has helped people?

  • @DP3mo24hofosho "Christianity loves everyone, even non-believers"

are you having a laugh? do you know the abuse that atheists get? did you even hear about the abuse the atheist got just for suggesting this be taken away? you are deluded if you think christianity brings love to everyone.

    /watch?v=bjmLnC3T9Ds

watch that. its about this cross and what Christians were posting on fox news facebook.

saying it brings peace to people is true but not everyone, why exclude the non Christians???

  • @theUKatheist The christians who are mean and rude to athiests like you are not real christians, for they forgot "love your neighbor" and God loves all of his children. Please forgive them, and let me apoligize on thier behalf. I have never said those nasty comments to athiests like yourself, I try to always be respectful during debates like this. I can understand why you have such negative feelings toward christians because you have probally been called those nasty names I'm guessing.

  • @DP3mo24hofosho

"The christians who are mean and rude to athiests like you are not real christians"

what are they then? pretend ones? they are christian if the believe in jesus and the bible, theres no such thing as a fake christian.

" they forgot "love your neighbor" and God loves all of his children"

    okay so

1 - why dont they do everything else the bible says like murder children for misbehaving?

2 - if god loves all his children why does he send people to hell for simply not believing?

  • @theUKatheist They are not real christians because they turn thier backs on what Jesus taught. God put us here on earth and gave us free will. He gave us the ability to either choose his word or not too. He loves you because he gave you the ability to live a life however you pleased. But if you don't follow his word, you pay the consequence.

  • @DP3mo24hofosho Hey man, thats your faith and i respect that. But you aren't going to get much sympathy by saying stuff like that. i'm an atheist, but i dont think any one will suffer, whether they were good or bad after death. Why follow that code that is ok with such a horrible idea? its repulsive to the rest of us.

  • @TheHobbsicle Okay, thats chill

  • @DP3mo24hofosho

"The christians who are mean and rude to athiests like you are not real christians..."

This is called the "No True Scotsman" fallacy...

I highly suggest you look it up.

  • Wow! Atheists receive a lot of hate from the Christians! o_O

  • These statements of hatred and violence should only make atheists more thankful that they didn't throw in with a bunch immoral thugs. What you're witnessing here folks is Christian morality at work. According to their own book, they are supposed to stone non-believers, so I guess when should count ourselves lucky that nobody was actually hurt. But I'm sure that they would hurt us if our secular legal system wasn't protecting us from them.

  • and they say all Muslims are terrorists, clearly, from this video, that honor belongs to Christians who are the "do what I say or I'll kill you" type of person. If you have a cross on your lawn, I don't care, it's your property, once people want it put up on a national memorial site, then that's when I start to have issues, because putting a cross up on a national site is respecting an establishment of religion, it's these people who posted those distasteful comments that should be raped.

  • Yea.. I wish someone would make a video showing what would happen if all the Athiests left the United States... Oh Wait... THEY DID!!!

    Youtube Video : mbef07aQtB8

  • What a lovely bunch, those Christians! Full of hate towards anyone who disagrees with their views of the world. If only we all followed them, they could lead us straight back to the dark ages!

  • Did no one bother to mention that that supposed cross was NOT formed naturally? It was deliberately cut into the shape of the cross by workers. Notice the edges of the cross show deliberate cutting instead of natural fractures. This fucking cross is a bad hoax, it's public knowledge that it was deliberately made by workers.

  • What is the Christian obsession with killing and inflicting pain just because someone disagrees?

  • @systematic101 They have always been that way, it is the true nature of their religion.

  • @ventura433 now i wouldn't say that exactly. i guess im just one of the few Christians that doesn't make threats towards anyone who doesn't believe what i believe. and as for the "always" part, the only big role Christianity played that i can think of is the crusades, and Christianity was just an excuse to get those started.

  • @TheSwordsEcho Must I remind you about the Inquisitions and the systematic power of the cotholic church that had influenced the world with it's made up miracles in order to santify patrons and in the US the religious right who want to see power in order to control our schools? If you are gonna apologize for your religion, well you are putting too much weight on your back.

  • @ventura433 Corrections: "Catholic" "seek"

  • @systematic101 dont know really. i am a christian myself but this is too far. the only reason christians like me get a bad name is because of these christians that feel they have to threaten people all the time. it sickens me.

  • Iesu Christus, Dominus Mundus! Arghh. The pain. Oh the pain. On behalf of the Less insane members of my faith I apologise for the total blithering idiotic lunacy of those posters @ the fox news website. And anyone who agrees with those posters, I suggest you get together w/ a Pastor and a therapist ASAP.

  • thank god (pun intended) non believers and freethinkers exist.

if all the population were religious, we would still be living in the dark ages.

  • Boy Christians are a loving bunch...

  • I didn't see no Jesus on that cross

  • you would think that Christians are supposed caring and loving people, but the opposite is true. Since when have atheists ever given a dam about what religious zealots think, after all, they are sad little people waiting to die right? So why would religion be a threat?

  • Deut 21: 18-21.... Someone please explain. How am I supposed to interpret? I'm an Atheist. I love people and animals. As a paramedic ive dedicated my life to the service of others. Missed out on a lot of family stuff. Helped many, comforted many, held many hands of the dying and cried with the family of a dying child. I'm going to burn in Hell? I'm not saved? My eyes are open and I don't hate others over a symbol.

  • The Bible says- if a woman is raped, her rapist must marry her if she is a virgin or if not then he must pay her father 50 silver pieces. How else does one interpret this. Religion has nada to do with self. Give and do for God, period!

  • @smiley typical of what is expected of a Christian. Love thy neighbor? Tolerance? I doubt that you read the Bible. What's with hurling insults? Is that what your Christ teaches? If an Atheist disagrees with you, why do you get so defensive and angry? Well, if you are so against science, don't drive a car, use a computer, use a cell phone, fly in a plane and don't by any means go to a doctor when you are sick.

  • @paramattic70 you obviously don't know what the fuck is going on here. I'm a big proponent of science and religion because contrary to popular belief they can work together. I was the one being insulted in the first place. I did not start this, religion has everything to do with ones self. Learn to read.

  • Death threats? What would Jesus do? Probably not wish that people should be raped..

  • Who is this woman? I love this woman. Damn, if only I was older and had the chance to meet her in a non-creepy fashion. Alas, it was not to be.

  • if the christians don't stop and shut up i will torture them by giving them brains to think.they hate thinking.

  • see, Christians don't give a damn about other people. they don't care if people who died in 9/11 weren't Christians, they just assume they all were.

  • Also, Christ at the time didn't know he was dying for anyone's so-called "sins"; all he knew was that Rome reluctantly executed him after a crowd voted to pardon a murderer in favor of Jesus for a Passover ritual. That's right, Israel was allowed to keep its religious structure and customs even while under Roman rule, and the Pagan Emperor Julian much later on worked on restoring the Jewish Temple.

  • Hung? I think he meant, "hanged".

  • This video clenches it. There are tons of backwards, hateful, under-educated, superstitious people out there, and Fox News plays to them. They're the reason Fox News was even founded...millions of people were essentially disinfranchised by the mainstream media, so Murdoch created an outlet to capitalize on the ignorant. If a rational person watches Fox News, they think, "How the hell can anyone tolerate this." Then they see the kind of people who DO tolerate it, and think, "Oooohhhh."

  • @Voidlam

I was thinking the same thing

  • I want to show this video to a friend, do anyone knows if someone have this video sub. In Spanish.

  • How is that a cross? That's 2 steel girders, right?

    I just.. wtf?

  • @voidlam They were actually designed that way during the initial stages of the buildings development for structural support. This doesn't even fit in with the old "Jesus in the Grilled Cheese" ploy. This is just Christians being ridiculous.

  • Atheist people are dead wrong and really ignorant learn that there is a god or go to hell.

  • Christians can jam a fuckin bible up their ass, rip it out, and suck the shit off of their fuckin "book"!

  • i like eggs.

  • Lol? What are you a preteen girl? I'm not going to pretend like I have a degree, did I ever say I had a great understanding? We have 10 dimensions stacked on us. Yea the wave function is self-collapsing. We know this because we no it is observed from an outside source. watch?v=Kj8UdHuP5l8&feature=related

  • @smiley042894 We have 10 dimensions stacked on us..... Why are you still talking about dimensions when you admitted to knowing nothing about the concept? And if you're looking for where you admitted it >> it's everywhere where to talk about dimensions.

  • They would have showed me "look, that pieces of metal look like a cross" I would have replied, "yes! those other look a fork, and look, those others like a letter E"

  • ATHEISTS, instead of wasting you're time calling Christians stupid maybe instead look at how god and science could coexist. Not actually asking you to believe it, just asking you to think. First watch this, watch?v=uY_ZgAvXsuw THEN WATCH watch?v=Fgt40l8cZc4&feature=related NOT LOOKING TO MAKE ENEMIES! Just asking you to dig a little find a way to possibly find a truth. We should all really stop with this hate, Christians and atheists alike

  • @smiley042894 Science and the bible can't co-exist, you retard. Science deals with the REAL. god and the bible do not.

  • @aqouby Hey dumb ass, watch the videos before you so anything! It's scientifically how God could exist. Meaning, wait for it..... it deals with god and science coexisting!!!!, Shocking isn't it? Next time don't be ignorant and watch the videos before you make a fool of yourself.

  • @smiley042894 Listen buddy, I study mathematics and theoretics and I understand dimensional geometry and this video isn't a good analogy of it. The 4th dimension isn't time and--I'll jump off and go to the main bit-- This video doesn't prove god in the least. This person in the video understands the bare minimum for dimensional analysis and you sir, have none. How about you tell me how god can exist, now that you found out that there are new magical dimensions. What proof do you have? god's fake

  • @aqouby What proof do you have god isn't real? A being in the 10th dimension as opposed to us being real in the third dimension. Uh yea the fourth dimension is time? The first 3 dimensions are, well think of it as an xyz coordinate plain. The fact that we cant be in the same place in that plain as we were as a second ago. That's an example of the 4th dimension, if you don't understand that, I believe that dimensional geometry are B.S. yea you have to dig a bit to find the OR wave function is

  • @smiley042894 That's the most moronic thing I've ever heard. Well not ever, but in the field of mathematics and physics-- yeah, you take the cake for idiocy.

  • @aqouby I suppose you think you intelligent? I could go into it but I have a life. Also I'm still in highschool and I can understand the fact we are living in the 10 dimensions better than you, we cant really study time we just know of it's presence, you take the cake for moronic pompous ass hole.

  • @smiley042894 U Mad Buddy? Way to fail-- how about next time instead of trying to argue for some crazy concept that you don't even know the basis of, try learning something and going from there. You do not know anything about this subject and you got called out on it. So, you FAIL. Peace bitch

  • @aqouby I think you're a teenager, haha I fail, you don't raise any counterpoints to my arguments, you dont make it clear what you think is. I know about the dimensions, watch the 10 dimensions explained video moron we are living in the thrid dimension with the other 7 omnipresent around us. That is the concept of stacked dimensions, let me know if I'm going to fast, you have a hard time keeping up, I didn't want to post this and make enemies, but you're an elitest that thinks he's better than

  • @smiley042894 That video is for laymen who want to understand dimensions better. I see that you've seen the video but you obviously took it completely seriously.

  • @aqouby everyone else so you would continue the you life being a dick and trying to pick fights without knowing how to fight. I don't hate atheist I hate atheists that think they have it figured out. You really don't yea it's only a theory but the it's not disproved. So maybe you should think about the fact that you can't possibly know because the area in which we are discussing is theoretical physics. Not proven nor disproven, I bet your whole life and future is a fail Peace Bitch. btw not mad

  • @smiley042894 You can't come up with any evidence of something if it never existed. Yeah, god can't be disproven but he can't ever be proven unless the laws of our Universe are broken and all of a sudden that allows science's method to go right out the door. We use this method to describe reality and when people try to drop in their imagination when it's not necessary, then crazy analogies are made and we come up with a "soul." People are mystified of death and life because we just can't know.

  • @aqouby Oh my god dude, search the 10 dimensions explained, it goes through all of that, and please pay attention you may not be able to keep up.

  • @smiley042894 Please, I doubt you are even passing grade 10 math.

  • @aqouby Not necessarily true, might be highly unlikely but it could happen, which can be said about most anything, go watch the 10 dimensions explained and you may get what I have been saying about dimensions all this time. 3 being where we are 4 being time 5 being the outcomes of time 6 being the time for a universe and the out comes of that universe ect.....

  • @smiley042894 I'm not saying that multiple dimensions aren't real, I'm insisting that we need them for the standard model of the Universe to work. I'm just saying that you shouldn't talk about it because you don't know shit about it. It's more then just lines on a graph with dimensions.

  • @aqouby No shit it's more complex then lines on a graph, you think you know what I'm thinking, again thinking that you yourself are and elitest or untouchable, I've said before i wasn't sure if I believed it, just the complexities of a dimension above us would be incredibly difficult to grasp, but seeing what I've seen I bet you think you can understand it. I was skepticle to just like you, I was just trying to show that there could possibly be a way for science and religion to coexist!

  • @smiley042894 Well I was just telling you that they cannot.

  • @aqouby but just because you don't believe it to be true you persecute, that is exactly what is wrong with atheists, and you specifically. So maybe you should just let people believe what they want don;t talk down about them to there face or behind their backs and only bring up you're opinion on religion when it is asked of you.

  • @smiley042894 How about no. Religion is a choke chain for young minds who don't know the very complex subjects that can answer some of life's major questions, like the origins of life. It needs to be snubbed out and science needs to come first. Logic needs to come first.

  • @aqouby That's completely intolerant, this is what i mean by being a disrespectful ass, you're not even a clever one, that comment on me not passing 10th grade math? What are you four? Was that supposed to hurt or bring me into a sudden realization of truth? you don't know everything kid, quit acting like you do. People tha believe in religion can be perfectly logical. You sir or madam take the cake for idiocy.

  • @smiley042894 The comment of you being mathematically illiterate was to make you realize that, in fact, you are. I'm merely defending science and all that it inclines. You go saying that religious people are logical.. Well they are for the most part.. But when you get into the issue of evidence and other things that demand a lot of studying and letting go of prior beliefs-- Religious people don't do that. They assert that there is a supernatural force in this world. I want proof of their claim.

  • @aqouby Honestly this can be argued either way, no evidence exists on either side, only opinion and skepticism. Quite frankly I don't believe you when you say you are intelligent, you have offered no evidence that supports that. Faith is believing without seeing, this is the principle of religion, and if you don't know that, then you can't be helped. I'm not insulting you cause it's a waste of time, and accomplishes nothing, you should really follow in these footsteps.

  • @smiley042894 What am I trying to prove? That science is the only means of learning truth in this world? Yeah, I'm trying to teach that-- And exactly because I'm supporting science (and not an unjustifiable, unexplainable cult) is why I'm not going to stop posting on videos that demand people to be ignorant to believe it. You don't have a cause so maybe that's why you're giving up so easily, but I strive to make people see the truth. The bible is a bigger virus then AIDs.

  • @aqouby The eradication of religion will solve nothing, do you watch south park? i think that they had a brilliant take on a world ruled by atheists.

  • @smiley042894 It'll progress intelligence faster. All you people are delusional and too afraid to admit that you could be entirely wrong. Enjoy having a sheet over your head for the rest f your lives.

  • @aqouby Listen to what you are saying, you say a religion that was developed in the pursuit of good and all things good including acceptance of other is a virus, are you mental, you really are beyond help. Just because you disagree with others beliefs doesn't make those people part of a virus meant to destroy logic, you really need help. Like I'm serious, you just thought up that crazy conspiracy? The bible a bigger virus than AIDS? do you know how many lives have been saved by the bible?

  • @smiley042894 None. Saved from what? To what end? They accept a fake god and feel like they can give up their grief because an invisible father in the sky says you're loved... It's neglecting reality and that leads to ignorance and stupidity. You're defending a racist, sexist, homophobic, cultist book. How about you read that book and see what I mean.

  • @aqouby Really? Because Judaism actually have very good educated schools, or maybe the fact that I'm Christian and I'm not homophobic at all. Maybe you should read the bible, it teaches love and respect no matter what, you only see the heavy christian stereotype, if that is the limit of your view it's truly sad. I'll pray for you.

  • @smiley042894 LOL! I should read the bible? The bible teaches love and respect? It teaches how to obey and murder for something you can't ever see. I feel sorry for you.

  • @aqouby Again are you 14? lol? seriously? Do you know how much good has been inspired by the bible, yea there has been people that took it too far and killed in the name of god but not because he told them to do so. You really are mad aren't you?

  • @smiley042894 Tell me of one amazing story inspired directly by the bible.

  • @aqouby How about the missions that go to third world countries, or the peace core, you know the people that volunteer for those things? Christians, wishing to make a better way for their soul. There isn't one story there are thousands. You just to blind and ignorant to see it.

  • @smiley042894 Good people go over to help the less fortunate. Christians go to convert others to their ways.

  • @aqouby Really? You can definitively say that for every single christian that has done that? Cause I know a couple who did. The village they went to was already christian, they didn't have to be converted yet they went and helped out anyway. Because the bible inspired them to.

  • @smiley042894 Maybe their upbringing or their congregation made them want to help out-- but not the bible. If you pick out one or 2 verses in the new testament of the bible then maybe, but the bible teaches to convert and kill the heretics. Read the bible and I mean the whole bible.

  • @aqouby Have you even read the bible? It's one of the most subjective books in the world which is a big part of why it's successful. I guess if you're interpretation of the bible is that everything in it is about killing and basically genocide then that's your problem.

  • @smiley042894 When most of it consists of genocide and virgin rape then I will say that it's an evil book. Stop picking out the 2 or 4 stories of good will toward man, and look at it in whole.

  • @aqouby You have obviously never read the bible. How can you claim to be logical when you haven't even read the very thing you preach against? You don't even understand your opposition. Failure.

  • @smiley042894 Do you want me to give you the list of all the people god ordered to be murdered? All of the virgins that were raped because of his will? You fucking retard, how can you claim that I haven't read the bible when you haven't read it? Want me to give you the parts where god endorses slavery? Killing homosexuals? Killing children? Go ahead.

  • @aqouby Yea, you just proved my point, clearly you have never read it. Don't claim that you have, you know you have not. You are truly pathetic, yes there's a degree of controversy, but the vast majority, just plain good will. If you deny that, you're an idiot, plain and simple. You keep trying to pick a fight but you're really not worth it. I don't care if you believe in god or not, but the vast majority of the bible inspires good. Again, Failure.

  • @smiley042894 Any good that the bible tries to inspire can all be attained through secular means. What does that say about your bible inspiring morality? You think christianity helps people, like going to 3rd world countries and feeding the helpless... Well sure, but again, that can be and is done by people who don't also shove their beliefs down the starving peoples' throats. God of the bible is an asshole. If he did exist then I'd ask why he makes us rely on faith other than reason for belief.

  • @aqouby Yea, read the bible, like now. You're a complete idiot bashing something you don't even understand. I don't care if you don't believe in it at the end but then at least you'll get why you sound like an idiot. i don't know anyone who has shoved anything down my throat. Sept for atheists really. You shove atheism down people's throats, so, why are you being a hypocrite? Also, people in third world countries, maybe you should go to one before you think you know how it's.

  • @smiley042894 "before you think you know how it's"? Well it doesn't take a genus to know that people have it worse off in third world countries. Atheists can't shove anything down your throat, we say "We don't believe your god exists because there's no proof that this thing ever has existed." We're not saying, "If you don't believe in what we believe, after you die you're going to be tortured forever without it ever stopping." << That is what christians say.

  • @aqouby I am christian and am I saying you will burn in hell? You're believing in the over zealous christian stereotype. No you call Christians stupid for believing what they believe in. That's cramming your belief down another throat, yes Christians spread the word of god but they don't force it. It seems that if you meet a person that happens to be a genius and they believe in god they are considered stupid in your mind. That is just wrong. Maybe you should embrace a little acceptance.

  • @smiley042894 No, calling a person stupid for believing in something of which there is no evidence for is not shoving My beliefs down your throat. It's my own personal opinion that faith and religion in itself does not accomplish anything. And any real christian who follows the bible word for word would believe I'm going to burn in hell. So you are not a true christian.

I accept that people still have faith in unjustified things, I can't help that--But you can't just tell people that it's fact.

  • @aqouby You jsut compared the bible to AIDS you said it was a virus that should be eradicated. Yea I believe that is shoving your belief down someones throat. You're telling people that there is no God and basically claiming it to be fact, and that anyone who doesn't believe in that is stupid. You're really contradictory, you can't argue worth two shits.

  • @smiley042894 I'm denying your god and saying that there's no proof of it's existence. I'm telling everyone that if you believe in god, then you have just as much justification for it as believing in chi, ghosts, or something else that hasn't had any scientific confirmation. I am claiming that everyone who believes that the bible is true, that they are ignorant of real science and they haven't even jumped onto the question. Yes, I'm calling those people lazy and stupid.

  • @aqouby To some degree I can agree with you, people that go about the bible as the exact written law of god and don't approach it subjectively can be said to be a bit sheltered, however the majority of Christians are not that way. In fact you are approaching a minority. You just said that the bible is causing kids to be retarded. That couldn't be further from the truth. In fact I might say that it's causing kids that are objective to become smarter, to educate themselves. 1 of 2

  • @smiley042894 And no, teaching the bible has been statistically proven to be more dangerous for ones ability to learn and accept other things in life. You believe the bible then you're that much less likely to ever become a scientist and add to society, instead of telling everyone that they're going to hell if they don't believe in something scientifically impossible to prove. In fact, you can't prove anything in the bible. It's like teaching Jack And The Beanstalk as if it were fact. Bullshit.

  • @aqouby Pathetic, you think scientists are the only people that contribute to society? No, I agree teaching the bible at an early age defeats the purpose of the bible, one must remain objective. Also, how would you know of the Old Testament when you haven't read the bible? You wouldn't it's all subjective many if not all of the acts were committed by man acting in the name of God without God interfering at all. You'd know this if you actually read and weren't already biased.

  • @smiley042894

Anything that reduces the amount of potential scientists is bad. End of story. Science is what saves lives, scientists contribute MOST to society.

  • @Yankyal1 Sorry this took so long to get back to you, I've just been extremely busy with work. First off let me start by saying that even if there were no religion the world would not be better off. In fact in a moral perspective it might actually be worse off. Also no, the reduction of sceintist isn't always a bad thing. We're kind of putting to much money into theoretical science as it is. Theoretical science serves no practice application. So that actually directly opposing your statement.

  • @Yankyal1 (part2) Also with Einsteins theory of special relativity recently being proven wrong everything we think we know about science and the universe is a lot different. My father happens to be what you might call a scientist. However, contrary to popular belief they do not sit in a room brainstorming about how to make the world better. They sit at their desks performing remedial tasks like most of us. Very few actually do anything innovative.

  • @Yankyal1 (part3) Religion is more about the development of ones self through belief. It is innovation of ones own image of self so-to-speak. No Christians are not stupid people that belong to a cult. Yes, there are some who take it to far. No Christian should not all be viewed through this stereotype, and no religion is not a plague on the world. We do not move humanity forward with hate, or being assholes to people that believe something we don't we move it forward by unity. Hope this helps.

  • @smiley042894

-Crusades, Witch burnings, Christian Dark Ages, burning of libraries, inquisition, 9/11 etc. I think the world would be better off.

-Special Relativity was not proven wrong. It hasn't been tested outside of CERN and even then CERN has barely tested it.

-That's how YOU practice religion. Sorry, but religion outside of your comfortable american first world home isn't as nice and cozy as you think. There are wars, rape, and other unspeakable crimes being commited because of religion.

  • @Yankyal1 Yea there are cases of religion going to far. But its not all religion. Science does it to, look at the Nazi's thinking everyone who believes in religion is dumb and gathering around videos like this to act immaturely and mock people that believe in faith is stupid and a waste of time and resources. Not to mention immature. I think Scientology is stupid but im not going on videos and intentionality pushing at peoples beliefs. Yea CERN was tested more than once. same results.

  • @iusedtohaveacoolname Thank YOU! When religion is applied morally (the vast majority is) it's no hindrance. It actually helps. There are also unspeakable crimes committed in the name of science. CERN hasn't been tested outside because, well do you know anyone with an extensive particle accelerator? No? Me either.

  • @smiley042894

In the name of science? That's a result of those people being fucking idiots by murdering others. It isn't science itself telling people to do those crimes, unlike how religion tells people to murder.

  • @Yankyal1 I can't keep this up. You're clearly retarded. So you are atheist, now being atheist is not being retarded. Going about it like you have makes you retarded. In order for science to gain things have to die? correct? animal testing all that jazz. Well then isn't science telling you to kill something. Yea, some religion tells you to murder, that doesnt mean you should hate religion as a whole. The kkk tells you to be racist but I still support the peace core. done.

  • @smiley042894

Because animal testing is the same as killing humans because of their religious beliefs? I'm retarded here? And for the record, dumbass, the scientific method has nothing in it about killing. You don't have to animal test to make gains in science either. There are always better ways.

And I specifically hate christianity. I should have said Judeo-christian religions earlier, like islam, christianity, etc. Because those are the fucked up religions that DO tell you to kill people.

  • @Yankyal1 If you think that disciplined religious affiliates are told to murder by the Bible Koran or Torah you are reading it wrong. You clearly have no idea what you are going on about, I'd place your age somewhere around 13-17 you haven;t even begun to explore religious concepts and gospel don't preach against what you do not understand

  • @smiley042894

    - Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death. (Exodus 21:15)

    - If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10)

    - Cursed be he who does the Lords work remissly, cursed he who holds back his sword from blood. (Jeremiah 48:10)

-Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and posses the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. (Isaiah 14:21)

  • @Yankyal1 Exodus was talking about separation from God putting to death means that he will not have a relationship with god

Leviticus was not actually a demand from god. It was a law created by the Isrialites

Jeremiah is telling of that wrath of hell at worship of other gods

and unfortunately I don't have the time for Isaiah.

You could give these evil meaning or you could give it good meaning. It's subjective. Yea the bible isn't all good. But most of it is.

  • @smiley042894

Most? You are going to base your life on something that is MOSTLY alright? So god is okay, most of the time? He's supposed to be perfect.

Also here's an undeniable one, even though your given "explanations" for god killing people are fail enough. The global flood where God wiped out the entire earth except for Noah and the 2 animals of each species. How can you justify the flood?

  • @smiley042894

need anymore murderous words from the bible? I've got a metric fuckton ready to drop on your head. Just tell me.

  • @iusedtohaveacoolname

I'm sorry, did the Nazis kill people in THE NAME OF SCIENCE? What did they use as their reasoning please? Where in any scientific textbook does it say to kill people? Because I can pick out scriptures in most major religions saying to KILL PEOPLE. Science doesn't do that. Also, it wasn't tested outside of CERN, and inside CERN it wasn't tested a lot. You don't "test" CERN, CERN is the group that does the testing.

  • @Yankyal1 iusedtohaveacoolname says it all. Also, no its not a comfy American first world home. How arrogant of you to think so.

  • @aqouby 2 of 2 To educate themselves on what they are willing to believe and making it a journey of self discovery. Such as I have. You really shouldn't approach faith like you do, it's sickening. It doesn't make people ignorant to the truth unless you just take the zealots into account, embrace Christianity for its entirety, don't make sweeping generalizations. It's a fallacy, flawed logic.

  • @smiley042894 You can turn that argument onto yourself. You don't look at anything but what your sermon tells you. You don't listen to the parts where god demands that you kill gay people, etc. I wouldn't embrace christianity again if it offered me evidence of said god. Fuck the bible.

  • @aqouby No, I've read the bible in its entirety and one thing can be said about some of the controversial passages, they are subjective. For the most part they were humans acting as they thought God would want, not under direct orders of God himself. You can't really refute anything because you haven't read the bible yourself. So in effect you are arguing against something you don't understand, and don't take other peoples word for it either, it's a journey of SELF discovery.
