I love the detail and the resolve that you put into that model. Was this designed all from scratch? I based mine on a kit (Kavan) and got a fairly semi-scale look to it. (see video below). I wrote an article about this in one of the upcoming model magazines. Let me know if you are interested. That corrugated look is something special!
Have you solved the engine dummy problem, I might be able to help you out. I am just designing a WASP dummy on CAD and plan to have it rapid prototyped.
as an old timer once told me about my Mamod steam engine in my 19" harbor tug- you can be proud of that Tri motor -what a beauty- may be the most handsome plane ive lain eyes on -
Motors, controllers, batteres cost about $630. Receiver, servos, other electronics, probably cost $180. I built it over a period of 8 years and didnt keep track of the time or the cost of other components and equipment. Using Channel19 .
Bob vacuum formed sheet styrene over home-made forms to create the skin. Getting all the joints to line up took a huge amount of time, but the effect was realistic even viewed from up close.
Beautiful airplane!! Thanks for sharing.

Wow! That's one STOL airplane! (And a beautiful job.)
What material was used to provide the corrugated surface?
