  • now do this except with quad radeon 7770 ghz editions in crossfire :D

  • The 6990 is a noisy card!

  • ...I don't like you

  • Its amazing to look 2 same graphic cards *__*

  • how about some on screen physical proof for someone that is not showing bias... GG

  • what if you put an Nvidia card with a AMD card XD will it blend?

  • Where did you get the power supply from?

  • What a garbage comparison, try using a actual case, actual cooling system and some ram that isn't garbage. The 6990 cards will shit on and out perform its competitor.

  • @tymonster187 nothing like that should have any impact.... minus what you think is an actual "cooling system"

  • @tymonster187 yeah, so you're saying a case will make your video cards faster. dumbest comment ever

  • @tymonster187 the reason why cases have a cooling system is because the case is the main culprit for increase of temperatures. Also if you really want a cooling system for gpus then a good lcs would be the thing to get. Plus the ram isn't garbage, how did you get that conclusion?

  • that 6990 closest to the CPU looks rather hot...

  • way too loud

  • @angryaznman turn down your volume...

  • Comment removed

  • Most of the video talks and talks about.. basically nothing. So what I could translate is: "I have this expensive bunch of stuff all put together to play a game. Here are some random numbers about how powerful it is (WAY too much for.. anything). "

But yeah, your crap is cool.

  • nice ram

  • Are those running on Windows 7?

  • dual dual dual... i lol'd

  • imagine putting your finger in that fan..

  • sorry but thats too noisy ... ><

  • My one gpu has more fans than two of those... lol

  • Quad crossfire/sli? because they have 2chips? still find this SLI not Quad sli

  • @Hypertraxable Yes, two chips = SLI/CF.. which means, 4 chips = Quad..

    It's not rocket science..!

  • @Anima87 Yee, but still i find this 2way sli nothing more!. 4x 590 *if possible* would be quad in my opinion. But apparently that will be DualQuad SLI xd!

  • @Hypertraxable You may think of them as internal and external sli/cf..

    It would be OCTOsli/cf

  • @Anima87 pretty much like EVERY cpu is 1 physical cpu, but can have 8cores in dual threads witch we like to call 16-core

  • what res display is that?

  • anyone else hate the way he says against?

  • Not genuine. That sucks because now-a-days if you buy a copy of windows you can only activate it like once then it blacklists it or you have to call in which can take forever with D is for dog bullcrap. But I bet you have a paid version.

Next, ATi has had serious problems in my experience. I think GeForce cards all-around work better, especially under load and overclocking (ATi caused all the xbox red rings of death, and ps3s have nvidia, with problems being rare)

  • @LinusTechTips your very rich can you just give me your old graphic cards?

  • this video was very useful for me , ty :]

  • Do you need a shit load of RAM for overclocking? I don't think so, but you can never be sure....

  • Please do Battlefield 3 Test...I searched in youtube and there isn't a comparison between hd 6990 crossfire and gtx 590 sli ;(

  • And now test with 4-way sli 580 and 6970 (as 2-way sli)

  • Dual SLI/CF is an immense waste of money.

I wouldn 't expect anything LESS than flawless 60fps for any game at those prices

  • Droolll....

  • AMD Win

  • @LinusTechTips

    Gimme Ur Other Video Cards

    ........

  • che una pregunta XD .si haces un crossifire x3 se suma la velocidad ?

  • @Ritmiken todo depende del motherboard que estes usando y del procesador ,pues las lineas de pci-e que cada procesador soporta es diferente.

  • wheres your anti static wrist strap you could fry that mobo

  • how is the amd card looses on the other tests, but woops the gtxs on Metro? What's different there?

  • @darknessofkrish In Most cases Drivers..Games with the Nvidia Branding have uneeded Code that slows down AMD cards and Games with the AMD branding has uneeded code that slows the Nvidia , Metro2033 is Raw Graphics with out any Extra added Protocalls that favor the GPU drivers, you will see this go back and forth. this current generation of games Had Nvidia branding and the Next generation will be AMD. game developers and Hardware developers switch contracts back and forth. there is no best brand

  • Those things are way too loud to even consider, no matter what kind of performance they offer.

  • Linus, im building a gaming Pc i want a good graphic card with 2GB nvidia for £180.

was looking in to gainward gtx 560. can you recomend something for about that pricetag?

  • @websterboyHD You won't get a response... Though if you ask me the AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB is the best for a 2gb card, though you might have to go up to about £190-£200 for a 6950. If you want a 560 however, and are only using one monitor (which I highly suspect you are) I recommend you just get a 1GB 560 ti, more precisly the Asus GTX560 Direct CU-II on Amazon UK, Which only costs £166 at the moment. If you want to save even more money go for my GPU, the Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB

  • @websterboyHD get a GTX 560ti, NOT the normal 560. MSI Frozr II OC should do it.

  • 590 is the best graphccard

  • игре метро я верю больше всего. к её созданию nvidia не прикладывала рук.

  • шумят одинаково. )))

  • шумят одинаково. )))

  • SLI = scaleable link interface... Nvidias method for connecting 2 or more video CARDS together for producing a single output..... it does however say that dual GPU cards use on board SLI hmmmmm I learned something today......thanx guys and PEACE to AL

  • is this your job? you lucky motherbleeper

  • someone please explain to me how he considers 2 GPU's as "quad"? Ummmm hello, quad = 4 does it not? <:o(

  • @WelLRoundeDSquarE He's using dual core GPUs.

  • @SETHHIKARU NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. He's using two dualGPU graca..

  • @WelLRoundeDSquarE Dual GPU cards you dipshit

  • @BhunaBhuna did i call you names ? i think not..... Hmmmmm I think this needs a new term then. Isn't SLI the function of connection? so would this not be dual SLI with dual core cards? I'm just wondering.....

Oh and Bhuna......I don't need you opinion TANX <:o)

  • FTW? of course Nvidia

  • whats benchmark name ?

  • I would choose Gtx590 just cuz its so much more silent

  • i think both cars are good :D

  • The 590 looks so sleek and sexy :D

  • lol do you even have any cases?

  • @jakeb1997 pretty sure he does, he probably does an out-of-the-box setup for quick changes etc...

  • @jakeb1997 Yes he does, but he uses the test benches because he can build a system really quick on one of those vs in a case.

  • u write like shit

  • Say no to ACTA!

  • Duel GPU cards, should really only be water cooled.

  • Can someone please respon! Wat CPU cooler is Lusing here? Thank you for any replies. :)

  • When you used the 6990's did you use the switch to activate both GPU cores?

  • Have all that money to test the hardware yet you can't make a graph to compare the frame rates?

  • ur voice sounds like Sheldon Cooper's voice

  • Holy shit hes almost yelling

  • i'd like to see an image quality comparsion, since that's the reason I've never gone back to Nvidia after trying an Ati.

  • the clear winner is Nvdia come one just say it you know you want to

  • also evga discontinued the gtx 590's and swifttech only sells there geforce waterblocks through evga..... shame..... shame...

  • why not try 4x 580 or 4x 6970/7970 ?????

    maybe with some water blocks????

  • how come newegg or tigerdirect dont sell the gtx 590s ????

  • Your windows is not genuine. haha

  • @scalagos0123 Poor thing...#Daz Loader FTW

  • @scalagos0123 It is but windows requires reactivation if you swap out components but he obviously does a lot

  • @scalagos0123 he swaps components all the time that's why it says not genuine :)

  • @scalagos0123 how can u tell?

  • LOL nice and all nice stuff untill ya see the cheep ass ram ....looks like house ram...hahaha

  • What's the point of this? 1 is more power then any game needs at any resoultion.

  • how does the second card get any air?

  • CROSSFIYA! YOU GET CAUGHT UP IN THA, CROSSFIYA!!!

  • yourichbro?

  • oh this is silly using 590's with out increased vram on larger than 1080p monitor is unfair

  • Comment removed

  • can i use 1000w fractal design psu to run two of these?

  • @ShadysFriend give me the video card !!!

  • @MrOpirim hahaha

  • what kind of case? where did you get it

  • gameplay > graphics

  • @MoldytoasterMedia nope.avi

  • @MoldytoasterMedia graphics > gameplay

  • @MoldytoasterMedia What a noob, so, acording to you, Doom95 is not playable ?

  • @houari2009 that's the oposite of what i said.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia So true:D But if you're insinuating that graphics is all PC gaming is good for then you are dead wrong. They also have a host of options as far as gameplay and features are concerned, that consoles do not have access to.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia thats why Lost Planet 2 sucks major balls.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia The words of a jealous boy :)

  • @MoldytoasterMedia graphics gameplay>

  • you sponsor him with these GPU's and he does not even have a tablet for note writing? Gees.

/ Im just kiddin, you did a great job man - Thank you! :-)

  • i like how he doesnt use paint voor showing the benchmarks xD Old skool way ftw :D

  • There is a difference between seeing still images as motion instead of individual frames, and that happens somewhere around 24fps and not being able to see the difference past a certain point. truth is your eyes don't have an fps they don't see the world like that so of course you can tell the difference. but keep in mind, 60fps will look much smoother then 100fps if you only have a 60hz monitor

  • Dear everybody below me in the comments,

The average human eye surpasses 100fps, in which it sees, and it can detect a difference between say 20 to 50 fps or 50 to 100. It's just that it gets harder to notice as the frame rate of the becomes more alike to the frames per second of which you see.

  • Anything above 60 you can't see if your monitor's refresh rate is 60 ghz. Why is everyone crying?

  • Comment removed

  • has expensive ass hardware, HDD instead of SSD. And leaves out ram timings and command rates. lol wut?

  • one milion of words to say:

AMD is SUCKS > BIS 999,998 tiemes.

  • Linus something is wrong with the Crysis 2 i have EAH 6950 and when on ULTIMATE i get static 100fps...

  • SLI is 2 cards so if you want quad SLI then you need 8 GPUs

  • @keepsyougoing1 *quad* is = to 4 so 4 gpus ( but we all know that )

but i get what you mean :P 8 gpus would be SICK!

ive never really though about it till now xD lol so it'd be only dual crossfire lol

  • What CPU cooler might that be? Thanks for any reply :)

  • @Kvitnifr its a noctua but i don't know what model is.

  • try a quad m2090

  • so ok i cant understand this: i have a sapphire hd 6950 and on crysis 2 on ultra i get 90 fps whereas here he gets 44.2 fps with 2 6990's o_O wtf? and i do have an older sony display where i run them at 1200x1024 (or something like that) but does that really change the fps THAT much?! o_O

  • @littlebuch Lol... obviously. Your card is overkill for that low resolution. If you got a better screen your frames would drop dramatically.

  • @TheHornyHomunculus yeah but res doesnt really do much in the fps department... :\

  • @littlebuch Yes it does. If you don't think so, play in 800x600 then play in 1080p...

  • @Kirbyguy222 try 640x480 it sucks running game's that low these days.

  • @littlebuch Of course it does, it makes the biggest difference O_o

  • But, will it blend?

  • Yeah but can it run tetris?

  • That is far too loud.

  • so i guess quad gtx 590 OR ATI 6990 is not enough for this guy... he needs both...

  • You could play some serious pokemon with that thing.

  • The real test like this need to be done with Nvidia Surround VS AMD Eyefinity.

  • I did the same thing on my ASUS board, the 16x slots are further apart on the rampage iv, which normally would be a good thing, unfortunately, that puts the bottom gpu (gtx 580) directly over one of the motherboard fans. Not a real big deal, it has about 1/4 of fan still exposed.

  • look son a vorgin.

  • @goncaloleiro He is married.

  • @goncaloleiro Virgin*

  • VIRGINITY, I CHOOSE YOU!

  • i got a question... why does comparing fps for graphics cards matter when people cant see over 30fps?

  • @xadam123 That's a myth. You can clearly see a difference between 30 fps 60fps and 100fps.

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel The actuality behind it is that you can't see over 30fps, HOWEVER the blur is greatly reduced at grater fps. The other side of it is that the human eye is not a machine and can't be synced with the display. Therefore higher fps increases the likelihood that you will see a sold frame. The more fps, the less time any one frame takes to be displayed.

  • @PAWMANIACS I can distinctly tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps. But okay.

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel @TheLarhf I never said said that you can't tell the difference. Try Reading all of what a person says next time. Its a lot more complicated than JUST fps; I personally look at it from a physics point of view. The term fps confuses the issue, I always like to refer to it as hertz as it makes it fit into physics better for me. I would go into very detailed specifics but I know the audience here doesn't really care.

  • @PAWMANIACS I agree. Hertz matters more once you have a good 60fps.

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel As future electrician, in theory we have thought that lightbulb flashes 50 times per second (due Finland's 50Hz electricity network, in USA they have 60Hz so 60 times per second flashes), so if you could actually see 60 frames per second, you would see flashing lights and stuff like that.

  • @FireSqy I'm pretty sure you'd see a difference. One light would be smoother looking than the other.

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel Nope. I just said that eyes are slower tha 50 flashes per second.

  • @FireSqy i know for a fact my eyes can see upwards of 60 fps, but on top of that, i can feel much smoother the game runs even if i cant see it, i can feel the difference between 150 and 300 fps in cod. The mouse and movemetns and everyhting just happens so much smoother and easier.

  • @klooger28 Prove it. You see flashing lights? No. Then your eyes can't see upwards of 60 fps. And cause we are all humans and have very close skills, it impossible. And no screen is over 120Hz (or at least 200Hz). So it doesn't even refreshes the screen 300 times per second. So stop trolling.

  • @FireSqy you obviously have no idea what your talking about. My screen is only 60hz so yes i am only seeing 60 fps, but the gameplay itself happening behind the screen is far smoother, im not using my eyes to detect the difference above 150 fps, but it is definately there

  • @klooger28 Yes the game is smoother with bigger fps, I know that too, but you just stated that your eyes could see upwards of 60fps.

  • @FireSqy they can, but they arent because my monitor is only 60hz :)

  • @klooger28 And if they actually could, you would see your screen flashing, you would see lights flashing and stuff like that

  • @FireSqy i wouldnt specifically see it flashing, but its not perfectly smooth

  • @FireSqy

there are even 400 Hz LED TVs out there

  • @progste Sounds pretty useless for TV ;D but thanks for info, didn't knew.

  • @PAWMANIACS boallen dot com / fps-compare dot html

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel shut up cock head lol i dont relly mean that

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel between 30 and 60 yes, but your eyes cant tell the difference from anything higher than 50-60

  • @ShaunJ4Y1873 Uh yes they can...get a monitor with a higher refresh rate, it is noticeable

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel Let him be, those myths are the only thing console "gamers" have for defending their under powered toys...

  • Comment removed

  • @CircuitDaemon dude, shut up

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel

    30fps to 60 fps: YES

    60fps to 100fps: NO

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel On a normal LCD/LED monitor you CANNOT physically see 100fps because the refresh rate on the monitor prevents more than 60fps from appearing on the screen.

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel Every person sees it differently. Some can't even tell the difference between 20 and 30

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel Human eye can't see over 60 fps :\

  • @Dirxano That's not true at all. First off the more light there is the higher FPS your eye can "see" if it's dark you "see" less FPS. The human eye can detect well over 200 FPS provided there is ample light. So please stop spreading misinformation.

  • does quad not stand for 4? maybe its my ignorance but i thought quadfire was 4 GPUs where as you were only running dual.

  • @desiGnampthia The Nvidia 590 and the AMD 6990 are the top models of the generations, and are "dual-core" GPUs. Todays computers can't handle more than 4 GPU cores, so this is max possible.

  • @madsmadser ah i see... sorry, hehe
