Wrong, A alternator with a full load when it excites the mower engine will bog down and die sometimes.. I would say a 10 hp engine to run 1 alternator at a full 30-50 amp load...
can you tell me what alternator you are using ? what would work in this case and would you be interested in helping me

Serious question: What about running more than one alternator? It seems like the mower would have the power for it. Right or wrong?
