Khogen da kept the essence of the song and thats why the overall sound was good evn after the jazz style guitaring,the percussions wer really good. Shankar has a range where he can play around with notes and thats what he has done here...only at places it was overdone...The song should have had its original koli feel to it....Although Khogen da's part totally owns the song...

somehow feel Shankar mahadevan ruined the beautiful melody created by Khagen Gogoi.. Music director seems to be blamed!!! Bad transition.. Loved the part from Khagen Gogoi :) its really melodious... To comment on CS pak and CS mtv.. CS pak is better at the moment... however, even CS pak has 1 or 2 (max) songs which are worth listening per episode. I dont see CS mtv far behind..With time CS mtv would do wonders!!! BTW I dont care cause good music from any part of the world keeps me happy :)

heard khagen gogoi for d very first time. many thanks to coke studio for giving this talented artiste such international exposure! his performance is so honest! it captures d magic of Assam! shankar is truly a superb artiste & he merges his performance with gogoi very well & the two have come up with a great confluence. As far as i know, 'dolkar' is an original composition by Hridaynath Mangeshkar, & not a folk song. It has been penned by d poetess Shanta Shelke. Sung by Lataji & Hemant Kumar.
