I have hereditary high cholesterol as well and avoid dairy, egg yolks, and red meat. However, current thinking about avocado and shrimp is that they don't increase your bad cholesterol, so they are safe to eat even if you follow a low-cholesterol diet. She touches on this briefly in the video.

Squeezing the avocado like she does bruises it and it gives it a bad presentation. It's better if you spoon it out and cut it in your board.
Also my dad has high colesterol and he can't eat shrimp, avocado, eggs, etc (in eccess or at all if possible).
