The case on abortion is simple. If you believe that a fetus at some point is the same as a child who has born abortion is murder, just as killing a 2 - day old child is murder. It doesn't matter if the child is raped or not. If you don't believe the fetus is a human life at a point, then it is simply part of the womens body, like a bacteria and is her right to kill.

Supposedly before 24 weeks the baby has no chance of survival, so I'd say before that

It is unclear whether the fetus part of the women's body or an individual yet. However, I consider the after 24 weeks abortion is always wrong and should always be illegal. it doesn't mater whether the women was raped, or the child is diseased or anything.

Men have no say in the matter? Clean out your ears women, and listen to this man speak. Most people contemplating murder don't do it because they will go to jail if caught. Why killing your own children should not be punishable by jail time is beyond me. If a woman kills her child 2 hours after giving birth, she is subject to THE DEATH SENTENCE in some states! But if she had only decided to kill it 3 hours prior the only difference is that it's legal and you didn't have to look it in the eyes!

For those of you who insist "men shouldn't be allowed in the debate"; you do realize it was seven MEN in black robes who made abortion on demand the law of the land in 1973, right? They tell us this all the time by not raising min. wage, by not cutting taxes for the middle class and lower income, by not putting money into our public school system, by not fixing the terrible health care system. If there is any woman reading this who is thinking about having an abortion, I encourage you to look up the 4D abortion video on youtube. "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." That includes your child. There is always addoption and that is true even for babies who might be sick or disabled. Don't listen to anyone who says that God hates you. That is a lie. He loves all his children and never leaves then alone, he is always patiently waiting for them to call for him.

I AM against aborion and PRO LIFE. That means that I believe that the dignity of human life goes from the womb to the tomb. I do care about babies in utero and babies that have been born, children, teens, adults, and seniors. I also care about the troops in Iraq. My brother recently finnished his second tour there in three years, but unlike the unborn, he chose to be in that sittuation.

I understand why some think that freedom of speech and opinion shouldn't be limited by genger, but pregnancy is something that only woman can experiance. Roe V Wade was decided on the 14th amendment, that which is based on issues of privacy.

Making abortion illegal has degraded the 14th amendment the rights of privacy that a woman has or had.

The situation is simple, say on the other foot, The President and congress state that viagra should be illegal that 'god' says the man ought not be unnatural and then a federal ban on viagra comes up; what will the results show?

How about this position on Abortion? Prior to viability you can have an Abortion for any reason. But, after viability you can end the pregnency, but you can't Abort. You have have a C-Section or induced early birth, than the Fetus is put on life support and doctors try to do all they can to keep it alive. Killing should only be done when necessary.

Republicans used to be "hands off" in the area of government intrusion in personal freedoms. The whole anti abortion stance is decidedly UN-republican. As a nation, we are far more willing to blindly defend the rights of a mass of cells than we are to provide for pregnant women, or children once they are born. It is the height of hypocrisy. How has McCain voted on children's issues once they are here? That is a far better test of whether he is pro-life or not!

I understand your view and I realize that women do all of the work and suffer all of the pain and risk in a pregnancy. However, I beleive in cases of non-life threatning or non-incestious/rape pregnancies the man should have at least some say. After all, the fetus is composed of 1/2 the males genes. Speaking from a strictly Darwinian perspective, this is significant. I know I am not going to change anyone's mind, but I just wanted to state my opinion in an open forum.

You've made an interesting point. I wonder what the statistics show in cases where a woman is supported in her pregnancy by the father of the baby. Anyone have an idea if those kinds of data are collected? I know they ask those questions to women seeking termination, but do they do anything with them?

Let's see, a candidate for president, and he doesn't have the right to take a position on Roe v Wade? Cleary this woman has disqualified herself as anyone capable of putting two thoughts together. But she is not alone. Others think this way, and they say men in general have no right to express an opinion against abortion. Seems free speech is limited by gender. Didn't know that. Must be because of the shame someone feels when they take a life.
