  • LOL @ phantom

  • @PhantomXII - are you ralph perry?

  • Cajelais was actually a favorite to win post-flop. I think he put Tony on exactly what he had and was correct to move in. It was tough for Tony to call, which he did, and the huge draw missed. All of this happened thanks to Tony's big heart and commitment to the game.

  • he's a dirty russian

  • slimey your dumb vs AA u dont push that crap..fkn internet players

  • @GlobalStrike1 actually 86 of diamonds is a little more favored .... dont try to be a smart@ss if u dont have the facts right

  • its just stupid relying on a draw

  • @XowntXihqX 2 draws

  • I like the all in push with the open ended straight flush draw. You have to get your money in with a coinflip and a favorite against any pair I believe. He either calls and your ahead or he folds and you win the pot right there.

  • To the morons who are asking why the french guy didn't just call to see what comes up on the turn and river, it's way too obvious, he won't pay you off if you hit your hand and he will not give you the odds to call.

He was obviousley trying to get a fold out of Tony G, knowing that he would be in a coin flip situation at worst against most any hand.

  • he played it like a set ! he played it like a set

  • Tony G was the 45-55 dog there. That's how tournaments are though- you've got to trust your instincts if you see an opportunity to double up early take it. Tony would rather double up and have a good shot at winning or just get knocked out early and go about his business than play timid and squeak into the money.

  • I hate tony g....

  • Other pros say he's a totally different person when he's at the table, though, and he donates alot of winnings to charity, sometimes 100% of certain tournaments.

I don't know what to think of Tony G anymore, I just hope I never end up at the tables with him.

  • don't worry-you won't.

  • Lol, that's very true. At least there's one perk to being bad at poker- Tony G won't take my money and make fun of me.

  • @Muchodelcrazy i hate him, Some guy went all in with KJ on him before and tony G called and won and Tony G was like "Bye get out of here" just because the guy raised with KJ...Tony G is a douche bag

  • @PhantomXII

the person in question called an allin with KJ.. that's just plain retarded.

  • Comment removed

  • @PhantomXII

because it's a shitty hand and it's an underdog to A2 (wich is a shitty hand as well)

  • @PhantomXII what are you ahead of? Calling with KJ there is retarded and Tony is never shoving worse.

  • @MrGnomemeat Tony G shoved with A 2....thats retarded on it's own

  • @PhantomXII you obviously understand bvb dynamics quite well (sarcasm), not to mention obvious emotion factoring into Ralph Perry's decision. A2s is generally ahead bvb and last time I checked, Ace high beats king high.

  • thats a shame coz he wants you

  • Anyway what a call by Tony G! His opponent was representing a set! Limped in, called the raise. Check-raised the Flop, reraised all-in! He was really representing a set!!!

  • well...why put all money in so early in the tournament with an open handed straight flush draw so early in the tournament? he coulda called and see what comes on the river! he has got many outs!! It's a coin flip!! You dont want to risk your tournament on a coin flip!!!

  • ive read a couple of your posts, and i hate people like you. people who think they're the gods gift to poker, and know everything. look, his opponent wasnt representing a set....he was representing exactly what he had. he probably assumed tony G had a big pair...i like 86 of diamonds against aces there....and if he had called....like you said....he would have seen what came on the turn....not the turn.

  • I would also say he was representing a set here...

Limp in with a small pair is pretty standard, and after the check-raise and the all-in, it's questionable whether Tony G should still put him on a high pair and call that. I wonder what makes you think he represented 86s, how can you even represent that hand?

And btw, I wonder how something like that can become the "hand of the day"

  • Well sincerly I don't think i am a god or something like you said. I just commenting a hand, and to me when you're playing deep stack it's just stupid to put all your tournament at risk on a draw. If the same hand was played in a final table, or finale stages of the tournament, going all-in would certainly be fine, but in the first hands of a tournament....cmon, Anyway that is my opinion and sorry I meant the turn, not the river.

  • i agree with ya WhytyProd, I was fully sure that the random guy would turn up set of fives or set of threes. He must have put tony g on an overpair and to risk your tournament on a coin flip this early on is the wrong way to play. if he had smooth called tony's bet on the flop he could have gotten away from it on the turn. absolutely no need to go all in with it in my opinion.

  • He had an open ended straight flush draw. The time to get your money in the pot is on the flop when you have the most equity.

  • shut up

  • fuck you.

  • why would he limp middle late position with KK or QQ like what tony put him on, if he did limp here with those hands definitly re pop tony pre flop. dunno wtf Mr G is thinkin, i thought that dudes play screamed set. Please correct me if im wrong.

  • I totally agree!! I don't know how Tony G could make this call! It's very early stage of the tournament, so he probly don't know anything about his opponent. It's really a strange hand! Tony G was representing a strong hand (and actually it was) with his raise preflop, and the raise and reraise after the flop. Sincerly I dont understand why his opponent checked raise and above all reraised all-in!

  • It's sick!! You have a strong draw, just call the raise and see what happens on the turn, impled odds are great. Than you could make better decisions!

  • i think he had set without knowing yet

  • Wow it's amazing to me people make this play at this level as well.

Wow, I knew he had 86 Tiles too...... to many cards out of the Deck and Tony knows this.

He played this horribly for 40K

  • F I R S T !
