I have a congo I rescued him a year ago. He is so timid he wont climb from one perch to another sometimes gets so scared of me opening the door. Im getting him out of that by offering him a peanut. He is deathly afraid of hand movement but, when he is on the floor he will sit right by me..Would like to know how timid was she and your training techniqes that helped.:)
Kaylee is very timid of hands too and growls when you try to pick her up. It has been a little over a year now and she will give me kisses and let me scritch her neck as long as I approach her with a closed fist. Also here lately she has been letting me pick her up if she is low on the playstand or low in her cage. I feel she is gaining confidence with getting her flight back.
We got her from a breeder, he told us that she was like this from day one. They are relaiable breeders and very good. So we bought her about 4 weeks ago. This scene is progress.
