Who was in charge for a decade before 2007 and in the White House until 2009? Where did we end up ? Have you been asleep ? We were lied to about a war, that's for sure and high unemployment due to a deregulated credit market that was destined to fail. All of which occurred under the Republican agenda. I am the owner of a weatherization company and have four employees, three of which were previously on unemployment. We are growing. This program has allowed us to take the next step to secure long term sustainable private sector jobs in the green industry. In my area %99 of the houses are owned by the people living there. Obama has done more for the country and its citizens than many previous administrations.  Lets not forget which policies got us in this mess in the first place.

@diggitydanab Explain why things are worse under Obama? Unemployment is higher. Record bankruptcies, foreclosures, poverty and use of food stamps are happening under Obama. The policies that got us into this mess is the ones put forth by Obama and his Democrats, who have spent us into more debt than any other Congress in history. They've been in charge since 2007. Unemployment has since doubled. Facts are important when making claims and your claims are a fraud, much like Obama.

Obama is an idiot and a liar. I am part of the WAP, let me tell you how it works in REALITY. Feds borrow 10k/home from china, federal, state, county, city govt.s take 4k and give the remaining 6k to the contractor, who does about 4k worth of work. All of the 4k worth of work goes to a wealthy slumlords house, where the owner didn't giv a shit and now the homes are falling apart. The slumlord gets the 4k worth of work done, kicks out the renter, sells the house for 4k more. FCK OBAMA!!

This is an awesome plan, and I am working a job for my local community service to outreach to people in my area who need weatherization services. It is tax money spent in the right direction in my opinion!

Where is our choice whether or not to upgrade a rich slumlords house/apt building? almost half of our money for this program is going to govt. or China., the rest of it pays a contractor that cheats the audits so that they can do only profitable upgrades, to a wealthy slumlords house, how many low incomes own houses?
