Trust me, he wasn't going slow enough when his wing started to roll. If you look really close when he starts to roll you'll see his right aileron is fully up. Any pilot will know that when you're entering a stall you don't use aileron control to correct it, you use rudder control. By the way, they showed this video when I was A&P school & it was mechanical failure.

What I was getting at if you read what I put down is, when you're flying close to stall speeds you're going to use your rudder not ailerons to control your turns or else you're more than likely going to put the aircraft in a spin. Thats what I was talking about. I meant to put spin down instead of stall. But then again, you can't enter a spin unless you stall first.

I have spoke to guys that worked on the squadron that the nimrod came from and said they heard the crew scream over radio before it piled in!! Pilot judged a rapid descent wrong and his last words were " sorry guys" before it hit!!

As far as I am aware, The Nimrod did not have the same problems as the Comet....The Comet suffered from explosive decompression because of the shapes of their windows and doors. It was an error in design.....

Redux is high heat and pressure epoxy system invented by Norman de Bruyn at Duxford UK, and now used in all airliners. Managers did nor have enough faith in brand new Redux alone, so asked for rivets too. The rivets and their holes led to fatigue-induced cracks and failures.

It didn't happen just after takeoff. It was performing at the CNE airshow, Canada's biggest airshow which takes place over 4 days at the end of every August. The plane had been in the air for about 10 minutes doing various manouevers before it crashed. I was there and saw it live. If i recall correctly the cause was later determined to be pilot error, he tried a manouever too low to pull off.
