@Hammersmith80 So how many of your ''experienced anglers who are far more successful than Martin'' have had numerous tv shows, DVDs, Films with Bernard Cribbins, Films made by Hugh Miles, caught more than 2 British records, present brilliantly, write excellent books caught large numbers of 3lb rudd, 50lb carp, 16lb barbel, 4lb perch, huge grass carp, 3lb roach, 7lb chub and are great guys who have contributed ridiculous amounts to angling. Not many eh... Martin is the man!

You can put the corn on the hook itself and wrap it with simple sewing thread to hold it on much better. It also works extremely well with chicken liver, shrimp, and dough balls.

If u put the corn streat on the hook it can obstruct the full hook point from getting fully into the carps lip and you wont have a very good hook hold. but that is a verry good rig iv had 2 25lb carp from the uk and a 32lb cat on that rig!! 10\10 from me highly recomended..

I am using 12lb mainline (braid) and a 8 or 10lb hooklength

so you have a braided main line and a braided hooklenghth?

if soo... try using a mono mainline i personaly use 13lb mono... when i go 2 a specimine carp lake  with a braided hooklengh i never use a mono and mono or as ur self ... braided and braided...

lol just looks like a hair rig..... every carp rig in the world is a hair rig, the rig is nothing to do with the Hair... The rig is the piece of tubing extending the shank, the shot just above the hook. The shrink tube just on the bend of the hook and the bait, thats the rig. The hair itself isnt the rig thats a standard knotless knot hair rig yes but thats not the rig lol. Every pop up, bottom, bolt what ever is a standard hair rig itsself but the shot and tubing and placement is the actual RIG

haha dont worry about it, now i look back at it i can see how much of a fool i was.

im from nottingham. its suprising how quick you can learn all this stuff, it was only 6 months ago i posted that comment and i now know god knows how many rigs, most of these rigs dont work but my favorate rig at the moment is the blowback rig. ive had loads of carp on it mostly around 5lb but ive had a 12lb and 14lb 9oz carp.
