interesting, there seem to be more of them out there...

i got a white/black Daion Savage (thats what the seller told me, it does not say Savage anywhere on the guitar though) a few months back and just can't figure out what this beast is...nobody seems to know them, but it is certainly one of the finest guitars i've had in my hands and that includes some pieces that cost +10x the money i've paid for this.

spectacular, very cool shape aswell. this had the potential to sell in millions..

@RFreigeldorff Well the first guitar in the video is a Savage for sure. If yours look like that, then easy to tell. Depending on pickups the modelnames can differ a bit, from Barabarian to Berzerker.

same configuaration here with 2 humbuckers and the black headstock, so we got twinbrothers here. as I said, love it to bits. the guys who built it definitely knew a bit or two about how to make a decent instrument.

how are the other models? worth checking out? you seem to have "a few" of them ;)

@RFreigeldorff The "other" models in video is probably superoir to the Savage due to neckthru construction. A matter of taste i guess. The savage fits in ones hands perfectly in some way :) . The aucoustic Caribous seem to have a tendency to belly up withb age causing high strings..AND ive seen more than one crack just below/next to the neck. Dont seem to affect anything..just noticeable if one looks close.

@Grogdaviking Det var som fasen! Har jag inte ens märkt. Var tvungen å kolla å det såg ut så faktiskt. Å andra sidan är ju halsen på den vinröda basen tjockare på E-sidan än på G-sidan. Däremot inte på den ofärgade. Tack för infot :)

killen i affären sa att det var troligtvis mahogany, men jag läste en recension på nätet där det stod att han trodde att det var ask?

Om man läser i en reklamblaska jag har så står det att kroppen är utav Ask familjen..vet ej vilka som ingår i denna dock..helt klart INTE mahogny iaf..halsen är : (rakt översatt) Stenhård Lönn ;)

Det fanns dessutom några väldigt udda modeller av savagen ock:

Veteran med 2 singelcoil mickar

well..jag e ju inte musiker..snarare samlare ;) men min savage gick ju i nåt punkband ett tag vet jag..jag skulle inte bytt iaf..kanske för å testa men skulle göra det så det gick att återställa till original. Jag har för mig att det är Dimarzio som sitter där på riktigt men inte säker..den lilla switchen är till för att serie eller parallell koppla ena micken..om du nu byter å vill bli av me mickarna kan jag köpa dom av dig :)

okej, men när jag väl har betalat för den (fick ta hem den för att titta lite på den, och fick behålla den tills jag har betalat :D, fick även en förstärkare på köpet :)) så ska jag och farsan göra ett nytt jack, han tillverkar egna gitarrer på fritiden så jag litar på att han vet vad han gör :P

I have a Daion Mugen Mark 1. It is the cheapest one they produced but still a very nice guitar with cedar top etc. Great sound.

Got a few scratches and dents on the body. Do you think it is worth spending a bit of money to get it restored?

I think I would have keep it the way it is..as with my Caribou..its pretty beaten up, but to much job to get the looks back..the sound is still there and i guess thats what counts

Did the brass frames for your bass change the tone in any way? For the good or bad?

i cant really tell at the moment..in my opinion it didnt..but i have to compare them both side by side later on..but technically, since the brass aint magnetic, most likely it doesnt change anything. Theoretically less hum due to more ground screeening..but i really have to check it properly first ;)

I used to own a Power Mark XX that I bought new in Canada in 1982 for $600.00. Most beautiful guitar I've ever seen. I'm still kicking myself for selling it in the '90's.

Yes they did..somewhere i think i have some pics of it too..but i think they only did it with lower quality just before they went out of business..ive seen stratmodels..ibanez-like models too..if you want to feel the real thing look out for such ones that appears in the video above (only my opinion of course :)

Thanks for posting that Dunderola. I have a Power X myself. Seriously underrated guitars, which has a positive effect on the price of course. Nowadays kids want a Gibbo 'cause their mates have one. I bought my Daion 'cause it was affordable and, even though I tried it without an amp, sounded amazing. I replaced the stock PUs with SDs. Anyway, good luck with your collection, keep posting additions and keep rocking.
