  • GREAT!

  • For me sir Paul and this song are the symbols of 70's

  • This is Awesome, Sir Paul McCartney you're the best, i love all the Beatles, but Sir Paul is favorite.

  • one of my childhood'S memories...thi song brings me the magical air I breathed when I was just 9 years old...my world was music (oldies), school, videogames and my platonic love of childhood

  • Man, this song brings back some beautiful memories...Sir Paul, indeed.

  • I love this song and I love this video!!!!!! Paul is fantastic and all the band too!!!!!!!

  • the best of the world. Forever

  • gotta love the power bass walk on 2:31 XD

  • FUCKING AMAIZING BASS PLAYER AND MUSICAL GENIUS, I LOVE HIM!!!!

  • ive got friends that are using this song for their first dance song after their wedding. bad ass....yes.

  • BEST BASS LINE EVAH! MACCA ROCKS! <333

  • 1:40 Paul was so popular with Wings that even the grandpa's were buying his records!!

  • 4 people don't want to fill the world with silly love songs

  • @MemoElOtro Whaaat's wrong with theeem?

  • Fuckin shit... this version is flawlesss.... almost unbelievable.

  • paul macartney, eres grande por siempreeee!!! gracias por tu musicaaa

  • this genre also open the manila sound during the 70s in the philippines

  • adoro a Paul y adoro esta canción!!!

  • If I could go to just one concert from the past, it would definitely be the Wings at the Kingdome in 1976. Not even the Beatles at Shea Stadium.

  • paul paul paul paul paul paul paul

  • paul = one of the most melodic bass players ever..... go paul!

  • @Mstrat86

PURE CLASS in tne BASS LINE (and VOICES)

  • Like no other bassline i've ever heard. Part jazz part rock, couple that with that voice, singing the lead vocal, the three part melody anchored by that bassline. Epic..just Epic. Words fail me. .

  • damn.... wish it was '76....... poor guy's voice is fading a bit.... but still too awesome for words..... I'm still pumped about seeing him on July 24 at Comerica park, Yes, that's right, this is 2011 and I'm gonna see him!!! hope to see all of you fellow fans there!!!!

  • @exil7 he's 69 and his voice still sounds magnificent

  • @Reginator3311 ikr!!!! too awesome for words!

  • @sonnyandbilly thank you so much for sharing this! I love Wings so much! How popular were they back then? It doesn't really matter to me but I have always wondered since I was born in the 90's..

  • @Icymarky0123 Back in the 70's wings were popular......This song, Band on the run, ect ect were played regularly and this song went gold. Of course this was after the height of Beatle mania, and nothing will ever be as popular as that was. WIngs was a pretty defining band of the 1970's though.....Paul is a very talented man.

  • I want to see these kinds of concerts. At my age of 15, all the concerts I see contain fire, explosions, backup dancers, lip syncing and etc. I wish I could go back in time and see these kinds of conerts from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc. :(

  • Seattle King Dome? I thought it would've been the Tacoma Dome. :|

  • Remember, he had to try to always outdo the Beatles, didn't he.

  • This ONLY ten years after he became wildly famous. Virtuoso talent. But was BETTER with the Beatles.

  • LOL! john, pete, george and ringo dislike this

  • Saw him yesterday in Rio de Janeiro. I still can't believe it, it was a dream come true. This man is such a legend! By far the greatest musician of the century. I can die happy now!

  • this sounds sped up.

  • Daaaaamn. Sir Paul: the only man in the world ever to pull off a mullet! U know when he said "sing it if u know it"? Well, I totally did!!!! But u know what's effin scary? It seems like veryone there is like 40! Children should be exposed to this kind of wholesome, rockin' music every day, like me! Come on! If I go to his concert one day, I swear, I'll be the only 12-year-old there!

  • @exil7 I was there. I was 21 years old & most of the people were young. For some reason that doesn't come across in the closeups. Older folks liked him then, as they do now, though. It's all good.

  • who the hell disliked this?

  • Beautiful song!

  • I am blest to get the opportunity to watch him at the Las Vegas MGM this June. It's been my dream since I was a child and I cannot Wait!

  • the audio is sped up.still great though

  • wot,s wrong with that. chur baby im on a high yeah yeah. !!!!!!!!

  • fretless?

  • @TomasE94 no its just a rickenbacker 4001s standard bass...

  • am i mistaken or are there members of chicago in the band?

  • who could honestly dis like this? are you kidding?

  • hard to believe he is a sSENOIR CITIZEN now!..fuckin weird?

  • @lymbicnoodle I just know it's sad... :'(

  • you just have to give it up for the 4001 Rickenbacker

  • was on SNL the other nite ....was awesome

  • omfg that drums!!

  • The boys from "Glee" put up a good fight with their cover of this great song...but just take a listen again and you'll agree... therr's really no comparison :-)

  • 3:28 - This is where I fall for Paul, once again!!! He is such an amazing entertainer!!!

  • philly love thumbs

  • I always liked this version better than the studio one. It just has more "oomph" live.

  • I always think Paul is dressed like a priest xD

    Love the bass line

  • man - this is a great vid - amazing bass line

  • man - this is a great vid

  • Paul really was able to hit those high notes, which now you can see these days he struggles, probably all those years of touring contributed, but also he's 68! And he still puts on a hell of a good live show, anybody should see him if you get the chance!!

  • As a recreational bass player, playing the bass line is easy; singing the words is easy- but doing both live can be tough! The 3 part vocal lines blew me away from the first hearing.

  • @BASSOR15 playing the bassline sure is easy. but CREATING it? i think this is what really amazes a lot of people, including me

  • "Sing it if you know it."

  • Forget the EPIC bassline, Look at that bass player! DAMN!! he can SING TOO??? Only Paul McCartney could be this awesome, no other human is capable

  • @Floridaboy7777 maybe of course John Lennon

  • @Floridaboy7777 I AGREE WITH YOU, HE IS A MUSICAL GENIUS AND VERY VERY GREAT

  • Rickenbacker 4001 bass.... que bajo la puta madre!!!!!!!!

  • Paul must have thought while doing this: Now I´ve done it the second time after the Beatles

  • Jeez, look at that finger work!

  • i hope my bass cover of this song does a bit of justice...

  • @XtrmMcjohnson nice plug!

  • @Mattmurr150 teehee ;)

  • the audio's pitch is a bit high

  • @kvnlmn Yes, I agree. A little too fast. Wish someone would post the pitch corrected version

  • JOHN TOOK THE WRONG DIRECTION AFTER THE BEATLES......( singing the blues...................... of the breakup))

  • MoxPistol I totally disagree with you, I absolutely love the direction McCartney took his music after the Beatles!

He could of rested on his laurels and produced the same old Beatle sound, but McCartney is more creative than that and went in a totally different direction, coming up with some of the best music ever!

There is absolutely nothing cheesy about his post Beatles music!

  • @thumbsaloft

Well... none of the Beatles really continued to make "Beatle" music after the break up, they all went onto different things that couldn't be grouped into a "beatles" category. Although, to think of some of their solo stuff as all being on one Beatles album is.... orgasmic

  • you gotta play those lines and sing those melodies

  • I definitely don't dig the direction Paul took his music after the Beatles, cranking out all this cheesy adult contemporary crap, but it's still amazing to watch him sing so well while flawlessly nailing the sick bassline in this song. He's definitely one of my musical heroes.

  • @MoxPistol Of course Paul couldnt live up to the Beatles solo, but I think he had songs like 'Jet' or 'Junior's Farm' in the early Wings era that were pretty rockin numbers. Dont forget he had lighter stuff like 'Maxwell's SIlver Hammer' or 'The Long and Winding Road' in the late Beatles era.

  • @PFB1994 Juniors Farm is my All time Fave Wings tune. It RIPS

  • Paul looked iconic 1970's when he was playing the Rickenbacker.

I remember my mom bought Speed of Sound when it came out and we all used to sing this song together. God, those were great times.

  • this paul mccartney and wings concert in 1976 was his best concert ever, performance wise and BASSLINE wise. damn! wicked ass basslines on all songs: silly love songs, letting go, medicine jar, band on the run!

  • Greatest bass line ever!

  • god damn, can the bass playing get any better??????? all the wings tracks had some the best recorded bass tracks ever made. you will never ever here this in now day recording tracks....period!

  • NO1 BASSIST IN UNIVERSE

  • i love this version so friggin' much, it made me so happy last night i almost cried hahahaha

  • best part: 2:29 the bass walk

  • Every time i tell people how great i think paul is on the bass i tell them to watch this video. He is flawless while simultaneously singing like abird

  • one word....BEATIFULL!!

  • It took 34 years for this performance to reach my wife.

  • i saw him live and was sooooooooo disappointed he didn't sing this :'( but the rest was amazing <33

  • @carriexshargay well let me say something .. I think it's better to sing his great songs of today from their last album in which you can hear what it sounds like your voice today .. it is obvious that her voice has aged but still evolving beautifully infinitely .. and those great issues before and were registered in his time with the voice I had .. Now would be good and really interesting to hear live singing the full album Electric Arguments is their latest work, the album is great

  • INCREIBLE CANCION E INCREIBLE BAJO RICKENBACKER!!!!!

  • great vid, I saw PMc at the Wachovia in Philly last night and he was awesome, the man is a true legend.

  • whats with the lisp paul!

  • A great response to John Lennon. One of the best songs by Wings. The beat on this version is faster and the addtion of the horn section makes it even sound better.

  • I remember when I was a kid I thought Paul McCartney & Wings were the best band in the world, I was aboout 11 or 12. One day some guys was on tv and made a joke that paul was in another band before Wings. I thought, 'they must not have been good enough to play with paul.' Little did I know....

  • @sonnyandbilly hey, almost opposite of me, I fell in love with the Beatles and THEN I found about the Wings... both great bands...... but I'm pretty sure the other 3 Beatles where good enough to have the right to play with Paul.....

  • LInda did a good job on this song.

  • Luv everything about this. Is this clip from Rockshow?

  • Incredible performance by Paul on this one

  • Another Great Song From The 70s Remids Me Of The Cute Girlfriend From The 7th & 8th Grade Sherie Was Her Name, Man I Would get All Gittish When She Would Turn Around In Band And Smile At Me LOL.

  • Wow! Excellent live show. Paul sings this song better live, don't know why =P.

  • Pitch of the video is a hair too fast. Should be slower

  • Amazing bass playing, while singing.

And Linda did a great job too. :D

  • he has a beautiful voice period

  • It isn't silly, love isn't silly...love isn't silly at all John : )

  • el mejor en la actualidad, como bajista y como musico

quiero ir a verlo a mexico!!!!

    MCCARTNEY RULES TOTALMENTE!!!!

  • linda sings here and proved she is "LOVELY LINDA" AND YOKO IS A BITCH

  • @selenarecuerdo

    and you know this because...?

  • One of the most important and influential Bassist of history of Pop Music.

  • it would be so good if he played this in his new tour for all us wings fans

  • WHOOOOO!! THE REAL BASSMAN!!

  • Bass, my God the Bass! what a Player!!

  • Comment removed

  • as tight as two coats of paint! Macca is a genius, no doubt whatsoever. Faultless.

  • PERFECT

  • This song is so much better "LIVE". It had a nice driving edge to it. That Summer of 76 was so great. I need a time machine!

  • That bass line is so tight. I'm really amazed how he can sing and play at the same time!!

  • @1funkyangel he sir paul mccartney he can do anything lol

  • @1funkyangel if you are already amazed, check out Geddy Lee playing @ Rush

  • @1funkyangel Not to belittle Sir Paul, in fact, it's much to his credit. When you've been playing bass for a few years, singing & playing bass at the same time becomes second nature. The writing of such amazing bass lines & the songs that they go with..The rest of us can only marvel

  • @1funkyangel Sounds much tighter on the studio version but he's still really good here.

  • @1funkyangel It's like a second nature for a bass player. Of course it is amazing, but many people can do that (me included!). What freaks me out is that he wrote the damn thing, and it's just shocking!!!! He still thinks of incredible bass lines, and it all comes natural for him.

This version is also much faster than the original, which makes it all even more shocking!

    Paul, the world loves you!

  • @1funkyangel because he's the king

  • damn, that seventy year old is singing the shit at 146ish lol!

  • the great one

  • Fantastic performance.

  • This song is just silly - but Great!

  • Some people can sing. Some people can play. Some people can write songs. Some people can entertain. McCartney has all of that and charisma too.

  • probably one of the best basslines ever

  • I could what this guy sing the phone book.

  • my mother loves this song,! i saw him at the golden globes. PAULIE!! with nancy. gr.

no one will replace linda in his heart..

    (i should accept that) lol

    :)

  • I believe much of the tour recording that was on the release was drawn from the Seattle performance.

  • Rather moving, I think. And just look at how hard he's working - singing a great top line vocal AND playing a complex bass line at the same time - never misses a beat. What a professional. Lovely.

  • This is awesome. Look at the crowd!

  • he went to the king dome?? FUCK I wish I was born back then

  • beautiful song silly love songs i love you

  • es mi idolo el mccartney y esa cancion es mi favorita jashjashjashajhsaj paul eres maravilloso eres unico ex beatles

  • many people ask if paul dead.... they have never seen this Paul..... Paul is living

  • I wish Paul would play a lot more of his solo songs nowadays like Magneto & titanium Man, Silly Love Songs, Beware My Love, Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey, Venus and Mars, and Listen To What The Man Said just to name a few

  • True...not much in the way of Wings stuff apart from the obvious...rockers like Hi Hi Hi...Junior's Farm woud go down well and I'm pretty sure his band are upto it. The live Listen To What The Man Said from this gig is exhilarating...

  • This song went straight to #1 in 76

  • I love this song(^^)

    ,,,,I,,love,,you,,,(^^)

  • is he using fake strings from a keyboard?if someone knows please let me know

  • No he had a horn quartet

  • Singing the song with playing really nice bass is so amazing.

  • @strat1969usa

    indeed!(^^)

  • everyone loves the bassline.. am i the only one here that loves the horn section of the song? 2:31

  • @mrgoldfist89 awesome horn section...

  • The old guy singing at 1:42 makes me smile :)

  • Im going to see Paul live in december. Really hope he will play Sily Love Songs :D

  • Where?????

  • @DennisGastelum01

    In holland at the Geldredome.

  • Paul was really the consummate performer of all the Beatles

  • hell yes... one of my favorite basslines ever

  • this bassline is amazing

  • This one's for you Cookie! <3 <3 <3........

  • gosh his hair

  • What can I say? Really, really great.

McCartney is the best songwriter ever.

    Awesome.
