Just now heard about this book - have yet to read it - but the notion of revamping the constitution is something that has repeatedly occured to me and in the current climate, perhaps it is time to do just that.
not that prof. Sabato is necessarily a liberal, I'm speaking more of those who refer to it as a "living, breathing" document, whatever that is supposed to prove
Mr. Sabado, you sound exactly like the type of person who, once engaged in a new Convention, would take it to the furthest possible reaches of reason & possibility, totally ignoring all calls for sense & control, making it a total runaway Convention only seen in our nightmares, with the goal of writing a completely new Constitution. I'm very, very afraid of you or someone like you being given a blank check with our God-given rights & the structure of our government.
Professor Sabato is such an overrated hack. He states the obvious facts as if they were profound. People think way too much of his "insights," and award him money and recognition he simply does not deserve. The only positive attribute in his speech is his plagiarism of those idealistic Virginia gentlemen. He is just another pretentious academic, without real-world experience, who believes he is the shit because he can cite the separation of powers.
Would you rather amendments made by Bush or by the people?Look into the TransAtlantic policy and see if it goes threw you will be represented by somebody in another country!Wexlers favorite committee.

Larry is a good guy. He is liberal, but has a lot of good advice to offer.

How about we just enforce the 9th and 10th Amendments and give consideration to repealing the 16th and 17th Amendments?
