The video of your daughter getting her injection helped my daughter get used to taking hers, so we wanted to post one of our own in the hopes it will help others.
Thank you very much, and I hope that your daughter is doing well with her medication.
@peaceloveartritis Jordan was 2 when her arthritis showed up and she has poly JRA too. She's been on Enbrel, Humira and just started Remicade infusions 4 weeks ago. So far so good :) Her eyes are inflammation free for the first time in months! I just hope her weekly MTX shot and her Remicade puts her into remission.
Iv been doing embrel since I was 5 I have polyarticular jra.........I also take humaira, and methotrexate, and in occasion I get rimicade....(I.v infusion) im13
wow you did so well little girl. I've been taking enbrel since 2006 for Ankylosing Spondylitis, and it's time for me to take it this week, I am 2 days late..I hate the shot so much...watching you gave me courage. I am 29!
i have JRA too but i get cimzia. i started after i was out of school for 2 months due too a flareup. i hope jordan is better now. oh and depending where u live there are some nice JRA camps its alot of fun.
My daughter Abigail is about to start Enbrel after a really bad JRA flareup... she took it about 6 years ago and it worked so well!
She, luckily, doesnt have the eye inflamation, but she is one of the youngest cases of Polyarticular JRA kiddos they have seen... she's had it since 7 1/2 mos.
I think I'll record her tomorrow when we start it and share with your daughter. :) It's good for them to see they aren't alone.
hi! sorry i write english very bad(i'm from hungary), but i'd like to ask something about this injection. This enbrel injection is for spa?(i have this illnes too,and maybe i have to use it, will receive)
Such a very brave girl!! I know very well how much those Enbrel shots hurt. I also used to take the MTX injection. I hope and wish everything turns out well for her. Keep up the good work sweetheart. Much love Amanda
She's on oral MTX too :( She hates it but she knows what can happen if she doesn't take it. She's much rather take the meds and the shot then not be able to run and play again. Hope you're doing good too ♥
She has Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Uveitis. Since this video she's switched medication and is now on Humira doing an injections once every 2 weeks instead of once a week.
why did was her medications switched? I have had JRA since I was 18 mo old now I'm 34 and have been taking the Enbrel for almost 1 yrs. What makes Humira different for her?
she is very brave.. i take it myself for AS or spinal Arthritis. its fantastic as iv tried every other drug for years with very little results.. but now i am much much better. well done to this girl and support of her family.. Kieran. Cork City, Republic of Ireland..
