Christian, you are TOO cute! And you're right about getting back what you 'put out there'. I've found that if I literally claim my returns ' 'for the good of all' I will often get it back 10-fold. You are so upbeat. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
1 when you are making fruit bread add all the dried fruit in later; if you add it in first off it will get all smashed up and you wont be able to find the bits. i did a fair bit a baking with a bread machine when i stuck in the mountains.
2 do you all have freecycle in aus in short if i have an old bike, fire wood in the summer i dont want i will post it on freecycle and then who ever can swing by and get it.
I've got a bread maker that I've had for 5 years now they're great. I've got a jam cycle on mine and it makes a 12oz jar of jam it's very yummy. Mine gets used every other day, sometimes more. If you need the jam recipe let me know and I'll email it to you.
I am looking forward to videos with your new gadgets. If you find a good recipe for sprouted grain or seed bread, I would love to have the recipe and see a video on that. Thanks for giving us The Produce Garden!
We totally believe in what you put out into the world comes back to you and we also love getting those freebie items that you have a mental "wish list" on.
Thanks for putting out so much good help to everyone, hope it comes back to ya.
Nothing beats homemade bread. I've been making my own for a couple of years by hand, it's fairly simple but you need to have the time to do it. That is one very festive looking canning pot!
you won't have any trouble with your bread machine.
Try making cinnamon scrolls: sweet dough, take out of machine roll to rectangle; butter; coat with mix out of food processor of pecans, brown sugar and cinnamon; slice, turn each slice onto side, bake and coat with icing. Yum. can freeze unbaked ones.
Congrats! on your new toys. I'm excited for you. I have both things (except my pot is blue) and I love them both. I try to preserve as much of my food as possible that way I know what I'm eating not all those preservatives and chemicals. Enjoy and have fun.
Darn, I wanted you to open that lid just once more ;} I just got a breadmaker for Christmas myself. LOVE IT! I've made so many things with it. Just this week it was Tortillas, Naan and making cinnamin rolls right now.
There are a TON of recipes for them all over the internet. Seems that you just need to remember to load the ingredients in the order on the instructions that are for your machine (wet then dry, or dry then wet).
Hey great! we got a bread machine lately too! It is a wonderful thing, no more making pizza dough by hand on a saturday night! Did you get the instrucions with yours? If not it would be a good idea to scout around for the book for your machine, and don't be afraid to experiment with bread/water/yeast ratios!
One tip on the bread machine - right after the "punch down" cycle, lift the dough ball out and remove the paddle. Otherwise, it leaves a substantial hole in the end of your loaf.
Do you guys have anything like our freecycle? It's a group that we post things we want or things we have to give that are useable, it keeps things out of the landfill.
Glad good luck is coming your way. I have a canner (pressure canner) but not the bread machine. Im anxious to see how it works. Ummm Banana Bread...LOL
Congrats on your goodies......the orange pot is a "canner"? We dont have them like that on this side of the pond....ours are blue speckled metal but I guess its the same idea ? Very happy for you ! Cheers !!!

What's that orange thing called again? Do you just put it into the sun and it gets hot enough?
