3) Most hunters are stewards of nature. They love their hobby and therefore the animals. They are the first ones that are concerned for the animal population.

4) Thinning out the animals prevents the spread of disease within the population. It also leaves more food for the remaining population making it more healthy.

5) And lastly the universe is hostile. As the man explains, hawks eat the squires. Thats just how it goes. It is not unethical to kill an animal if its death sustains your life.

All you people saying that we are barbarians are idiots.

1) First off eating wild game is far more ethical than eating meat from a factory farm. Those animals exist for one reason and that is our consumption, they are treated like objects and without any compassion. A wild animal is able to roam freely, mate, and do what ever it is that they do.

2) Its far more sustainable. These animals eat food that humans can not. No plastic packaging. No shipping cost. No steroids. No weird chemicals etc.

@dep92 Feel free. There are plenty more reasons why hunting is ethical, but these were just a few that I could think of off the top of my head. Don't get me wrong there are hunters that are unethical(these are the ones that do not follow bag limits and such), but most really are naturalist. I myself would like to be able to say one day that only meat I eat is wild... for the reasons that I stated in my initial response.

The DVD is great. As kids we could quake like Donald Duck, and turns out thats the same kind of sound you need to get the squirrels barking. They have a language, no doubt. The call in the kit helps those that can't "quack", and BTW, the squeal sound also makes the critters real hard to find later, with a major predator supposedly flyin' around. Learning to bark like a squirrel is fun as hell. I've had them come down the tree I was under and get the fur shocked off em.

Scope is easier but you can use no scope as long as you practice.

ya u should do fine.. shoot 'em whith ma .17 cal pelet rifle all the time (no scope) just make shure u practice and can make a clean, ethicle kill. one time i shot one and just paralized its back legs. it ran up a skinny tree and after a while of shooting at it whithout sucessi shook it outa the tree and shot in the back of the head.

i dont use a .22 i use a 12 gague. its way easir to blow a squirrell out of a tree with bird shot
