  • jim the cameraman is awesome...casey is sooo cool....sevam, what do you do for a living...btw, fantastic video series, what are your thoughts on keeping the right elbow close to th body throughout the whole swing...

  • Sevam do you have a flat left wrist?

  • @NikeGolf118 usually yes but it depends on what I'm trying to do with the ball and how I am holding the club. Sometimes I have a bit of a cup at the top in the left wrist.

  • yeah, you can hit it, but can you chip & putt? That is where you score, you know.

  • what were you saying about adding 20 yards at the end of the clip?

  • I love your videos. Reminds me of that you don't need to be on an expensive range to hit balls. The dog shagging the balls is priceless. You ever think of putting up some videos in slo mo and talking through your move. My favorite is the resistance in the left side. You never hear that but I think it is spot on.

Love the Canadian accent and jeans too. Keep it up, we need more golfers like you out there.

  • tell jim to shut up

  • I suggest that you get another cameraman. I understand that he's trying to learn the game, but he keeps talking OVER the golfer, so it just sounds like rubbish! I've always heard that if you're trying to learn something, do twice the listening as you do talking...

  • Nice swing Mike.

    keep posting,

  • Hi, Sevam1 ricky here. How would you know when you have shifted your weight correctly?

  • Nice waterfront land you have there...Is the dog fetching the balls?

  • Nice to hear from you again. I'm glad to hear that you are improving.

That piece of %$#& swing got me to 2 better than scratch. You've only got 10 more to go to get down to that.

  • Sevam's move is one of the best i've seen. I may be in no position to comment, but I don't think you are in any too RyaFinkle. Why dont you post yours so we know what a "good" swing looks like.

  • If you think its so bad, why are you still watching. He combines the two best ball strikers, Ben Hogan and Moe Norman, into the same swing and makes it work really well. You can see the ball in these down the line videos and he hits it dead strait unless he's not trying to. I like what mahiwagangipis said, how about you put your swing on here and we'll all rate it for you. Keep it up Sevam.

  • -is that 300?

    -probably!!! :D

don't you have a driving range? hit some balls there so we can see.

    great move though!

  • the guy hittin the balls is great. he knows a ton. but the cameraman, jim, drives me nuts. im all for teachin people the game and helpin others but he is just really annoying to me

  • How do you mkae the ball fade or draw??

    Please help, thanks.

  • Hey Sevam1 thanks again for the vids, could you possibly post a slow mo of this driver swing like you did the 5 iron,

    Thanks, Hablo - Ireland.

  • Hey Mavesy, looks like you have been hitting a few balls judging by the bareness of the ground!!! JF

  • A few. The Cameraman got the mower out for this little session.

  • Hey man, looks good...have you any plans of playing on Tour? I'm sure you'd make a few bob hitting 300+ yeard drives with such accuracy and you clearly have excellent control and power with your irons, I just hope you can putt half decent..with that ability you could certainly make money playinig some tour if not the PGA tour??

  • Made a typo on my last post. I meant to say "hit the ball with the back of my LEFT" hand. I'm righty.

  • I hit my irons straight; I slice lots with my driver. Looked at my swing on camera; the swing plane's good but clubface is always open on impact.

I'm only starting to try to use a swing thought to imagine I'm trying to hit the ball with the back of my right hand and I'm quite sure it won't help much :P

So how do you go about controlling clubface orientation?

  • What kinda driver were you hitting there? How much loft and stiffness?

  • I'm sorry for being slow getting back to you, but I don't know what the specs on that driver are. It is at Cameraman's house. I know it is a Taylormade. Probably about 3 years old. My dad picked it up in Milwaukee. He borrowed my driver years ago and then gave that one to me to replace it because we were going to play in a scramble and I needed a driver...I'll check out exactly what it is next time I get over to see Cameraman.

    Sevam1

  • simply amazing/ outstanding!

thankyou so much for the fascinating video's you have done.

    2 questions:

-how long have you studied hogan's swing for?

    - the follow through is pretty much "identical" to hogans, does it come naturaly as a result of the swing, or have you just copied it?

your ball striking and swing is a pleasure to watch, do you intend on making more video's?

    regards

  • Started reading 5 Lessons in early 90's. Made my best swings by 96-97. Quit in 99 to pursue other interests. The finish/followthrough is not contrived. It is just a reflection of the motion that preceded it.

i will be making other videos.

  • "aww man"........LOL.....sounds kind of kinki.

Great drive....you make it look so easy...you must have some cheating ways to hit that good.

    Cheers!

  • Stop hitting so many perfect 300+ yarders! Mantis is going to lose it! Can you blame him?!? If I was at the beach watching sevam1 hit balls, I would be too :)
