Sooo pure! Absolute perfection by Johhny Mathis. He comes from a time when you had to have real TALENT to make it in the music industry, unlike the junk...pure crap today that makes millions. A beautiful melody...compelling lyrics and a unique voice and style that is his and his alone. Beautiful song!

Not really, but this song reminds me of my classmate Derek H. I didn't know Johnny Mathis was gay back then but it seems so fitting this Gay man was singing a song that inspired romantic feelings for me, even though that was not the direct purpose.

Thank you so much for this video. I've searched and searched for this song since I only knew a few words but remembered the music. My middle name is Mary and my dad sang a few of the lyrics to me as a little girl and hummed the melody. He'd say, "Mary, don't go." He died last year and how I miss him. I love you Dad.
