  • FLDS members are leaching the USA and Canadian government of tax payers' money by being on welfare, food stamps and tax evasion. Flora Jessop's book opens the door to the inner workings of what she experienced in the FLDS cult. Warren Jeffs should not be given any right to continue to rule the FLDS church from jail. Why is he allowed to rule from jail? This is not right. Authoraties should be fired for allowing a criminal to continue criminal activities.

  • This video got to my heart deeply near the end. I have watched it many times because it is real life stories of real people who are put in situtations where they cannot even speak out to the outside world. We have These Cult groups right here in America that need to follow the Laws of Amercia. Freedom for all people. To have access to the same AMerican Rights we have. Freedom to speak out. America need to realize that children in these groups may have abuse that never gets reported or known.

  • Interesting vid despite the producers' obvious motivation. Too bad the fine folks interviewed couldn't have gone just a bit further and chucked out Christianity entirely...

  • This video started me on my path of Mormon Fundamentalism.

  • Joseph Smith wrote Section 132, of The Doctrine and Convents, now condoning polygamy, which was supposed to be part of the so-called everlasting convent from the Mormon gods to Joseph Smith’s followers. Smith wrote 132 in 1843 but back dated the so-called revelation to 1831. He needed to do the back dating to cover all his extra marital affairs he had been having since 1833, which by 1843 were becoming more known.

  • Living Hope Ministries are a bunch loosers that haven't got anything better to do than attack other faiths - especially the LDS mainstream Their propaganda to use ex - mormons and ex -polygamist to do this in this vid is pathetic.

  • This video is a lie. The mainsteam dicontinued the practice because a revelation was given that, if polygamy didn't cease , those practicing it would be thrown in jail and the church would fail. This is what has happend to apostate groups today - they are being locked up. The mainstream has flourished and will continue to do so because it is true.

  • The Mormon god is nothing more than an exalted man.

April 1844 Joseph Smith taught his followers, "God himself was once as we are now, and IS AN EXALTED MAN...If you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in form-like yourselves…”

(Teachings of The Prophet J.S. compiled by Joseph F. Smith, p345)

This is not in the Book of Mormon, but that is what J.S. taught.

  • (1/2) From its beginning in the 1830’s Mormons have mocked and ridiculed others.

In the Book of Mormon, a fable sacred only to Mormons, the book of 1st Nephi 14:10 "Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil;”

  • (2/2) From its beginning in the 1830’s Mormons have mocked and ridiculed others.

Obvious, the LDS Church claims to be “the church of the Lamb of God.” So according to LDS doctrine the LDS Church, claiming to be the one true church, are the only ones that are Christians. Everyone else belongs to “the church of the devil.”

  • Ive learned that the purpose of polygamy is to build a strong foundation, the very reason why the Lord allowed it at times and once again in early Mormon times. Its not meant to be permanent because the foundation is the most crucial part of any structure. It was a burden on the Saints but help to create one of the healthiest societies in America and one of the most moral. In fact if Joseph was as bad as men claim one cannot to see it in later generations. The evidence is that it was a success.

  • @llewellleo You have clearly been brain-washed.

  • @hortulanus94 Have I, lol. Its hard to face reality, isn't it?!

  • @llewellleo Mormonism also teaches that women receive salvation only through their Mormon husbands, and must remain pregnant for all eternity. True Christianity doesn't undermine women like that. You also believe the BLASPHEMOUS belief that the Virgin Mary really wasn’t a virgin at all but had sex relations with their heavenly father to produce the Mormon version of Jesus Christ. If you REALLY followed the Bible believing that would be a great SIN.

  • @hortulanus94 That is not correct. All good men and woman will be saved, exaltation is a different matter. Marriage is a key in our belief to attaining the highest kingdom specifically eternal marriage. Some of the ideas you present here are strange and definitely not our beliefs, rather your interpretation of what we believe. These are very much your ideas, not ours and let me ad very offensive and blasphemous, vile and we never do talk about such things but you do so openly.

  • @llewellleo Also for your information, there are over one hundred divisions in Mormonism. They conveniently “forget” this while criticizing the many denominations within the body of Christ. Oh and the reason the Book of Mormon has no maps is because there is not one scrap of archaeological evidence to support it!

  • @hortula We consider all other groups apostate and not in any way a part of us, they may not even use our temples but it is like the Church which Christ established originally and from which men broke away creating their own doctrines and corrupting the sweet and simple things. Many have recognized the corrupting influence of paganism on Christianity and the distortions, some have tried to correct these like Martin Luther. It was this that led Joseph to ask the question, which one?!

  • @llewellleo You keep ignoring the fact that History, The Bible, and DNA are in no way compatible with Mormonism. It's very unbiblical to turn away people from your church simply because they're not Mormon. The Bible says to welcome all in and bring in everyone around you into the church of God. According to ex-Mormons the reason non-Mormons are forbidden from entering your temples is because your religion practices Satanic/cultic practices. Satan and his followers is a big deceiver.

  • @llewellleo Isn't it a bit ironic that Mormonism has only been around since the mid 1800s? If God really wanted us to become Mormons he would have "revealed" this earlier.

Mormonism is not of God. The Bible warns us of false prophets like Joseph Smith. Mormonism is completely incompatible with the Bible, History, and DNA. True Christianity IS compatible because it is of God. God makes no mistakes. Man does (such as in the case of Joseph Smith). Remember, Jesus loves you. Come to Him!

  • @missgwendolyn90 I have heard all this nonsense before. How is it not compatible exactly seeing that we live by the principles set out by Christ in the Bible and like the Jews were are a people who are Temple building people. The Bible is one of our standard works. We are not compatible with all the distortions created throughout the ages. We practice all that the ancient church did so I find it sad that people would imagine we are not

  • @llewellleo Be of good cheer and continue in faith. It is written that both good and evil would be spoken of Joseph Smith,Jr. and likewise those that followed the teachings of the Savior. Most of these people are going on what they have heard and never took the time to study the Book Of Mormon.Notice the term false prophet always come up.Who do they follow?Do they think when John wrote his sections that ended the Bible? They never studied Amos or Malachi.Speaking without knowledge and wisdom.

  • @llewellleo Dear Joseph Smith has 33 wives but only sons with Emma. So his marriages were mostly sealings for protection. Unlike Brigham Young, he has children of his different wives. Hasn´t he?

I have a romantic view of Joseph Smith Jr. to be honest.

  • @dorisfenella True, he did not have children with the other ladies. no traces of them have been found so the accusation against him being wild has no foundation. Emma was indeed his only true love and Joseph a gentleman.

  • @llewellleo As a Mormon, I went to a place that Mormons believe is very sacred and holy - namely, the Mormon temple. As a temple Mormon, I participated in occult rituals, which are largely borrowed from Free Masonry. I learned secret occult handshakes, words, and symbols. I had to remind myself every few seconds that the Mormon temple ceremony must be true and of God, because Mormonism was true and of God - so I believed them.

Mormonism is false. History and the Bible prove it.

  • @QuercusSola And did you never , not once feel the Holy Spirit?

  • @llewellleo No I didn't. When I was saved by Jesus after converting to true Christianity I felt free. I felt the love of Jesus. A true sense of peace came over me that mormonism never did to me.

@hortulanus94 is correct. History and the Word of God prove Mormonism wrong. Sorry, but it's true. :) God loves you and will welcome you into his flock. Don't listen to false prophets listen to the Word of God.

  • @llewellleo I think Joseph Smith married to 33 women but he didn´t have sex with all of them. I also think he was kind o a poet. Poets are quite sensitive and they are very few in the world. None poet was a bad person, less a con man. His son David inherited that talent and even made it greater.

  • Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” (John 14:1)

No one ever needed the Mormon Church to have forgiveness of sin, to be in God’s Kingdom, in the presents of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Jesus is all you need

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.“ (Romans 6:23)

  • The end of this brought tears to my eyes & a very sad, burdened heart. I can only hope, wish & pray my heart is worthy of His presence bc I feel like i'm so not worthy. I think about it alot.

  • if they are all married to each other... then can the women shag each other?

  • @PixieHawley lol it works for the polygamists I know...but they aren't Mormon. Just different.

  • When Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon, published in 1830 he wrote that polygamy was not condoned. Then in 1833 Smith started having affairs. The first with Fanny Alger, which Oliver Cowdery called, “A dirty, nasty, filthy affair...” Smith kept having affair and by 1843 it was becoming more known. To cover his misdoings, Smith came up with Section 132 of The Doctrine and Covenants, but he had to back date the revelation to 1831. It turns out the god of Mormons is also a polygamist.

  • I am LDS and I celebrate christmas ! But by watching this video I think it´s not a bad idea celebrate the Birthday of J.S. LOL

  • @dorisfenella Return to the Church. Return to Jesus. Jesus is calling you back. He wants you in His flock. The gospel of Jesus has been around since the 1st Century. Mormonism has only been around since the 1800s. God warned us of false prophets. Come to the light! Jesus loves you! :)

  • @hortulanus94 Which church of the more than 38 000 000 denominations exactly. Mormonism is a restoration of the original Church by the Savior himself. That is what we believe and it is in line with Biblical teachings. LDS.org

  • @llewellleo Mormonism has been proven to be FALSE by 1) DNA, 2)History, and 3) the Bible. Mormons like you are always trying to pretend they follow the Bible. The fact is, you're are blasphemers of God and follow false teachings. Original Christianity was of course no denomination. But Church historians such as Charles Spurgeon have confirmed that early Christians held SIMILAR beliefs to Calvinistic Baptists. Mormonism is a cult, and you are NOT a true Christian.

  • @hortulanus94 It has, well that is news to me because last time I checked Judaic artifacts have been discovered in the Americas and so much more than what you are presenting. It has in no way been proven false, rather that is how some wish it to be. I must say I do not have much time for bigots. We follow the Bible no matter how much you wish to distort this fact and the last time I checked it was a sin to bear false witness.

  • @llewellleo It's really sad that you ACTUALLY believe in Mormonism. I'm not bearing false witness. Joseph Smith was a huge liar and pervert. He was a false prophet. If you had actually looked into the other side of Christianity (which you apparently haven't) you'd find that many of the things Mormonism teaches contradict with the Bible. Mormonism also contradicts with history. It's the plain simple truth.

  • @hortulanus94 I believe in God, He directed me towards His true church, testified to me numerous times trough the Holy Spirit that it is true so I am happy and confident that it is as God says and not man who has his freedom and right to worship as he pleases. To me the testimony I have received through the Holy Spirit is sufficient. In the end it is my Heavenly Father I wish to obey, not men who disagree with what is taught in The Church of Jesus Christ.

  • @llewellleo You believe in a false God, and your ignoring the history that proves your cult wrong. The Bible contradicts with the Book of Mormon. 'nuff said.

  • @llewellleo "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." GA

  • @hortulanus94 I can´t belong to a church that have a form of godliness buy deny the power thereof.

    Philippians 3

20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

  • @hortulanus94 JHON 14: 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

We don´t condemn children under the age of 8 that couldn´t being baptized nor natives that never heard any religion.

  • Why can't the wives bring in Brother Husbands? LOL

  • these are all man made creations not gods idea

  • I wonder why God didn't create more wives for Adam? That wasn't a very good example of creating one woman for one man if God wanted men to have many wives. If anyone needed to populate the earth it was Adam and Eve and God didn't make more then one wife. Man wanting to be a God, that explains it all. He would do anything to be a God.

  • @Kyjo34 That is a VERY insightful point.

  • Whatever works for them I guess. King David had lots of wives and God said he was man after his own heart. I think it is a personal choice, why not let a man have 3 wives if he will treat them good? If a women wants to share her man with other women then why not?

  • Comment removed

  • Nothing wrong with Poligamy ! I would love to have several wives ! the more Pussy the better ! That way if one bitch gets a Headache I can just roll over and fuck the other bitch !! ha ha ha ha I say Bring it back !! Horny men like me need more than one stinken wife to keep the Pecker stiff .

  • What it means to be a husband of one wife is that if your wife dies you do not remarry.

  • @salmcdeck Are you sure about that? Is this you best guess or did you go to Our father for the answer? It's written about a man being alone as well as a woman. If his wife dies he is to re marry than to burn with desire. Likewise for the woman,if her husband dies. I feel you all haven't gone to Our Father in humble prayer.

  • lhvm, I have a question for you to answer. This however is an on question and all answers are welcomed. Polygamy isn't a problem, it's blessed of God under him Law. The Law is what this question is pertained to. You have the Law of Moses or Ten Commandments. You have the Great Flood in the Days of Noah. What Law were the people under to warrant the destruction of man?

  • @cosmicwarrior62 Saying polygamy is blessed by God is utter blasphemy!

  • @hortulanus94 You have accused me of blasphemy,I will accept your unrighteous judgement and continue on in faith.Tell me,under a RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT,how will you fair? You don't know the scriptures, just what someone has told you. Before you reply negatively to anything I post, know for an asurety that you are right. Plural marriages were blessed of God.The corruption in the hearts of man perverted it. Man can't live with one wife without divorce, how can he be bless otherwise?Just think, not reply.

  • @cosmicwarrior62 The IDEAL marriage is monogamous. If it wasn't, then Adam would have had plural wives. Throughout scripture it's very clear that God says that ideally all should be monogamous. You Mormons IGNORE History, DNA, and the Bible's evidence that Mormonism is wrong and false. Maybe you should think about that.

  • @cosmicwarrior62 I do KNOW the scriptures. Mormons DO NOT follow the Bible, though they may so. The Bible contradicts Mormonism in many of the major doctrines. It also says to be against False Prophets that come. Joseph Smith was a false prophet used by Satan to deceive people.

  • @hortulanus94 You did not answer my question and only returned with more personal opinions and accusations. I will not discuss this sacred matter with you.You call us Mormons and I appreciate you singling us out for you railing. Therefore,we must be doing something right to be targeted by so many.Think about it,My Older brother died at the hand of those who said,He blasphemed, when teaching His Doctrine.I follow Jesus Christ not Mormon which makes me and millons like me,Christian. What about you?

  • @lhvm If you upload this video maybe you made it right? Why the subtitle letter ar not clear we can not understand what it says or we don't have to? Was the person that made this video affraid of something? seams like.

  • Rabbi Gershom banned polygamy in the 11th century, and I recently heard of a proposed lifting of the ban. Christianity, at it very roots is a Judaic belief system, implemented by the Savior who was a Jew himself and carried into the world by Jews. Its very foundation is found in the Old Testament the new Testament being a fulfillment. When one accepts Christianity and is baptized, which is also and ancient rite then one becomes an Israelite but only by the correct baptism.

  • This is a really well done video, enjoyed it very much.

  • I'm so glad that I am not part of any church. So much easier to protect my daughters this way. Fuck you patriarchs. It takes a man for a woman to lose her maidenhood, after all.

  • My first husband was raised a mormon. It never was a part of our marriage, but he used to say that we could never be divorced. I only now understand what he meant. He met me at 17, and put holes in the condoms to ensure our marriage when I was 19.

My son is 19 now. We have never been, and will never be, Mormons. My son's father has never remarried officially, but he has been in a strange relationship for a long time.

A psychic told me when I was 20 that we would separate, but remarry

  • We are not embarrassed by our our leaders having practiced polygamy, this is a falsehood. . Why should we be embarrassed ? Abraham, Jacob lived this law. lol . Sandra Tanner, lol,

  • @llewellleo Christians are not living under the old Testament. That's one of the purposes of Christianity, to not be under Jewish law. Non of the diet, not the polygamy, not the ritual animal and other sacrifices. The purpose of the crucifixion is to free you from it, not compel you to it. Christians are to become better Christians, not better Jews. Mormon Polygamy isn't even good Judaism.

  • @IExposeMormonism You are correct. Christians are not under the Old Testament law nor become Israelite, but are under the grace of God.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2: 8-9

Then after salvation, being born again, comes v. 10

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

  • @IExposeMormonism Again agreeing with you, “Mormon Polygamy isn't even good Judaism.”

It is directed in the New Testament,

    “This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, THE HUSBAND OF ONE WIFE, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

Let the deacons be the HUSBANDS OF ONE WIFE, ruling their children and their own houses well.” (1Timoth 3: 1-2, 12)

  • @llewellleo True, but God did not approve of these polygamy marriages. God clearly teaches in the Bible that monogamy is the way to go!

  • @hortulanus94 In fact at times He did for instance King David. He gave David Saul's wives and told him so through Jonathan. If He disapproved He certainly would have not done so. At different times one sees different directions, all with a wise purpose. Nowhere is Abraham condemned, nor Jacob for having more than one partner. They are only spoken highly of not only by the Lord himself but also by those who followed. I believe Polygamy served its purpose and then was removed.

  • There is no peace in polygamy. All this is is a ticket for men to have many sex partners and for each of the wives he has to be submissive and to never contradict what he says. I agree that women should be submissive to a point but so should men. In the case of polygamy, womena re trampled on and expected to wear a smile. This is ridiculous. Joseph Smith lied so many times about so many things. HOW COULD ANYONE FOLLOW HIM??

  • IT TIME WE ARREST ALL MORMON LEADERS AN PUT THEM IN DUNGEONS WHERE THEY AND THEIR SATANIC TEACHING BELONGS

  • "GOOD NEWS"!!

What is the "good news" of Mormonism?

**To keep god's priesthood from black men??

**To marginalize women by threatening them into polygamy? By banning them from the priesthood, from being a bishop, Stake Pres., a G.A.?

**To now marginalize and condemn the homosexual community--to STEAL their right to happiness (Prop. Hate)?

By WHOSE definition of "good news" IS Mormonism?

The "good news" does exists but ONLY by following Christ's number ONE Command--to love one another.

  • @Juggernautishere the Mormon Hierarchy is good at keeping it's minions in pain be it spiritual or physical or mental.

  • At 10:00 minutes, Joseph F Smith is quoted. I posted his little book (I posted it) "Blood Atonement and the Origin of Polygamy", 1907. He says Joe was Killed at Carthage Because of Polygamy! So, everyone there KNEW of Joe's "revelation" "nullifies all non Mormon marriages and contracts", defined "innocent blood" and threatens wives with death for non compliance! Imagine what Joe had in mind for you! This hate filled manipulative cult of Hate and Sex should be illegal. It is past Immoral....

  • @pugdogy, the pedofile approving religion is Islam.

  • @42apostate, what i wrote is exactly what Misty had said. Pay to play? Oh please! And yes, God DID say to give 10% as a priesrhood tithe in the Old Testament which He never recinded. Perhaps further reading of the Holy Bible will help you correctly discern the truth.

  • @paulmarcelrene God never rescinded the 10% tithe? Did he rescind polygamy? Circumcision? What was the purpose of Jesus message? Was it to establish and bigger more bureaucratic hierarchy? In fact ALL the OT is overturned with Jesus. All the ritual animal sacrifice, temples, circumcision and the entire OT Cult is dead to Christianity. The Purpose of Christ is to be moral. NOT to make you a better Jew. Believe it or not.

  • @paulmarcelrene

I don't doubt you have a reference for tithing being a commandment. All I'm saying is that I don't have it and haven't been able to find such. I know it's not in the Ten Commandments. But, maybe you can help me by showing me the passages in OT that show it to be a command. That's all I'm asking. If you don't wanna help, OH WELL!

(I'm familiar with the "windows of Heaven" (Mal 3:10) script but that does not show it to be a command of God.)

  • @TheKangarooGuy

    How about it?

Have you the biblical scripture(s) that show tithing as a "commandment".

Why do you continue to run from this question?

Is it because this is the way your leaders have instructed you to answer question?--to avoid and to distract?--to answer the question I "SHOULD HAVE ASKED"?? Show me that Christ used this methodology in responding to his questioners in the New Testament.

Honestly answer or go your way as I have no interest in entertaining you further.

  • @42apostate

    tithing is never commanded, but:

2 Corinthians 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

  • why do relgious extremist types alway look like walking hypnotised brainwashed robot- me thinks because they are- and I'm not talking about polygamy sects only. Consending adult polygamists should be left alone - it's the secrative societies that need to be exterminated for the abuse of young members

  • big pimpin' ^

  • those flds groups are nuts and make polygamy look bad

  • @dimtry19 The BOM still says that in Jacob 2:28 Concubines are not plural wives. In Jewish law, a concubine was the status of a servant taken by a master as property. It was a forced status. This may be the case in fundamentalism, but was never the case in The Mormons or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Woman were always asked to pray about a marriage proposal and were not asked to enter into plural marriage unless they felt it was what God wanted for them.

  • Might be the only way the White Race can save itself.

  • @robisahottie14

My great Grandfather had a wife who died. He was allowed to take yet another wife to the temple and was married/sealed to her (as was his first wife) FOR TIME AND ALL ETERNITY. IF the 2nd wife had died early he COULD have taken a 3rd, a 4th, a 5th, a 10th wife, and ALL would be his wives in the CK. THAT 'S THE DEFINITION OF POLYGAMY!!

You LDS certainly do believe in polygamy--AND YOU PRACTICE it--except for the living together.

  • Being raised Mormon, I always had issues with the Church and their past that they obviously hid. I am so glad to be away from it now, and lead a much happier life!

  • God loves these precious women so much I hope they all come to Him and I would like them to read the verse John 3:16 In the Bible.

  • Some maintain that JS was murdered because he had plagiarized Masonic rituals for his basis of Morman rituals.

Is thee any mythology about what all these gods & godesses are doing out in the universe? Do the gods of their own universes (out there) ever come in contact with each other after death? Any conflicts?

  • The church used to be that they could hide facts that did not reflect well on Joseph and the church, and libel those who attempted to publish it. Today this information and it sources is widely available and even acknowledged by LDS historians. Instead of allowing the church to evolve, the brethren are taking a hardline stance. They are tightening their grip to keep the members in line. The church is not handling the information age very well. They need to let it evolve or it will slowly die.

  • BORING

  • Comment removed

  • I feel so bad for all these good people, I'm so happy you found God(The true God who say's ,"come unto me for I am love".

I wish you all the best and lot's of love

  • These poor women, I feel so bad for them. God will make sure they are well taken care of in heaven. There is still hope for His daughters, a hope for love, a hope for peace.

  • If Fundamentalist Mormons truly knew anything about God then they would know in their hearts that polygamy is adultery and adultery is a sin. It is evil and degrading to women. Polygamy is just an excuse for men to satisfy their unquenchable lust.

To become gods? That is like the worst manifestation of sinful pride and vanity ever! There is only one true God and He can have no equals. Only He must be worshipped.

  • The law of polygamy is an Eternal Law. You cannot have a full restoration of ANYTHING without ALL parts being restored. After this principle was restored, the gov. of the United States warned the church if they did not stop, that the church would be prosecuted. The Father, for now, resended the practice of polygamy to preserve the Saints of God, as is His right. It should also be stated that it polygamy is not a free for all. It was a calling. U did not pick your own wife. Many were old too.

  • @HvensFury IT is not ok for pedophiles to hide behind what they call their religion. it is not ok to keep women in virtual modern day slavery, abuse children emotionally, physically, financially and sexually and to spout that it's alright because this is our religion. it is not ok for the united states government to have closed their eyes to the practices of the flds church. It is not ok for the flds church to be robbing the tax payers through welfare abuse.

  • so 1 of god 's important revisions he told Joseph Smith was get that pussy hahahahaha im lovin this. Man, i think the 10 commandments spell it out pretty clear, get a clue mormons.

  • Sorry mormons god didnt choose a dude fuckin a 15 yr old and settin newspaper press on fire to be a prophet i think he couldve found someone alittle more worthy..... Sucks for the polygamist kids though doubt any of em go mono cuz theyve been brainwashed, w/e if theyre happy let it be.

  • its speaks in the bible of profits having more than one wife and it is their life if they chose to live by the bible they should have more of it going on and they should leave people alone they are not hurting anyone

  • @1400deadwood pagans precticed polygamy as well depending on the region. Also I should point out that all religons are guilty. These poor people are looking for a hidden friend, not to be free but to be slaves to a new master. Freedom comes when one embrases no god or gods, athesim is the answer.

  • Well. Proud to be Celtic Pagan and be a part of what is right for me! :)

  • So how can Moroni be an angel when he was supposedly a man? Mormons have always taught in a progression to Godhood. Do you become an angel first before becoming a God?

    Not adding up ...

  • @FAITHandLOGIC Yes, obviously! Don't you know anything? Angels are men and women, and so are gods, the difference is their stage of progress.

  • @performanceconcept Show me in the Bible where man becomes an angel after death.

Better yet, show me in the Book of Mormon or other LDS doctrine where Angels are a step between man and Godhood.

    Much appreciated.

  • @IndigoCharlie Amen Brother Charlie

  • @robisahottie14 No we are not.

  • @BipedalHumanoid Who would want even ONE nagging wife. The whole point is to marry the right person.

  • @HisLovelyLadyAnne you`re talking about the old testament, and you're right, the thing is im not sure mormos follow that, i think they rewrote the genesis.... so for them that argument doesn't apply.

  • @nauj325 Yes, we do follow everything in the Bible, Old and New Testament, using the KJV.

  • Polygyny is God's gift to humanity ~ monogamy is pagan

  • @1400deadwood The dictionary is God's gift to you

  • @Doorway2Chaos ~ the Bible indicates wives are gifts to men from God. Maybe for Christmas God will send me seven wealthy wives!

    :)

  • @1400deadwood Wouldn't the same gift over and over every year get boring?

  • @Doorway2Chaos ~ not if each comes to you with a large dowry.

    :)

  • @Doorway2Chaos

If you are referring to 1400deadwood's use of the word "polygyny" in your criticism, be aware that the word IS legit. YOU are the one that needs the gift of a new dictionary...

  • Isaiah 4:1 one man - seven wives

  • @HisLovelyLadyAnne well, too bad the adam and eve story is not true. also, the bible is very pro-polygamy.

  • wow just wow

  • awesome ..... the grace of Christ.... thanks for making this!!!

  • @Notasheep187 Well I suppose that's a compliment so thank you.

  • Sandy Tanner is a lying whore.

  • @Notasheep187 Its not a lie

  • We all have a desire/need/yearning for Truth. To me Truth is Love and Respect and Peace, which has nothing to do with man-written bibles and man-created gods. How sad that people give up on the power of their own hearts and brains and instead pour it all into ridiculous books (bibles, qurans, etc.) of violent, fear mongering fictions written by MEN.

I loved this documentary, it is very well made and quite fascinating -- I was greatly disappointed though @ the end & the switch to christianity.

  • @HisLovelyLadyAnne Im not sticking up for Mormonism or polygamy here but Adam also took Lilith as a second wife. A story that is not in the bible and has been deleted from the original book of Genesis. Look it up! Polygamy is wrong I agree but check your history

  • @keys4ever2 Actually Lilith was his first wife and in the story God created Eve after Lilith refused to submit to Adam.

  • so most of them went from one brainwashing cult to another? nice improvement. :l

  • "THE HUSBAND OF ONE WIFE" is much more accurately translated as simply "an overseer should be married" There is actually no implication that he should be limited to only one wife. In the event that the one wife translation is accurate, why would they need this command unless polygamy was commonly practiced? Why then didn't Jesus clearly condemn it if it is such a detestable practice? The monogamy only Christian doctrine is simply a false doctrine resulting from the Roman era.

  • @Scarecrow3710

    He DID condemn it!

If you are LDS check out Jacob 1:15 and Jacob 2:24 (read the whole chapter).

If you're not LDS, great! Stay that way...lol!

  • @Scarecrow3710

Apply that same logic to homosexuality. Jesus never condemned it even though he had ample opportunity. He condemned liars, adulterers and hypocrites. Why not the homosexual? Could it be that they are born with an attraction to same sex rather than it being a matter of "choice"? If it IS a "choice", at what age did you choose to be hetero (if you are)? I don't remember EVER making that kind of choice!

If HE didn't condemn it why should "His Church"?

  • @Scarecrow3710

One of the reasons He "didn't condemn it" was that of "Free Agency". YOU GET TO CHOOSE!

Since He HAD "condemned it" already in the scriptures cited above, why would you think He needed to repeat himself? Since you didn't see those Jacob scripts mentioned in the vid. tells me CLEARLY that you never bothered to view it, did you? Instead, you just want to jump in and argue. And argue IGNORANTLY right in the face of the FACTS!

  • @42apostate

I guess you missed these verses:

2 Chronicles 24:2-3 And Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest. Jehoiada got for him two wives, and he had sons and daughters.

  • @Scarecrow3710

    Just 3 points to make:

    1. Mormonism teaches in it's doctrine at Article of Faith # 8 that the Bible is not to be trusted.

    2. Mormonism teaches in it's "most correct book on the face of the earth", the Book of Mormon, @ Jacob 2:24 and Jacob 1:15 that polygamy is "wicked"--which includes David and Solomon & others.

    3. I, personally, don't care how many wives a man has as long as all are adults--UNLIKE

Joseph Smith and Warren Jeffs did in marrying teenagers/other men's wives.

  • @Scarecrow3710

As a good and faithful Mormon, which book would you tend to follow in cases like this where there seems to be a conflict in doctrine?

Also. Where is the taking of other (LIVING) men's wives justified in the scriptural record?

Now. Do something different! VIEW THE VIDEO!!

All the arguments are there and dealt with more than adequately.

  • @42apostate

    Did you see that?

    Joash had two wives.

Jehoiada was a priest in the temple of the LORD while the Ark of the Covenant resided in the Holy of Holies. Jehoiada got these two wives for Joash.

Joash DID WHAT WAS RIGHT IN THE EYES OF THE LORD ALL THE DAYS OF JEHOIADA.

Polygamy was not sinful in the Old Covenant and God didn't change His mind and make it sinful in the New Covenant.

  • @Scarecrow3710

Didn't make it sinful in NT?

Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery." (NIV Matt 19.8-9, pp. Mark 10.1-12) Let me repeat it: "MARRIES ANOTHER WOMAN COMMITS ADULTRY".

Romans 7 If wife marries another man while husband is still alive, she's an adulteress.

  • @42apostate

It is sinful to divorce a woman without grounds in order to REPLACE her...that is adultery because you force her into a broken covenant, just as it is adultery for a woman to do the same (see Mat 5:32 also). If you examine those passages without your monogamy goggles on you will see what Jesus was actually teaching. It is never sinful anywhere in the scriptures for a man to have more than one wife.

    P.S. I am a non-denominational Christian (reformed Calvinist) - never been a Mormon.

  • @Scarecrow3710

Not LDS? Then we have nothing to discuss as I agree with you, at least in theory.

With a bit of a stretch it CAN be said that polygamy was never condemned by Jesus Christ. At the same time it cannot be said that polygamy was EVER commanded or "allowed". Just because some notable "prophets" practiced it does NOT infer that God approved. If that were the case, Lot's incest with his daughters could also be used as an excuse to practice incest, since God seemingly "ALLOWED" it.

  • @Scarecrow3710

Since it's likely that polg'y was neither commanded NOR condemned, it then begs the question, why practice it? It has no advantages (other than to satisfy lust)--and MANY disadvantages, as this vid shows. Surely, God in his infinite wisdom, would have had many wives for Adam and Noah--the ONLY TWO times, biblically speaking, that it would have made any sense. He didn't!

Seems you are arguing FOR Joseph S. AND Warren Jeffs polygamous doctrine...? Why? Just for fun?

  • @42apostate

Well there are actually two places polygamy is commanded. In one (OT) case a man is to take his brother's wife if he dies to father children, the other (NT) Paul commands that if a woman leaves her husband she should remain single or be reconciled to her husband - the husband is not commanded to remain single and if he married another he would still be obligated to reconcile with his first wife if she returned. There are numerous advantages to polygyny - building family is why.

  • @Scarecrow3710

Nice twist of meaning. The man is to take his brother's wife. Yeah. But where does it indicate that the man taking "his brother's wife" is currently married. You are "adding to" Biblical script in order to make an invalid point--as you also attempt to do with Paul. Both cites require an unrealistic twist to make them work the way you WISH they would.

Building family??--you mean like it did for those in this video? Nice try...

  • @42apostate

Since the marital status in either verse is NOT specified you would be the one twisting scripture to insist that in both instances the men could not be married. The fact remains that in both cases a married man could potentially be commanded to take an additional wife.

What makes you think every polygamous marriage is identical? That kind of logic would lead me to condemn every monogamous marriage. The individuals involved in any kind of marriage determine its character.

  • @Scarecrow3710

    Not me.

If it doesn't SAY they are married, then the ONLY choice is to say they WERE NOT!!

    "COULD...BE COMMANDED"?? ROTFLMAO!!!

"The individuals involved in any kind of marriage determine its character."

    DUH...

  • @42apostate

It does not specify one way or the other which allows for both. In the case of taking a dead brother's wife to father children it doesn't matter if he is married or not it is still his responsibility. In the NT situation the woman is commanded to remain unmarried (not to take a new husband) the man is not commanded so. Therefore it is possible that he would take another wife and at a later time the first wife become reconciled to him.

  • @42apostate Ok, I think you two have to take into account that back in the day, women did not have options. They could not just go out and work. But now they can, making everything easier for everyone. I know this is probably just a fun thought experiment, but at the same time, I think most of these rules were put in place back in the day just because it was easier on the women. Now, women can work and care for themselves. And there's even life insurance! Really, who cares?
