The driver, Maurice Fabietti is my brother in-law. Importantly, he is fine and that's all that matters. I was at Mildura with the whole team on the weekend and as much as it seems odd, people love the thrills and spills of drag racing, including the crashes and this class has plenty of that. These cars produce 3000 horsepower and that is often more than enough to cause what happened to Maurice. Thanks for posting the video Wombatboys.
i was there i missed crash tho as i was helping in pits all i heard was a bang and cheering thanks for posting i was prett pissed i missed coz i wanted to know what happened
maybe they were cheering cos he missed the other car did you ever think of that. But on the other hand its always good to see somthing exciting happen. I bet you look at a crash as you drive past. Its human nature mate.
@sooksandsimba . If I see a crash I stop and help..Being around drag racing most of my life I know how much time and money is involved in building and maintaining a vehicle so when one has a crash I dont cheer, I am more concerned about the drivers health and his repair bill.

Good vision. Big accident though, glad Maurice is okay. He moved a fair chunk of that wall. Lucky there were no photographers standing there.

no worries, i think everyone is glad he is ok, shame about the 40k odd repair bill though ! As you say thats dragracing - take the good with the bad.
