people often think of Laurence Juber for his unique acoustic fingerpicking work, but his electric guitar skills are equally wonderful as proven here. among all the guitar stars at the event, LJ was chosen to do the solo. he was always underrated in Wings compared to some other Wings members.
With all the rock heavyweights onstage, it's WINGS lead guitarist Laurence Juber who gets the biggest musical moment with the "Rockestra", as his solo on "Let It Be" is that rare combination of technique and soul that sends chills up your spine...
@accordionreid I met Laurence several times and one time asked him how the solo fell to him, and his reply was (Paraphrasing) " I played the solo every night on the WINGS tour, so it was simply force of habit !"
McCartney`s my idol, but I bet he`s kicked himself for not havin a Beatles reunion here. Looks like it woulda been the last chance...................................
Do you see him in any part of the concert at all then? He was the best drummer there IMO and a BIG name in rock at the time, so I would've thought they would have shown him at least a few times somewhere.

One of the greatest rock-singers in the entire world. Paul is the best.

imo the very best version of this title performed ever!
he has so much power in his voice...seems he can touch the sky with the high notes. i love paul and his pure performace.
