@BKPRODUCTI0NS Yes DotA was out LOOOOOONG before LoL was created. But technically DotA was a mod of Warcraft III. LoL was created as a stand alone project, years after DotA became popular, some of Blizzards code writers and designers left Blizzard for certain reasons and Riot Gaming Inc. scooped them up for LoL. DotA 2 was announced a year or two ago, and will be a stand alone game now as well.

Some knowledge for all you kids, DotA was a Warcraft 3 Map called, Defence of the Ancient's, which was the first of this game type. The creator's of DotA split up and some made HoN and some made LoL, in other words HoN/LoL are copies of DotA created on there own platform to make an income as DotA has no source of income.

@The18avp By the way, DotA came long before LoL and yes, LoL copied character designs from DotA. Blitzcrank is a variation on Pudge from DotA, and Nocturne is a variation on Spectre. Just a bit of trivia for you, child.

I'm sure there's tons of people who haven't played Dota 1 that will like this game. You don't need to be a "loyal" fan of a game, to like the sequel. And I certainly don't think they're making Dota 2 solely for people who played, and supported, the first one. I'm sure they're aiming for a much larger audience as there are lots of people that didn't play the first.

And I LOVED PS2 way more than Xbox, but prefer Xbox 360 over PS3.

Yes, i totaly agree with you. DotA is the first game (or map, whatever) of it's kind. But all i wanted to say is that DotA2 (the game) came out after HoN and LoL, and so it seems to me that they have stolen the graphics, the physics engine.. or maybe they are just similar, and we can go on with our fucking lives. ;)

The maker of LoL was in part of making the DotA with IceFrog.. They were in an arguement and the maker of LoL decided to quit on DotA and started to make his own Game the LoL.. So HoN and LoL Respect the DotA system they TOOK it from DotA and not DotA took it from them..
