    A common question, especially for children. No, and they don't bite either. They are usually hard to approach, so it is not possible in that way either. A few may be quite docile, resting in your hand for instance. They do have parts at the end of the abdomen that may resemble a bee or wasp stinger, but those are for mating only. They eat only insects, so should be welcomed.
