i love the sonic franchise but i believe that they're running out of ideas at sonic team. Before any of you go off the hinges let me explain, its all been the same graphics basically for more than 5 years and in the games you basically do the same thing, either getting chaos emeralds or fighting eggman, but whenever you do fight him its the same routine to get a hit... And its him a sword now, sonic's awesome just being the fastest thing alive! I love sonic unleashed it had the old sega feeling

Wolf is like Shadow in that he almost looks exactly like the main character sans clothes and fur color, has similar abilities/technology (although Shadow has some unique attacks), and they are both anti-hero counterparts. The best thing that Wolf has got going for him are his taunts in Brawl where he acts like a real wolf.

Wario has his powers, greed (in a good way), character design, and games.

Panther should replace Wolf, because Wolf could easily be an alternate costume for Fox.

Wario doesn't use fart attacks or attack with his Wariobike in the Wario games. And Wolf does have some bite attacks in Brawl. While Wario uses a laser gun in Master of Disguise, he can at least put up a fight without a weapon. Outside of Smash, Wolf, Fox, and Falco couldn't even put up a fight at all without their weapons and vehicles. I'm pretty sure that Snake does hand-to-hand combat in his games and that Samus with her super human athleticsm could defeat just about any normal human.

The different between Wario and Wolf's bite attacks is that Wolf is...well...a wolf. While Wario is a human (or so we shall assume) and Fox has shown combat skills without his blaster (starfox adventure) just don't forget that those games are based around vehical combat.

Also, Fox and the gang don't base their entire fighting styles around their weapons. They are more like afterthoughts. the majority of their moves are unarmed.

Fox was still pretty useless weaponless in Adventure. Why I don't like Wolf is because he lacks originality. In 64, he was just an evil version of Fox. In Assault, Wolf became a Shadow wannabe. And Star Wolf lacks any weapons that can't be compared to Star Fox's.

Wario has abilities that are different from Mario such as the shoulder charge, super strength, corkscrew jump, pile driver, and the ability to use stuff that would be normally harmful to his advantage.

Being flashy and cool-looking isn't everything. While I would of preferred a Wario Land Wario, a farting, Wario Ware inspired Wario is still much better (and more dignified) than some third-rate, low-budget character who's entire special moveset are modified versions of Fox's. Wolf's Final Smash is pretty much a repainted Landmaster with some minor differences.

Like I said before, Wario doesn't fart in the Wario Land games. Wolf never had anything original about him in the SF games.
