  • Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for giving "smetlogik" a new nickname :-)

  • awesome!

  • Thank you Mr. Paterson! Good to hear from you. I hope all is well!

  • wait but i know i spell genuses wrong sorry about that actually i knew about kings already i was just amazed because i have seen those snakes occasionally eat other snakes. its very rare , from what i know but ive seen and read about it i guess they are more concerned with hibernation than feeding.

  • yeah the latin can be a real pain in the ass, especially since it's constantly changing. To my knowledge, neither bullsnakes nor rattlesnakes eat other snakes... to my knowledge. Plus, you're right about about them being concerned about hibernation. Most species stop feeding before they hibernate. Thanks again.

  • ok then guess youre right maybe the ones i saw were exhibiting unusual behavior anyway thanks for the info

  • Okay, this was seriously one cool video! I love how the first viridis just barges his way out. And Bill Withers. Dude. Nice.

  • Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. You know your Crotalus species i see...

  • i don't know why this is thumbs down, he's right. check the "more info".

  • i know! you can see that there are rattlesnakes in there anyway! this is so stupid

  • Sometimes people are jerks for no reason. Of course those are rattlesnakes - Crotalus viridis to be exact. Thanks for your comment.

  • youtube junkies! lol

  • Holy shit they are cute! That is so cool Joe, awesome footage

  • Thanks Brandon. Only you would call a pit viper cute.

  • Well they are, big heads with big eyes. And little bodies. And the bull was cute to. And yeah I think those rating thumbs should be taken off.

  • that is amazing

another thing ime curious about is why dont the snakes try to kill each other? ive been researching with no results especially with ophiphaugous snakes. theres like black rats rattlers and bulls usually right? ive never seen any other species

  • Why would they try to kill each other? I presume you were searching for king cobras and the reason you didn't find anything is because you have the genus spelled wrong - it's "Ophiophagus". I'm not sure what you are trying to ask regarding the rats, rattlers and bulls.

  • Very cool video. Glad you had enough battery to get all that lol.

  • Weird...wonderful stuff.

  • Just figured out the song... nice touch. whooped I say, whooped.

  • guilty as charged...

  • Thanks Jake! I hope all is well.

  • That is Sick!

  • Let's go there together in the spring and see if they made it through the winter alive. I believe this is the first documented rattlesnake den at the park. I always thought they went west to the hogbacks to hibernate, then migrated back into the park in the spring.

  • You know I'm down for that!

  • Holy crap! Incredible!!

  • thanks joe! ... as always :-)

  • that was great joe, thanks for sharing.

  • thanks matt!

  • Roomies! Nice find joe, snow is going to fly here soon. : /

  • Great! I love the snow, the darkness, the cold, the lifeless landscape... yay for winter! I hope spring never comes.

  • dude, you need to get a girlfriend for the winter.

  • Looking back, I'm amazed i made it through most of my life without the benefit of your well thought out suggestions.

  • He has a girlfriend for the winter, thanks for looking out though! :-)
