Nice, just added 2 motors to the boom & IR to mine, but it really needs a third linear actuator and motor for the bucket doesn't it?you have the control to a degree, but it's not quite there. Given you have to have a spare channel (2x Boom, 1x Rotate, 2xDrive) it should be possible to add another there, though you'd probably need a direct attached M to a actuator with some cable running up the boom which isn't so neat.
@cyberprog You are right, but the real problem is that the actuators gets tighter on heavy load, this means that their power is limited. I had to make the boom shorter to make it able to shovel some sand. By the way, driving in the sand with the tracks is a NO-NO, they get stiff.

I've rebuilt recently the 8848 after 25 years!! It's tiny and small compared to new sets but it's still a masterpiece!! Lego never gets old!!!

Lol, the 8043 coming later this year has twin actuators on the main arm, and one on the bucket according to the drawings seen so far.
If you look at the ramblings about the rc bulldozer, I'm told the addition of small elastic bands on each track gives extra grip.

Nice video from my brother, and I can see there is an old lego model as well...you need to install RC contol in the truck :-)
