Nice Torino too, I got a 74 2dr, with a second window on the side. I can't do the stripe. lol & mine won't do the burn out, it'll just throw ya inda back seat as it steadily grabs the road.. It moves out quick..
Not even close to 500 horsepower man. I would say somewhere between 300 and 350. If you were in a high gear different story, but I doubt the rear end ratio would play with that much power. My late model (November or December) 69 Chevelle with the SS454, just tap the pedal and watch smoke pour from the rear wheels. Same deal with the Z06 Corvette. Sweet ride though one of the very few Ford's I like.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...youre right though, not 500 ponies, i dont hear a cam any bigger than 216 duration@.050, dont come to Seattle, with nothing less than 250 son learn it
Respect all muscle cars... moron. My father and I have a 1971 Ford Torino GT. However, he and I both agree the 1968 Dodge Charger is a great car. In fact, we plan on buying one. That being said, stop being a fanboy. Makes you look like a bitch. As do the 2 other people that agreed with you.
I thought the 76 didn't come in that body style. Figured by then, the Ford Elites with the goofy opera windows were rolling around. THIS body style ended around 73-74... didn't it?

cant wait to get my licence in 2 years :) exept cant get my dream torino coz of john howard the puff he made a law that you cant get a v8 or supercharged car until youve got your full licence which for me is in 4 yrs :(
omly stock mustangs i would of bought a corvette but they all had alot of miles and there was this mustang already procharged and had 350 rwhp not just hp so i got it and upgraded it
NICE. I have a '74, and it has 1st stage mods on it. The rebuilt 4oo ci. in it can do a street burn-out too, with alittle effort. I was using a 4 banger for a couple of weeks, till finally I got back in driving my Torino again (YES!). I kind of forgotten how much power I had at my disposal. At a stop sign a dork behind me had the nerve to pop his horn because he must've been in a rush or something. With that, I hit the pedal to MOVE OUT, only to BURN OUT on him . OOPS. That ROCKED BIG TIME!
@hankyhoyo ive got a 70 Torino 429 Cobra jet "Twister Special." all original. 66k. original paint, original engine. 3.50 rear end. only 13 left. It chirps em in 3rd w/ no problem. actually i have 2. one needs to be fixed up. Wana buy one? It's FOR SALE!
We followed an Edelbrock build sheet for a similar build that created 469 RWP. We added better heads, a better carb, and much better Keith Black hypoeurotheric pistons with Cobra Jet 429 rods.
Anyone dissing on a 74-76 Torino should think twice about what they're saying. Go watch "Starsky and Hutch" the movie and come back and tell me that isn't a bad ass car. I have a 75 torino, it rocks shop.

ive seen cars shred the rear wheels and make smoke with no point at all.
at takeoff, tyres shred, smoke appears, and car launches.. Now that's a burnout
