Bailey had the only comparable top end to what Bolt has now. He didn't have the start that Bolt has....probably #2 of all time.....pretty good spot to be in....
Greene had a better top end speed than Bailey in fact. It seems to be popular knowledge that bailey did because of his disproportionately slow start. But when broken down into 10m segments. Calculations show that Maurice Greene has both a higher Top speed as well as finishing speed. (10m /0.82s= 12.2 m/s)
Exports? First of all, they weren't all Jamaican, and second they all grew up in Canada. As for staying put - about 20% of Jamaicans live in Canada, so I'm sure we'll see more blazing up the track.
@ziontrain1971 Surin was from Haiti and Gilbert was from Trinidad & Tobago. Only Emsie and Bailey were born in Jamaica and besdies that, both lived the majority of the time in Canada. Hell, Sanya Richards lived in Jamaica for more of her youth than either of these guys did.
LUCKY....!!!.almost fumbled the 2nd change

isn't that who runs for every country?? I don't see many whites running in this event. If you go back... you can take the lineage back to Africa ...
