  • LUCKY....!!!.almost fumbled the 2nd change

  • Bailey had the only comparable top end to what Bolt has now. He didn't have the start that Bolt has....probably #2 of all time.....pretty good spot to be in....

  • @Eddieshack67

Greene had a better top end speed than Bailey in fact. It seems to be popular knowledge that bailey did because of his disproportionately slow start. But when broken down into 10m segments. Calculations show that Maurice Greene has both a higher Top speed as well as finishing speed. (10m /0.82s= 12.2 m/s)

  • man bailey really had KILLER LEGS!!!!

  • Jeez! I think its the first time i ever see anyone win from the 8th lane lol! GO CANADA GO! WE OWNED THE TRACKS!

  • Yeah if you hand off even and Donovan Bailey gets the stick its all over! Noone in the world was faster in '97 he was the man.

  • Ok correction Maurice Green was faster but its up in the air on the fly for the 4th leg they were so close it could have went either way.

  • no more jamaican exports for you guys. They are staying put in JA.

  • Exports? First of all, they weren't all Jamaican, and second they all grew up in Canada. As for staying put - about 20% of Jamaicans live in Canada, so I'm sure we'll see more blazing up the track.

  • @ziontrain1971 Surin was from Haiti and Gilbert was from Trinidad & Tobago. Only Emsie and Bailey were born in Jamaica and besdies that, both lived the majority of the time in Canada. Hell, Sanya Richards lived in Jamaica for more of her youth than either of these guys did.

  • we were lucky to see these canadians in there prime

  • wish this vid was in better quality

  • lol I miss when our country was good like this in the sprints. A class team!

  • Did Britain get the bronze and who was running for them?

  • Yes we did, walker and Golding did the 3rd and 4th legs. Not sure on the other 2.

  • I know this is old but I just saw the question now.

Darren Braithwaite ran 1st & Darren Campbell on 2nd.

  • who were the commentators?

  • ET DE ME lol

  • Donovan Bailey was a beast back then

  • canadian track will probs never be as good again

  • fuck brunie surin was sopposed to be good but he got injured

  • Were there any other countries taking part? I couldn't tell from the coverage.

  • Nigeria in front..BUT DONAVON BAILEY IS FLYING!! and Canada wins..

    loved that call

  • does anyone have the 4x100m final video from 1995 ?

  • bailey beast as well canadian teams

  • all running for Canada are West Indians

  • isn't that who runs for every country?? I don't see many whites running in this event. If you go back... you can take the lineage back to Africa ...

  • Those were the last of the glory days of Canadian track

  • @krazytea

    Sadly, you're right :(

  • @krazytea you are right, those were the last days of glory of canadian track.

I guess it is because jamaicans decided to start competing for their own country.

  • daaaaaang bailey was hawkin everybody on that last leg
