@nymamae a lot of the music corporations keep pushing that mainstream stuff because it sells. True music like this tends to be too serious for most people. The fact is a lot of people just see music as something in the background or something to dance to. Very few people actually pay attention to the lyrics of hip hop and music in general. Mainstream audiences just want a catchy hook and a good beat. It annoys the hell out of me. We need to support true artists like WRETCH a change this

@stealthkid1324 incorrect. There are many people who don't listen to the radio at all and only listen to underground hip hop. I'm one of those people and there are whole forums online dedicated to deep hip hop and really analyse every line. The true heads know. It tends to be kids from age 4 to say 19 who just see rap as pure entertainment. But there are people who know hip hop is much more than that.

@omdway my comment was aimed at kids who are aged from 10+ who just listen to it because it sounds cool. Sure you enjoy it because of the lyrics and the meaning , but saying that we should support it because of that wont change a thing. You find it annoying well that's because 50% of the people on youtube are probably young. Im not saying that you shouldn't persuade people to listen to it for the meaning, but just realise that most people on here wont see it like you and others do.

Sure the youngsters like whatevers on the radio coz it's fresh and fun but i've got younger cousins who i will be introducing to the vintage jazz-soul-based hip hop of the 90's later in life.
