You forgot to mention about how the song in the trailer is taken from the 70's live-action Filmation series "The Ghost Busters".
It's significant to Ghostbusters because the similar name between the two resulted in a lawsuit that caused the cartoon version of the TV series to be called "Filmation's Ghost Busters", while the cartoon version of the movie became "The Real Ghostbusters".

The Ghost Busters song in the trailer is the theme to a live action show from the 70's that starred Larry Storch and Forrest Tucker. I believe they also sang the song.
