The Woo-Woo's aren't just classy, pretty and talented. They are also very smart as well. Some of these girls have gone on to become Miss. VSU and become members of AKA and DST. They do allot of community work as well and are known all throughout Virginia, Maryland, DC and other states as well. Its a big honor to become a member of this SQUAD. Hundreds of girls try out for only a few spots each year.

good luck!! i had a lot of friends try out and some made it and others did not. I'm going to be honest it's not about just talent. Dr. Johnson has been the coach for decades and is very particular about the girls she chooses.

I'd say size is factor.. In my highschool no matter how big you were if you could keep up you could be on the team.. and that is just not so here at State which is not a negative thing neccesarily. and i quote "if you don't look good in the uniform you won't be in it". If your too skinny it's the same thing. There are a certain amount of uniforms in certain sizes when someone graduates or whatever and a uniform becomes available if you can't fit in that uniform you're out of luck from jump.

AT VSU its just not cheerleading. These young ladies are looked upon very highly and regarded as well. They do allot of work in the community and are WELL KNOWN. They pride themselves as productive citizens and well respected young women of VSU. These girls are the CREAM OF THE CROP on campus and everyone wants to be a WOO WOO

Everyone thought it was funny because we all know what kind of standards Dr. Johnson hold these girls up too. Woo Woos are expected to look, act and be ladies at all time.
