  • 3-5 two times a week? emmm i thought that made ur hair even drier washing it that much? cause it washes out natural oils that ur scalp makes.

  • yeahh thats what im saying. your hair craves natural oil.

  • they sell them at walgreens, brand name scuncii, they also have them at dollar general them better

  • i bought some of those ponytail holders, and i love them! i hated the metal and glue ones cuz they always rip my hair, stretch out and pop, mine are, i think Scunci brand, in a pack of 12, and ive been using only 2 for months because they hold so well, i only looked for those after seeing this video, so thank you girl!!

  • I hate to say it again (cause it has been said) but you are cute

  • do you have any pictures of when your hair was shorter?

  • Do you ever use cornrows or micros as a protective style

  • you are very pretty. do you like nude make up? anyway, the video is very very helpful, thanks

  • walgreens carries them, the brand name is Scuncii no damage

  • wat about ppl with shorter hair

  • where did you buy the ponytail holders that look/feel like pantyhose?

  • YOU ARE GEORGOUS>> (:

  • Why do you wash your hair 3 times a week? Just curious?

  • a clean scalp promotes hair growth. Many black women usually wash their hair once or twice a week.

  • But isn't that bad for black hair? I mean that's what we have been taught right? Once a week or once every two weeks is how often I know we should wash our hair. I do not know... so I am always learning.

  • Sweetie, I've been told that for years that it's bad for black hair. Black hair is of course naturally dry, but if we wash our hair with moisturizing/natural shampoos with NO sulfates and deep condition at least once a week and moisturize and seal everyday then we will definitely be fine. Giving our hair moisture is the true key to retaining and longer length.

  • Yeah my hair is DEFINITELY dry! And I have tried products that claimed to moisturize but did absolutely nothing... So I am still on the quest to finding super moisturizing products and actually do what they say they will...

  • I use Wave Nouveau! i love it so much and a little goes a long way. It's an excellent water-based moisturizer.

  • try biolage, it's fantastic.

get as much of the product as you can

  • I wash my hair almost everyday in the summer... I live in the desert. I have no issues with dryness and my hair is naturally dry dry dry. I massage olive oil through my hair from root to end the night before. It saturates and protects the hair from all heat elements. Gives it a healthy glow and natural not greasy sheen. I never wear it on my hair just at night to condition before a wash. Kind of like a hot oil treatment.

  • hey Yasjencon i am really interested on mayb contacting u on im or sumway 2 pay you 2 treat my hair or 4 me 2 gyt a better deep undertsanding ...bcuz the way u made the video is awsome and really grabs my attetion...thanku 4 evrything ur advices sounds verry good and most of all helpfull ...

  • That is a pretty scarf

  • what if you just want to relax your hair, but not straighten it with a blow dryer/flat iron? I also want to get away from using untra sheen greas on my hair. I want to have my hair look shiny and not be tangled, but kind of natural. What advice for that kind of look? Please give some tips. :)

  • i dunno, i'm sorry i cant help

  • Why doesn't this girl show her hair? Isn't a video about hair care? .... lol...

  • do u use anything on your scalp? thanks

  • shea butter only on dry spots

  • hi wass up I just wanted say that you have a beautyful hair.and alsoI wanted to ask you when you pick the rollers from the steamer does it burn your fingers?

  • no you dont leave em on that long.

  • how cud u do a hair video and have adice when we cany even see ur own hair. for all we know ur hair regime could have made u bald!

  • your make up looks very nice:D

  • wut is ur hair regiment i tried to find the video and i couldnt can u give me a list of products thanks

  • this is my regimen. there are other videos, lots of them on products that i like

  • I am in love with that silk headscarf. I've looked on ebay and no luck for something as cute. Your tips are right on point. exactly what I do and it's gotten me almost to mid back length so far :)

  • Hey I was curious, when you "wash" your hair so many times during the week are you always using Shampoo? or do you conditioner wash a few times of the week without the shampoo?

  • i use shampoo most of the time but i am learning how to do conditioner washes

  • Hi Thank You for taking the time to do the videos. Since you 've learned how to do conditioner washes, how do you like them?? How often do you do them?, What is your technique and would you recommend doing them or stick with shampoo??

  • Where did you get your chi serum from..i have been looking every where for that stuff because i dont want to order off the internet...

  • i got it off the internet. i ordered 5 sample sizes in a set off ebay and i still have them

  • is your hair permed??

  • yes

  • what program do you use to add text to your videos?

  • reg old windows movie maker.

  • you have a perm right?

  • Oh okay, It sounds live, thanks!

  • What was that 2nd song that you had playing in the background, I've watched this video soo many times, I'm really starting to like it. Its the slow one.

  • girl i watched this vid a couple times too and i dont know, i have so many songs on my ipod. the voice sounds like christina aguilera a little. find her newest cd and double click on the song titles (on itunes) and maybe that will help you. it could be anyone though LOL

  • It is Beautiful Disaster by Kelly Clarkson

  • thanks, i have so many songs i dont know what the heck i am listening to half the time

  • I hope this not offensive, but you look like a younger Tyra Banks! :)

Anyways, thanks so much for the videos!!

    [[hugs]]

  • I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I purchased the sonia kashuk on amazon and I looooove it!! I'm at a 12 week stretch with my relaxer and that thing went all the way through my newgrowth. I have never been able to brush my newgrowth so easily before, that brush is awesome!!! Thanks for this tutorial!! Oh I also got the caruso rollers!!

  • 3-5 times a week??..how come u wash ur hair so much?..juss asking not tryn to seem rude

  • because it gets dirty quickly from products and sweat from the gym

  • omg....you don't know how much I love you for this video. Both sides of my father's family had really long hair(thank god I adopted that) so I've been trying to grow out my hair but even though it grows really fast I have a lot of damage because I married my flat iron. Talk about once a week :( at 410 degrees. but yea i'll definitely follow your tips.

  • Hey, I was thinking about purchasing the Caruso rollers, but I read some reviews on it and each review said the same thing, the product only last no longer than 6 months. Is this true. Everyone said they have to buy at least 3 within a year or something. Don't get me wrong I've heard it works wonders, people love it, they just say it stops working quickly.

  • Do you wash your hair with shampoo all the times during the week? Or do you just conditioner-wash? Thanks

  • when i wash it is usually with shampoo. i dont co-wash really but i want to try

  • Maybe more people will be interested if they could actualy see what you hair looks like after you do that?

i think without that there not alot of point..

but im male so i have no idea.

  • lol i was wondering the same thing.

  • thanks for visiting even though you are a male. LOL! my hair is out in a lot of my other vids

  • Where do you find that brush you use, how do you spell it, I tried to look it up but I don't think I have the name right, Thanks!

  • target sonia kashuk

  • you remind me of leah remini from the king of queens.you look alot like her!

  • Thanks, that really helps. I'm going to try out your regimens, they seem foolproof. I'll let you know how its going. Keep the videos coming. Much Love!

  • I noticed that you said you keep your hair in one style, but don't you get bored with that? Although I think your ideas are great to grow your hair. But, what's the purpose of growing it if you can't style it. Dont you ever want to switch it uup. If so what other protective styles do you wear. Also, is it not good to wear a loose pony with your hair hanging out.

  • i keep it in one style due to my job. i dont get bored. i can style it if i feel like it. when i feel like it i use caruso rollers, braidouts, or flatiron. i have a simple style and i like simple styles, not with all that flash and gel and stuff. i dont wear a loose ponytail with my hair hanging out. i wear it in a bun, we cant have our hair hanging out.

  • Where do you get pony tail holders like that with no elastics?

  • walgreens

  • Really, I've never seen them. Whats the name of 'em.

  • scruncii brand. i think thats how you spell it. they are hard to find but i always see them there. i have seen them at dollar general when i was visiting down south also. you could prob make them out of pantyhose

  • good video.

my hair is pretty much like yours. but my hair to me is short (just touches my shoulders and i died my hair back in november and it reallllly broke me hair bad and im trying to grow it out). but i was wondering. like did you still pull hair back when it was short? and i thought pulling your hair back in a ponytail brakes the ends.

  • i alway pull my hair back, not tight though, i havent had a prob yet

  • Im sure youve heard this a thousand times...But you are so beautiful.

  • Hey! Im loving you hair videos. Before you cut you hair to chin length how long was it? The reason I ask is Im trying to figure out if it is in your genetic make up to have long hair or is it the routine that you use that is growing you hair? It may be a little of both, I dont know. But this will help me to determine a realistic hair goal. Thanks :)

  • the longest my hair had ever been was a little past shoulder length. it was right at shoulder length before i cut it

  • do you ever show your hair?

  • yeah i show my hair in other videos

  • what was that neutrogena product you use

  • triple moisture leave in conditioner

  • i dont wrap. i wont know if its good or bag, just not my thing. there are plenty of women that do wrap with long hair and i was thinking of trying it but i havent got around to it

  • Your Awsomee and Funnny

  • You are awesome, great tips! Plus all the products you use are really easy for me to get hold of in the UK, unlike stuff like Miss Jessies, so that's twice as awesome! Thank you :)

  • I never heard of fiber gum where can i get it

  • the drugstore

  • I love your eye makeup your very pretty

  • I have that dryer and that darn flaking silver is flaking off of mine too! At least I know I didn't do something to it to make that happen..lol.

  • beautiful hair. i have heard a lot of good things about neutrogena hair products; maybe i will be lucky enough to catch them on sale one week and try them out.

  • you are beautiful! ...love your vids :-)

  • Another great video. :) Thank you so much for taking the time out to help people like me who have no clue what to do with their hair. Your effort is greatly appreciated.

I was wondering do you know what the exact name of the dove mist you were talking about is? I would really like to get it the next time I am at the store. Thanks

  • i am sorry i dont. i just know its a moisturising mist

  • I am so scared to go get my end clipped cause they always cut to much...but I fear that if I do it myself I won't do it right

  • oh lol

  • Do you trim yourself or go to a salon? If you do trim could you do a tutorial?

  • i trim myself and i did a video but its kinda horrid

  • I never seen the Chi iron at target but I'm going to look again

  • alot of people love the chi iron. i am trying to get it but its expensive. were did u get urs?

  • i like the maxi glide too. i got my chi from target for $80 so it was still expensive

  • oh my goodness you are stunning!!

good advice by the way :)

  • your hair is pretty....(i have those ponytail holders and they r the best...the only kind i ever use)!!!!

  • Do you do pre_shampoing?? Using a conditionner before you shampoo ?

  • Why do you wash your hair so many times? It doesn't take the moisture out of your hair??

  • Washing your hair does not take the moisture out of it. Its the harsh shampoos is what dries your hair out. Actually its very important to keep the scalp clean so the hair can grow health.

  • What is the name of the brush you use?

  • Hello, I love your vid. Thank you for all the wonderful advice. Can you please tell me the name of the brush you refer to in this vid and where did you get it? Thanks!!

  • the brush is a sonia kashuk brush from target found in her makeup section

  • thanks for the video it was very helpful, good advise

  • Where do you get the ponytail holders from?

  • anywhere like walgreens or target or riteaid

  • Do you remember the brand of the ponytail holders? Thanks for the videos.

  • scrunchi (i dont know how to spell it)

  • You look like Fatima from ANTM season 10 on the opening pic. Both of you are so pretty! Are you Somali/Somalian? They are a beautiful set of people. Aaris Zilton.

  • i am not sure. i always wondered if i was though. thanks! especially with the face shape and the forehead hahaha

  • Hey, when you say you wear your hair in a bun how do you wear it and make it look cute?

  • Chi flat irons are the best

  • Awesome video.

I'm going to watch your other videos

  • thanks for helping me out

  • I love this vid, its very informative.i am currently trying to grow my hair. You mentioned u wash your hair 3 to 5 times a week. Is it safe to do so? as i was told that doing so can make the hair break badly.

  • hey good video... just a bit of friendly advice? i mean i don't even know if it's true but my mom's always tellin me this. a ponytail/pullin your hair back ALL the time isnt good for the hair especially if it's tight! just wanted to tell ya cuz i'm tryin to grow out my hair too so yeah.. um not tight at all! gotta be mad delicate with your hair- & u doin a good job of that, except for your tight ponytails! lol ok bye!

  • thanks for looking out but i have been wearing my hair back for 10 yrs most of the time and i have not had a prob with thinning ends. i have to for my job actually. i think as long as you dont brush and gel it back into a tight ponytail then you are good. i think you have to be careful but i am not delicate with it. how fun is it to have long hair if you have to fuss over it all the time. but diff people do have diff hair so your mom could be right about your hair.

  • hey, great vid. We use so much of the same products (the chi, chi serum, both aveda pomades, etc). I have a question about that blue aveda spray you suggested though, for after workout. Isn't that full of water? I was wondering how that would work out for those of us with perms. Let me know because I might pick it up. Also, what are you wearing on your lips in this vid? I like it. Thanks

  • first on the lips.... girl those are my natural lips! LOL! they are sooo pink huh! it is water with other ingredients in it.you only need a light hand, all my products are used with a light hand. i have had those chi samples for over 1 year and still havent finished 1 bottle so same with the spray. i mist my hair if i want to refresh it before i pull it back or if my hair is real wet from a workout to try to refresh it, i then moisturize it and pull it back. like i said dove mist is similar.

  • Cool video - where is the Chi iron sold?

  • i got it from target

  • I really would like to see what your hair looks like after the Caruso rollers. I have been debating about getting them for over a year.

  • the next time i do them (remember it may take a while) i will try to remember to film or take a pic or something

  • hahaha. thanks, maybe i should just always leave the scarf on!

  • Great video and some very good products

  • thanks ma!
