  • Holy nostalgia :D

  • OH god! i never knew of this easter egg... will try it myself right now. I just love that music

  • we will never forget bungie's halo. 343 probably will ruin halo.

  • When I hear this song, I zoom in at the hornets flying and listen to the wind, it reminds me of how much humanity has done. Absolutely amazing.

  • this is a refresh easter egg to halo 1 same easter egg in it

  • This is a sad song. It should be for a funeral

  • @rollin5627 It is, dedicated to the Bungie employee who died in a car crash.

  • @Techiess Really?

  • @rollin5627 Quite so, it is what it sounds like. I found the original post by Bungie at one point but I lost the bookmark when I had to re-format my hard drive.

  • HOW DID YOU FIN DIS 2 YEARS BE4 MEH

  • @vghardcore Lol. When your a tough badass, who nees a coat.

  • @vghardcore Lol. When your a tough badass. Who nees a coat.

  • arbiter: "cheif come on we've got to stop truth where are you going"

cheif: "hold on i just have to listen to this song"

    *halos fire*

    cheif:" worth it"

  • The winter was so cold in the Stair of Grief! That our weapos rusted and we had to fight the enemy with our bare hands! Do you know how hard it is to strangle the undead?

  • ima go play halo3 and find that rite now =)

  • I still think Bungie should of let Halo end after 3, just out of respect. The ending was so perfect...

  • @Retr0bit they did, odst is based around the events of halo 2 and reach comes before halo 1

  • @halo3dia I was referring to the franchise...

  • @Retr0bit :o well halo 4 isnt being made by bungie, blame 343 industries :p

  • @halo3dia I know, that's what I really don't like. Save for the cliffhanger scene at the end, 3 ended on a beautiful note, and both the Flood and Covenant were defeated. Aside from XBLA Multiplayer centric titles, I don't see why they should go on.

  • i always skip the scarabs because its epic to watch fellow unsc troops fighting against massive covenant superwhepons

  • 117 likes!? win!!! :D

  • halo will not die without bungie, halo will die without Martin O' Donnell

  • I just got the 117th like! :-) Yay ;-)

  • AAHGGGGG look to your right when you hear this. The sng coincides with the massive drop-off from the edge of the citadel soooooooo well!

  • 117,000 views anyone? hah? hah??!!!!....

  • Thanks for this vid. I literally just found it.

  • isn't this is in the tribute room of reach aswell?

  • @Midget5019 yes, but some times if you play with curious people, they will press the switch that ends it before you hear it

  • @Midget5019 sure is been there lol

  • ehemm myth TFL song

  • ohhoohhohohohh!! jiizz in my pants!

  • if you looked up when that was going on you would see hornets doing a flyby

  • It's kinda funny because this tune is the only one (that I'm aware of) already tacked on as a bonus track in one of the Halo soundtrack CDs. However, such a gorgeous melody indeed...

  • sad song

  • this is what spartan 117 listens to in his down time

  • It's true me and my friends found it when we were mucking about

  • it made me cry

  • this song is in two missions in halo reach

  • Woah this tune is in every single Halo including Reach and excluding Halo Wars....its from the Myth series that Bungie made back in the day! i remember that shit!

  • this is so good and sad

  • where is it in odst and reach?

  • @superelite21 Club errera in reach

  • Oh.. My.. God.. Now I see why they put that song there. Its a beautiful view from that spot!

  • please BUNGie, i'm a brazilian player from myth the fallen lords and myth II soulbligjter, this is the best strategy game I ever played in my whole life, the multplayer system was Awesome, I Loved that ranked game system that bungie put in the game, How I miss myth tfl and myth II , I hope one day bungie make another myth with the same ranked multplayer system, Was the best Game I Ever played online!

  • After three years I didn't know that!:D

  • How would anyone find that!?!?!?!

  • The other side is microsoft sam!!!

  • The Siege of Madrigal

    Friday August 8, Otter Ferry

Our vanguard has crossed the Scamander unchallenged and remains hidden on the southern bank of the river. Their assault will begin two hours after midnight against Shiver’s right flank, at the same time the Madrigal garrison throws open the Gate of Storms and attacks her from the front.

  • But I won’t be anywhere near Madrigal when this happens. An hour before the main attack a small group of men and I will head in the opposite direction and strike at the enemy camp alone, hoping to divert forces and attention from the city before the real battle begins.

The plan is to fight our way across a bridge and into the captured village of Comfort. From there we’ll locate the enemy camp and create as much of a diversion as possible.

  • Every thrall that remains in the camp to deal with us is one less that our main force must hack to pieces at Madrigal.

  • i spent hours there on this game listing to this, it was my time out place ^^

  • i wonder where it is in Reach

  • @bagelisdelish in dr halseys lab and in a club

  • @bagelisdelish its in the club when ur flying the falcon on New alexandra

  • Coincidentally, this video showed up in my recommended list just after I completed TFL!

  • For some reason I can't do this... is it only with 4 player online co op???

  • crying face :'(

  • God Myth was an amazing game.

  • this song fits exactly with the game o.o

  • this music is epic

  • Pity this wasn't used more openly in any of the games. It's a great song. Wish I could have played myth when it was around. =(

  • Damn it Bungie make another myth

  • I only play the fallen lords but after that i think i gonna search the others

  • that is awesome, myth one of the best games out there!

  • damn, i hate how most people are acting like halo introduced this song, arent there any myth fans who watch this video!?

  • More than you'd think.

    Myth is very much better.

  • Yes, I concur

  • Can it be? Other people who know of the world of Myth? Hello my kin! lol

  • Yes, man. Me too.

It is from Myth. But some stupid people says that it is from HALO.

    >:(((

  • Ive heard of myth. but never been able to play it.

    BTW: Anyone tried marathon?

  • heck yes! i remember playing marathon on my super old mac that was in my basement and getting the crap scared out of me by the sounds those aliens make!

  • OMG

Myth fallen lords.. ohhh forever in my heart

  • This is supposed to be in ODST someware.

    how do i know?

    Check bungie's tweets on twitter:

'Marty wants to know if anybody's found Siege of Madrigal in #ODST yet?'

    Bungie's Twitter:

    Bungie

  • Halo ODST Has this.

    watch?v=QheXLyAe9h8

  • lol, i'm doing this for my music solo project =)

  • my fav glitch ever and its from one of bungies first games but idk the name

  • I remember hearing this for the first time on Halo C. E. I went straight to the keyboard and tried to play it. Took me an hour or so to get it but when i eventually did I was happy =D

  • Myth: The fallen lords song

  • this is actually from Halo, it's from Bungie's greatest game ever, myth on the level "the siege of madrigal" listening to this reminds me of the greatest tactital game ever made.

  • Its pieces like this that made me attatched to halo as a child. Ill never forget this game.

  • I just learnt that song less than Half an hour ago!

    I love it!

  • i love halo music

  • halo 1 siege of madrigal!!!!

  • that song has such bad connotations in the myth series you only ever hear it when something sad happens like hordes of the undead completely destroying shit!

  • HALO 1 HALO 1 HALO1 =O

  • this was in Myth TFL too (duhhhh)

this is a classic track from level 3 called The Siege of Madrigal. Its one of O'Donnells favorite pieces, so he likes to leave it everywhere so the future can have a taste of the past.

  • this was in Halo 1 too

  • song starts at 0:44

  • what a beautiful song..

kinda instills hope in you for humanity

but then again it's just a game..

  • @kevislash If he would have waited there is more. He left and started it all over again.

  • @kevislash

the snow isnt falling hard enough to impede soulblighters advance on madrigal

    but theres always hope

  • Comment removed

  • i found this egg by accicdent an thought it was ment to add drama

  • I like the wind blowing in the background its a nice added touch

  • omg...i remember playing that game! that was the best game ever. too bad bungie didn't continue the series.

  • have u played the 2 prequels from it?

  • prequels? if you mean myth 1 and 3, i only played 3. i only tried a demo for myth 1.

  • Hee-hee! That's funny! I know that the "Siege of Madrigal" was Myth: TFL's most liked song.

But my personal favorite is "The Last Battle".

Bungie's Myth series has a funny concept of the war between good and evil.

It wasn't good would eventually triumph, it was a cycle of a thousand years of Light followed by a thousand years of Dark. In the game, you help to break the cycle. If it went the way that it was supposed to, the heroes would have lost and their land would be back in another Dark age.

  • i think i know why they put the music there

because the war was nearly finished by then the covenant separatists/united nations space command had won victory and then it was known as the great war and so john-117 is MIA(missing in action) and thel'vadamee and rtas'vadum has returned to sanghelios with the shadow of intent (with ntho'saromee and usze'tahamee)and many forgotten memories(such as the keyes and johnson)kept in there memos

    no myth no halo

  • This is going to sound stupid, but has anyone else realized that "Madrigal" is the planet glassed in the newest Halo book, "The Cole Protocol"?

  • i have

  • ha! wow. something i havnt found. ten points

  • Wow, what a blast from the past.

The Fallen Lords was the best Myth game, and that particular track embodies why. Of all the Myth games, Fallen Lords best captured the bleak sense of hopeless determination against the forces of evil in the game's narrative.

And after every battle in the game, when you were given the after-battle stat-sheet listing those who died among your forces (in Myth, every unit was unique and had an individual name), that song was played.

Man, that was a great game.

  • So it did play every time you finished a level!!! *Jumps to old PowerMac to kick some serious Thrall ass on Legendary*

  • That's strange, my friend has a collector's edition Halo1 soundtrack, and at the very end after the epic climax music, you wait for 10 seconds, and it plays THE WHOLE SONG, not just the opening tune.

  • is this in halo2 if so i really wanna know where its at

  • No, that's not just the Siege of Madrigal; I think that played everytime you finished a level. God, that brings back memories (Myth:The Fallen Lords FTW!!!). But the Siege of Madrigal was particularly notorious (in my opinion) for being a bitch to beat. You take 18 Warriors and 7 Archers against about 100 Thrall (warriors) and 2 dozen Souless (Archers). And in Myth, unlike most strategy games, you work with what you have. No building.

  • I love that mission. On the normal difficulty, you could beat it almost solely with the archers, if you were good with your unit positioning. I remember that mission would always rank up my archers with lots of experience and turn them into super-archers for the rest of the game (as long as I could keep them alive, of course).

  • i found that on the level "halo" msg me and il show it too you my gt is:doomslayer24

  • Демонстрация нового в переносном смысле болта.На текстуры перчаток, костюмов прошу внимания не обращать.Это просто так, а в финалке будет совсем другое...

  • dude i dont get it what is that song???

  • Bungie made games before halo.

  • on the other side there is voices of arby n the chief

  • After you kill the 2 Scarabs (It's 2 if I remember right, I was on legendary), you go up that big ramp and if you get in the right spot, it plays the song.

  • did u steal this by mcnier and he crew they did the same

  • Check the days these were added. Mine was added before his.

  • o kk

  • smart..........

  • @schueboo steal? how can someone steal an easter egg in a fucking video game? you must not be too bright pal...

  • Can som1 help me out this is a great song I just cant find it for download. So does any1 know where to download this song?

  • well i heard that its at the end of one of the Halo soundtracks but im not sure.

  • perfect vid ha(:

  • Myth The Fallen Lords...great game!

  • This is a breathtaking moment, and knowing the history behind the song adds even more sorrow and beauty to the scene. Looking out over the utter wonder of the Ark, knowing that it has to be destroyed, and hearing this sorrowful tune play... Beautiful.

  • am at the bit RYT NOW in halo1 were that song is am gonna do it on halo3 now TY were is it on halo2 btw

  • Refer to video description.

  • OMG...ich bin schwul!!!

  • To all of you young ones, the song is from the much much older game by Bungie, Myth: The Fallen Lords and btw I personally think it kicks more ass than the halo series ever did. ^^

  • Agreed. Myth: The Fallen Lords came out in 1997 from memory, and remains one of the best, and best delivered, stories in computer gaming history.

  • @Vexus666 Lol I'm only 14 and unlike the n00bs I actually played Myth and Marathon.

  • @Vexus666 Agreed

  • @Vexus666 ...are you really comparing a RTS to a FPS?

  • @JJAB91 Apparently I am and the people agree with me. :P

  • @Vexus666 i cant believe someone replyed to your comment from 2 years ago :D

  • @palindinX It happens to the best of us... more so, though, to those who don't care to look when said comment was posted. :D

  • @palindinX i cant believe its not butter

  • didn't know that. gonna try it now actually. haha =)

  • wat is the signifigance of this song?

i heard it has a sad background to it

  • In myth: the fallen lords (great game go buy or download it) the narrator is describing how Madrigal, the greatest city of the western empire, is about the engage in a battle for the empire's existence as an army of undead approach it. "the Madrigal garrison throws open the Gate of Storms and attacks her from the front." Go to demonoid if you want to download myth 2, from there you can download myth one onto the m2 engine for free.

  • Madrigal is my last name OMG! That is so awsome!!!!!!

  • this is the recon armor glitch! You need a song and thats it. Then go up to the wall and laser it and a hunter will appear holding recon, myth? my friends done it.

  • myth amazing game

  • All hail the brave men who fell a the siege of Madrigal

  • lol its a good song but it was sorta funny when it ended and he went down and up again

  • go look ... and it is true, everybody knows also there in halo 1 and 2 :)

  • Yeah man, the story behind this song is very very sad, I think his wife was jumped around in a car/accident and the baby died. =( As soon as I heard about it I alllmost started to cry. D= Also, yes this song was made for him.

  • my friends on xbox live said that this song is about a bungie worker was gonna have a kid but his wife had a miscarriage is that true??

  • ur a pro!

  • I did get there and i sleeped and just when i woke up mc said like this:"I'm getting bored of standing here@and i had a sniper so MC did take suicide just cuz i sleeped for 10 hours with my computer on.

  • this is real i heard when i got up there

  • same

  • WTF is myth? i read the description and i have no idea what myth is someone reply plz

  • It was Bungies first game in 1997. It was a real time strategy game in which you controlled medieval soldiers against monsters and demons. Was a good game.

  • Actually it was real-time tactic not rts, there's a slight difference

  • Myth is an old videogame by Bungie from the 90's i think

  • thats a cool song.

  • Such an awesome song. Is there more too it?

  • you can find this song on the Halo OST. A

At the end of the track 'Halo', this piece of music is played.

  • i like this song its sad tho

  • It nade ne cry.

  • Beautiful song.

    Long live the Elder.

  • Nice Find!

  • theres sposed to be a hunter there that it u kill u can use the recon amor for a week

  • i think its permanent isnt it?

  • Originally from Myth: The Fallen Lords. 2nd game made by Bungie. Marathon being the first.

  • the song should be on more than one map and be an EXTRA achievement if you find them all

  • Not everything needs an achievement. This is for true Bungie fans, those who know of this egg from Halo 1, and those who know of it from the original source.
